If I could give a 0 star for my experience, I would. I could never recommend this service to any brides I know. As a wedding photographer myself, I am so disappointed seeing sneak peek photos coming back and my makeup all messed up. It makes me so sad that I felt ugly moments from walking down the aisle because the makeup was so cracked and coming off under my eyes (see photos). My MOH tried to reapply makeup 5+ times throughout the day, but it wouldn't blend with the artist's makeup and the base kept cracking. I looked scaly and like I had a black eye where the concealer came off. Applying more concealer made it worse. So my makeup looked great at the trial and when it was initial done the day of the wedding. But after only 1 hour, it started cracking. I have to pay additional fees to have them retouched and photoshopped given how sloppy the makeup was. This is unacceptable and is such a stain on my wedding day. ALSO after explaining why my experience and makeup was so bad, the artist and owner proceeded to try and blame me saying they used my foundation and potentially mixed water-based with silicone based. I NEVER gave them my foundation or even said I wanted to use my own. This is so unprofessional. "Thanks for getting back to me. So, actually I never gave her my foundation physically or told her what i use. I actually specifically said that i'm glad we're not using my face products because it's not for professional use, and i was so happy I hired a pro. That was our conversation. The only product of mine that we used was my liquid waterproof eyeliner because I didn't like how, in the trial, the eyeshadow liner smudged all under my lid. So unless she knew my product and went out and purchased it specifically, or took it out of my bag without me knowing, I did not use my products. After a quick search, I found that "The Clinique Moisture Surge line, specifically the Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, is formulated as a water-based moisturizer. It's described as a refreshing gel-cream that feels like a burst of water on the skin, and it's oil-free." "Yes, the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is a water-based primer" Also, if that was the issue, shouldn't the artist check? This was probably the most disappointing part of my day. I felt scaly and had looked in the mirror before walking down the aisle trying not to shed more tears because I felt so ugly. There wasn't time for me to redo my makeup myself, otherwise I would. Here is me using the same foundation I use every day the day after I got married--flawless. I never wanted to do my own make up the day of the wedding, but I feel like I should have. I understand that mistakes happen, and I believe that Britney is a good make up artist, however, this is a mistake that I cannot afford, especially on the most important day... While I really appreciate the (PARTIAL) refund for my makeup, my experience cannot be replaced. We paid $1200-$1300 for makeup and hair, and I cannot redo my wedding day." Great job on the hair, the makeup was awful and it makes me regret booking my anniversary photo shoot because of how awful I looked. There were already a few red flags but I pushed forward because there had to be a reason they had such rave reviews. They were a little unresponsive at first, but there was so much time until my shoot I ignored it. Then they reached out to me two days before the shoot to let me know the makeup artist needed more time and it would be an additional $250 for her to start an additional 25 minutes. I balked at this, but it is what it is. That's the fee and I can't move my photoshoot time on such short notice. The ladies were very professional and nice. I love the way my hair looked when she was done. I hated my makeup. The makeup made me look orange (even before the photo editing done by photographer) and I felt like I looked 20 years older. It was what it was and I had to do my anniversary shoot with that terrible makeup on. The edges aren't even blended in my eyeshadow and the blush doesn't show at all. The eyelashes they used were the KISS brand from the drugstore. How do you use those when that's what you charge? I wasn't going to say anything because this happened 5 weeks ago, but I got the pictures back today and everyone I've shown the photos to agree that my makeup makes me look awful. There were comments about how my eyes look heavy and uneven. Someone else said I didn't even look like myself. Please don't waste the money to book them. The photos will speak for itself. Once she was done it looked nothing at all like the photo!!! I asked for light makeup and came out with my face looking like a shiny sweaty painting! Where do I even begin?! Allison, Jenny and the team are EXCEPTIONAL ladies who came to my rescue on such short notice. They literally are so down to earth, professional, and everything you would want in a HMU team. First off - Allison is wonderful to work with. She responded in a timely manner, and was great at keeping me up to date regarding protocol for services considering COVID-19 pandemic. Because of these extra measures and training that she and the entire team went through, I was rest assured of their caution in working with myself and the girls in my wedding party. We could not have been happier with our experience with Reveal. I instagram stalked a ton of hair and makeup artists in Oahu and I felt like their results were just great every time. I also loved that they had an airbrush option since we were getting married in June and I was super paranoid about sweating it all off. They did such an amazing job our makeup stayed all night! We were two brides and we had 4 bridesmaids, 1 officiant and 2 mother of the brides and every single one of us loved our hair and makeup. My wife and I both did hair and makeup trials the week before which was awesome because we got to know our stylists and were able to spend some time really thinking about any adjustments we wanted for the day of without the pressure of time and a bunch of other people around. We also used them for spray tans for some of us and they were so nice and accommodating and their airbrush foundation matches the airbrush tan so if anything happens they can fix any small stuff day of, not that any of us needed that! I cannot speak highly enough of Reveal. They executed my vision perfectly and gave me suggestions in areas I wasn't sure of. I never wear makeup and have had bad experiences in the past where I hated my makeup when done professionally, but Reveal completely changed that.
