    3/15/24 FYI.

Quality/Quantity - Limited tap menu, see picture. $3 can beers. Tahoe Amber Ale - My favorite beer. Irish Curse Green Lager. - As I was drinking my red, I noticed everyone else drinking the Irish special, so of course I had to try it as well. Food truck = Tacos, Mexican food. See pictures. My wife was not craving Mexican food, so we passed on the food today. Also available specials, see pictures. Beer dinners are also available, see website. Atmosphere - This is where the beer is brewed. But no production on a late Friday afternoon when we arrived. Indoor/outdoor seating, see pictures. Mostly picnic table style seating. Some bar and high top seating, etc. Very kid and dog friendly. Games, well spaced out in the warehouse, see pictures. Plenty of TV's throughout for all to enjoy. Free wifi. Plenty of free parking. Two clean unisex bathrooms. Interesting business hours, see picture. Only open from Thur to Sun. Yelp hours differ. Service - No tours today, as the manager has already gone home. We arrived at approximately 5pm today. Price - $5 a beer + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2012. 2018 - BC taproom opened.

Went here for someone's retirement party and it was my first time here. I personally thought this place was pretty cool. It's a large warehouse where Brewers Cabinet brews their beers and is also a place you can grab a drink. The layout is a large warehouse, half dedicated to brewing and the other half for the public to enjoy their beers and hang out. There's plenty of picnic tables indoor and outdoor. They have a ping pong table, foosball table, dart board, corn hole and other games available. If you are hungry, there is usually a food truck parked in the back that serves Mexican food. The beers were reasonably price ($5). In terms of service, it's nothing fancy as you clean up after yourself and the cashier and person pouring the beers were pleasant. It's located hidden away in an industrial area in Northwest Reno. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a casual layback place to hangout with friends.

Thurs Trivia at Brewer's Cabinet !

Some coworkers asked me to join for trivia night and as I live relatively close I thought, why not?! I've been to the location on California where you can get food, but I didn't know this location existed. I should have though, it's where they brew all their beer! Large open space and a bunch of picnic style tables which is good for groups. There was a food truck the night I showed up, don't know if this is an every night thing. Trivia was fun even though we sucked. I'd go again for sure. It's in an industrial looking area real, but not sketchy looking at all. Ample parking and close to Mayberry park if you wanted to stop after an afternoon at the park. If you need an extra person for your trivia team, let me know!

This was our first time here. The space is huge! Great if you have a larger gathering of people. The outdoor area is great for games. This place is kid friendly as well as pup friendly. Small selection of beers, no liquor FYI. They had a taco truck when we went there which was delicious. I think they switch up the food trucks every so often.

Super location off of West 4th street. It's kind of tucked in the back and it's a great setting next to the river. They have a huge selection of beers and a taco truck that has excellent food! There's plenty of seating, tables and games everywhere. There were 2 parties going on at the same time with plenty of space to spare. Friendly knowledgeable employees. Can't wait to plan a party there

The Brewer's Cabinet has certainly grown a lot in the last few years. Now encompassing two whole buildings downtown, as well as their factory floor out on the west end. This facility has been open to the public for a couple years now, rolling up their doors on weekend afternoons to serve up pints and beer to-go. This being their main warehouse and production site, you get some great values from their dock-sale prices. There are typically about a half-dozen beers on taps, usually newer or seasonal brews, with most pours being around $4-$5 per pint. All their main flagship beers are likewise for sale in cans for $3 each, and crowler fills, beer packs, and keg rentals are all available here, too. Outside there is a grill set up, with the staff cooking up burgers and brats, with a combo plate including chips and a beer running you around $10. Service here has also always been very prompt and friendly, with bartenders usually wanting to talk about the newest addition to their tap list. The newly expanded indoor space itself is great for hanging around and enjoying a few drinks. You'll find much more indoor seating space, all socially distanced, and a few outdoor picnic tables in the back patio area. Several televisions are usually playing whatever games are on, and you can partake in all manner of bar games like cornhole and giant jenga, among others. There is also plenty of swag on display for purchase, ranging from shirts, to growlers, to more interesting sorts of gear and paraphernalia. Still, as staff will tell you, the whole place is still a bit of a work in progress. So stay tuned for more forthcoming updates including an expanded bar, more seating, and even a pizza oven. Being located right near the river and Mayberry Park, this gives them an amazing location to for folks to snag a pint or two after relaxing at the river or a day on the trails. With abundant parking, it is easy enough to drive over, or even just walk from the park. Just be sure to drive slow and stay attentive around the warehouse complex, as there can be heavy foot and vehicle traffic in and out of the various businesses. All in all, Brewer's Cabinet continue to be one of my go-to craft beer spots in Reno, be it downtown or out here. For sure will be back, looking forward to another pint of Dragon Punch or Dirty Wookie. Cheers, guys!

