2 stars for the staff, 5 for the beers. I like New England IPA's and this place certainly does not disappoint there, also for 5 bucks a pint, great deal! The staffing has slowly switched over to mostly college girls pouring the beer it seems like. There used to be a blonde dude that worked up front but now he's behind the scenes instead of pouring. The staff is simply not personable anymore, and the old fat guy is beyond rude. If you like IPAs it's probably great. If you don't there's not really anything for you. The blonde ale was the only non-ipa and it was ok, but nothing special. One friend got a glass of wine, but said it was a bit stale like it had been sitting for a minute. Other than the beer, it's a super cool space with cornhole and other games and it's the kind of place that's really great for hanging out with a group of friends. They let you bring in food or order from local restaurants, so that's a plus. read more

Loved this place on a Thursday at 2pm. Lots of customers but good customer service and lots of variety of my favorite beer, IPA's. The only downside is the price. For four tall cans it was $18 for the Reno as F*** IPA. I thought I'd get a better deal going to the distributor vs the grocery store where the Revision IPA is $12 for a four pack of bottles. But I still buy them because they have great beers and you won't be disappointed in the taste and quality. read more

Best selection of super tasty hazy IPA's that I have ever seen all on draft at the same time!! Staff is super friendly too and beers are cheap. Like $5.50 per pint or something no matter the ABV and they're all a full pour...no 12oz bs at least for the IPA's. This is our favorite brewery in the Reno hands down. read more

Beer is awesome.. this review has nothing to do with the quality of the product, but damn the staff is horrible! The blonde beer poorer chick was drunk off her ass to the point where she had no control over the volume of her voice. So damn loud!! There may have been some employee thing going on at the bar because most of the people there had revision t shirts on.. all were really loud and some were even vaping. Vaping?? Is that still a thing? Take that shit to lead dog! I realize they have not been open that long but the ambience is like a homeless shelter. I agree with a previous reviewer say that they need more than cheap picnic tables for seating, my back is screaming when I leave. Torn scotch taped paper signs on the door is what greets you along with a floor that has seen some wear and tear. Now all you "beer heads" that are going to say sure but what about the beer? I did like the beer but we now have other craft breweries in the area that are doing a helluva job as well who can match the beer in my very humble opinion. I think that this is the most unappetizing establishment I have ever been in. I am hoping that this will soon change because this is not where I would feel comfortable taking a date. read more

Very new place. After sitting there for 20 minutes with the kids waiting for my husband to get served, I was approached by a woman with a big dog to tell me no kids allow due to city ordnance (ironically, her young son went in with her and a big dog...very hygienic). She wasn't mean, but funny no one told us until we paid. Not sure how beer taste because I never got to try it. We had to leave, but most breweries these days will allow kids, oh well. Too bad we didn't read the sign, our fault. We will not be coming back since we always have our kids with us. Need more server behind the bar, 20 mins to get a pint was way too long. read more

Great craft brewery as long as you like hoppy beers. They focus on hoppy and that's fine. I enjoy them. Most everything is good. The in house pint prices are in line with area but I wish that their 4pack to go prices were better. It's basically what you would pay in the general market. That's the brewery game these days. Granted it is a fresh as it gets when you get it here so that's a bonus. Either way it's worth a visit as they do offer more other styles these days. In the end, good beer and a cool spot. I love this place! The idea of a great watering hole with an elevated feel. Life size Jenga and games. Patio tables with a view of the brewery inside allow for large groups. My brother told me I had to check this place out when I was in town, and it did not disappoint. Great beer, friendly folks, cool environment and lots of fun to hang out at on a Friday afternoon. The line for beer to go was nearly out the door at a couple of times while I was there. I met some friendly people and played UNO for a while, sampled a couple flights and got some beer to go. I did find it a bit strange there were 20+ IPAs, 4 stouts and no other beer styles though, and the beer to go was a bit pricey, which is why I gave four stars instead of five. Let me just bullet point it for you: *Their specialty is IPA; if you're averse to this, probably avoid it. *They offer multiple versions of New England style hazies: if you're into this, why aren't you already there! *There are two distinct spaces to enjoy. Both have picnic tables and bar seating. The warehouse space has games of all kinds. *Food is not available on site but welcome from the outside. *Anything other than beer and water is not really available on site, so a designated drive should bring their own provisions. Overall, 5 stars on the beer quality, but the whole business could be next level if beer variety increases or food becomes available on site. Either way, they'll survive! read more