Located in a warehouse area, it's an active Brewery with space for some table games, benches and a sofa. 7 beers on tap today. The deals are their cans to-go. Today it's a 6 pack for $6! No food on premises. Perhaps a food truck stops by later.

    Mike B.

We stopped here about 2pm on a Sunday. We heard about this place from Yelper Joyce T. and thought we would check it out. The location was easy to find and it was helpful that they had some directional signs as well since it's located in a commercial industrial area. We walked in and the smell was incredible. My wife is not a beer drinker and she immediately commented on just how yummy it smelled! There were several people already enjoying their beers and watching various football games on the tv's. We walked towards the counter area and were greeted by the employee working (I wish I would have caught his name). He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We immediately noticed they had a beer on tap, Two Rivers which is a beer that is a partnership between BC and Ninkasi out of Eugene, Oregon. We previously lived in Eugene and have watched their growth and success from afar. I decided to try the Two Rivers and it was tasty! I also enjoyed learning more about their facility. I will be back in a few weekends to try their Moon Rocks IPA and take some home with me. If you haven't been to their restaurant and tap room we would encourage you to check that out as well. Great local business doing some great things!

    Benjamin F.

We were guided here by well-placed signs on the way to Mayberry Park. During this whole end of the world Covid-19 thing the place was open for to go sales with a counter facing the outside and a view inside their production facility. Staff was friendly and had a good sense of humor. Just a nice, general vibe. Prices were awesome, right around a dollar a beer plus tax. And the quality of the locally produced beer is great. I don't even have room at home for it, but I just couldn't turn down the wonderful pricing so I had to get some. Not a whole lot of better, easy ways to enhance your outing while also supporting a local business. Fight back against coronavirus, buy local brew!

    Jim W.

It's a brewery with just enough space to hold fans of this beer and be a pit stop for picking up beer in the cans to-go. Think they might have to expand the seating area soon.

    Dirty Wookie!

We had a great time & enjoyed the BBQ & brews! The guy grilling was absolutely the friendliest & he made a tasty burger & brat two things that you can easily overcooked & they were perfect! Overall a new place to go & definitely you will like the laid back vibe & awesome hospitality. Definitely observing social distancing & wearing gloves & mask. We will definitely be back again for sure.

They specialize in lagers, but over the years their menu has expanded to include all sorts of other styles. Suffice to say, you're going to find something you love here. Some of my perpetual favorites are their Pilsner, which is a very good easy-drinking beer. Add to that selections like their delicious Black Lager, their very outstanding Silver Sage Pale Ale, and their delicious Jalapeno/Habanero beer. And don't skip out on any of their seasonal brews, either, as the crew here are always cooking up something new and exciting to try. Plus, they have a fair portion of their menu available in cans to-go, and can do growlers and growlers to order. I also just love the vibe and energy at this place. It's very chill, cozy, and friendly in the extreme. Between the fantastic staff and the cadre of regulars, it has that real "local pub" sort of feel to it. You can hang out, play a few bar games, watch whatever sport is on the TV, or go sit outside in their wonderful beer garden if the weather is nice. All this ism plus they have events on a semi-regular basis like bar trivia, food-and-beer pairings, Grateful Dead night, or food truck pop-ups. So keep your eyes on their online calendars. Prices for everything are pretty much on par with other breweries and craft bars in town, starting around $8 per pint. There is no real food available here betond a selection of chips, nuts, and admittedly excellent beef jerky. But there are some food options fairly close by to either walk to or get delivered. Parking is usually pretty easy, too, either in their small lot or in street spaces. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Pigeon Head is my favorite brewery in our region. I've been a fan of them for years, and I hope more folks can discover them as well. In the last year or so, I really feel the energy of the Brewery District has shifted east to land along the Wells Ave corridor, with these guys being one of my favorite frequent haunts. Anyone looking for good beers and good vibes should come check them all out. Cheers, all!

Cut and pasted from their website: "Slieve means "A…read moreMountain" in Irish Gaelic, their family roots." Quality/Quantity - Been an extremely long stressful day! So I NEEDED a break from the day to just relax and stop thinking! I gave my wife a few options, a few breweries to choose from (or for me to just go alone, which she would not have let me drink and drive, especially all the way from North Reno). So she/we chose to go to Slieve as I have not been there yet. Actually, all 3 choices were breweries. The good news is that there are more and more new breweries opening. The bad news is that there are more and more good breweries closing, in ALL my hometowns... My first time in a nano brewery; cool. Today I got (and tried the following), all Slieve brands; support local: Oh, I did not know you had a happy hour M-F from 2-5pm; I just missed it by 13 minutes... Should not have spent so much time outside taking pictures for Yelp, lol. Pale Ale - Good, but I prefer more flavor. This is currently my second "go to" beer after reds. Jimbo Porter - Better, but then I tried the Cookie Monster! I also did not taste the coconut. Cookie Monster - My favorite of the beers, so much flavor. And I am NOT usually a sweet beer drinker. It was not an overwhelming stout, probably due to the sweetness, but you can definitely taste the chocolate and slightly coffee and caramel flavors. I would get this again, but it would always have to be my last beer due to the flavors. Beers that I need to come back for when available are: Your reds, IPAs and of course your "Trinity Tripel." Ambiance - On your "about" page on your website, it says you are still looking for a home for your brewery...? Is that accurate or does that page need to be updated? Cool space, indoor and outdoor seating. Bar and table seating. 2 bars, one the back, probably only used for events. Semi private room when you walk in. Ping pong, darts, games, cornhole, cool decor on walls throughout to read, etc. Open 7 days a week, see their website. Yelp's hours/days differ slightly. Event spaces are available; see their website.. Service - Good. We were also greeted by Shannon when she and Phillip came in later for a drink or two... Phillip was too busy drinking to say hi, lol. Price - $8 a beer. The typical cost for good craft beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022 with your nanobrewery; I wish you the best and am glad you own the building to help you weather some "storms."

We heartily agree with Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, U.S. Air Force Veteran that, "Good people drink good beer." So, we all stepped in for a brew. Since most brews are seasonal, we asked what was available, tried a beer apiece and found each was aromatic and mouth-watering and nose-tickling. We noticed others playing a board game who pointed out to us where we could get one, so we played while we drank. Dog-friendly. Disabled-friendly. Has non-alcoholic options. The customer service was adequate. No automatic gratuity was demanded for our attendance here. The bill matched their posted prices. (It's an illegal Deceptive Trade Practice when the bill doesn't match posted prices) No one at this business took my picture without my permission or publicly posted it without my permission. No one at this business offered to commit fraud to reward me or pay me or compensate me for posting 5-star reviews of this business. Local Beer Works has taken the pledge To Leave No Veteran Behind with a Veterans / Military Discount and accommodating to we disabled Veterans for our Special-Needs due to our military Service-connected disabled disabilities. A Veterans Discount is particularly important to Disabled Veterans unable to be employed as they are on a very small and fixed income for life. A Veterans Discount provides a resource to ensure Active Duty and Veterans the opportunity to participate in the American Dream their sacrifices have made possible. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. --Mother Teresa. We left happier than we arrived. I'll be back. For my Customer Rule is: Always visit again a business that has treated you okay AND supports Veterans and Active Duty with a publicly disclosed daily Military and Veterans Discount. I rate 'em 3 stars. According to Yelp ratings' definitions, that's "Ok". "Ok" to me is an acceptable rating of a business that does day in and day out what it is there to do. It's NOT a negative review because doing day in and day out what a business is there to do is NOT easy to do. I added a 4th review star for their having a Military / Veterans Discount as none more cherished in a disabled Veteran's life than those who lighten the burdens from our military Service. Their adherence to laws, that they are dog-friendly and their consideration for disabled people earned 'em the 5th review star because, "A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference." -- Eeyore P.S. Don't message me because in spite of my several complaints to yelp, for years now I am unable to open up any messages in yelp to me :-(

Love that I can park the car right next to the table and keep an eye on the bikes, of course, as long as the parking lot is not packed. The lady working counter was super friendly and patient, wife and I decided to get three flights... so it took us a while to choose what we wanted. It's really cool that they have a bunch of games on a shelf that you can play while you're hanging out. Ambience is definitely pretty sweet, love that the front completely opens up. There is seating inside and outside, and nice clean bathrooms.