Only come here if you LOVE IPA's. Seriously if your not an IPA drinker, you probably won't enjoy the trip. There's maybe 18 beers on tap, with maybe 15 of them being IPA's. So if your an IPA lover, its a dream place. Me and my brother came in for some tasters before meeting up with our folks for happy hour. We opted for a flight. I enjoyed most my beers, while my brother who isn't a IPA drinker only found 1 he could drink. Dr. Lupulin 3x is a dangerous drink. It's an 11.3% Triple IPA that doesn't drink like a triple. Usually with something that high you have high notes of malt and can taste the strong alcohol percentage. This one I could pound a bomber of and be wasted face fairly easily. I need to come back when I have more time and explore the menu more, but enjoyed the ones I had Lots of stuff to do while you drink your beers too. There's several corn hole games, large jenga, large connect 4, a video game machine with tons of options, and some regular board games too. read more

The brewery offers local art, games, sports viewings, is dog friendly, and offers great beer. I love the local art featured in the brewery and on their cans. The beer was excellent, we had lights to double IPAs. It was a bit busy so we sat in the warehouse. It was nice but not too comfortable.

I have been wanting to come here for so long, and I finally made it! The staff is awesome and very knowledgeable about their beer. The amount of beer on tap is extensive, so there is lots to try! They do do flights, which I did...and my favorites were the Tahoe Haze and Lovetron, although you really cannot go wrong with any of their brew. Inside, there is a lot if seating, and you can bring your dogs in (awesome!). There are also tons of games to play--board games, air hockey, giant jenga and connect 4. The only minor downside is that they don't have any food or snacks, so make sure to eat ahead of time if need be. Otherwise, if you love beer, this is a must see brewery! read more

Love revision brews, and was very excited when recently my son had a karate competition in Reno. Since he had to be there early, and we had a couple hours to kill, wife and I headed to revision. I checked their website, and websites for a couple other Reno/Sparks breweries to get the low down before we headed over. Low and behold, our teen daughter was with us and it was not until we were at the front door were we alerted that no one under 21 allowed in to the brewery! I know its not the brewers fault, but geez man, put that info on your website. Its the only place I ever visited a brewery and my kids weren't allowed, but dogs are. If I had taken a day to drive up and tour some breweries, I would have really been upset. Just let your customers know ahead of time. I certainly can't find it stated anywhere on your website! read more

My favorite brewery of ALL time. Their beer is by far the best beer I've ever tasted. Every single beer is tasty and interesting without failure. Even the triple IPAs are so good. Their beer is the reason I am obsessed with NE style IPAs. I can NEVER find any beers that compete with Revision. Never has a bitter taste, always fresh. I have tried over 300 NE IPAs and nothing has come close to Revision. Will rep this brewery until the day I die. read more

Unfortunately Narrow breadth of offering, which translates to a broad offering of IPA's. I'd like to coin a new term. IPAery. Revision is an IPAery, and if you like to test your sniffer and your taster across a wide range of IPA's then Revision is your kind of place. I'll be up front. I've been a home brewer and beer aficionado since the 90's, and I find it hard to believe that the IPA is such a hot beer. I'd taste test several nicely balanced beers than have to sit and choke down a single over hopped high alcohol, throat choking IPA. A beer should be sessional, which means you should be able to sit down and drink a few....or more... It's really nice to be able to drink big gulps of tasty, balanced, beers with good body, and IPA's have become quite the opposite; overhopped, low character, over filtered, protein deficient bodiless brews with lots of weird flavors that are not beer flavors, like citrus, and pineapple and ponderosa pine tree pitch and the like. The world is awash with a beautiful, tasty wide variety of beers and the fact that 90% of what are on the menu's at local breweries is a disservice to quaffing public. Many might object to my take on the local craft brew industry, but as brewers with the equipment at hand to make whatever they want, why in the world would they choose to make a dozen or more of one single style at the expense of a world of other possibilities? Agree or disagree, if your world is the IPA you are missing out, and by the way, all those things they're calling IPA's, well they are not, for the most part, what an IPA is supposed to be. Educate yourself on the style and determine for yourself. All that aside, I'm not against a good ipa or two or even three. And revision has some good ones. Kudo's to Revision for finding shelf space even in Tokyo, right along side Ballast Point, Dogfish Head and Stone. read more
