A friend was visiting from out of town so we decided to take him to Revision Brewing. It ended up being the perfect place to catch up! My husband and I were already fans of the original Revision IPA so we both decided to stick with those while our friend had one of the many other offerings. It happened to be Trivia Night in the bigger warehouse room and it was a bit noisier so we sat at one of the picnic tables in the front room where it was quieter. Although we were not hungry, we noticed a food truck out front for those that wanted to grab a bite. We were also happy to see a few well-behaved dogs there and know we will be back with ours one of these days. It's nice to find laid-back, dog-friendly places in town! read more

I am giving this 3 stars because of the two people I came with and their enjoyment of the beers. Based on my preferences, this is a never again. After work a coworker suggested we meet here and grab a drink. I was already on my way out the door so agreed without checking the place out on Yelp. I really should have because this is the IPA Capitol of Reno / Sparks. I came in with one of my coworkers and we ordered while we waited for our other coworker. I looked over the menu and just could not find a shining beacon of hope. I am NOT an IPA fan.. and EVERY BEER was an IPA. I asked the nice lady working there which one tasted the least like an IPA. She suggested one of the taps from an alternate brewery (Firestone Hoppy Pils) that she described as the "least IPA taste." Ok... here goes nothing. Definitely nothing. Not good. So hoppy. Basically an IPA with a different name - calling it a Pils was QUITE generous. Still not a fan - at all. My coworkers however had 2 or 3 each and were quite excited at the selections - especially Revisions own beers. We played corn hole, sat and chatted, weighed a coworker on the old Toledo scale and relaxed. Great, easy vibe but wow, so exclusive to IPA's it abandons mass appeal. I won't go back, even to keep coworkers company, because there is NOTHING for me to drink. I need a more well rounded selection. Your place is awesome but you definitely don't welcome non - IPA drinkers. read more

Alex wanted to check out a new brewery so he heard about revisions. I was hoping they had a porter or a stout or saison but they had a single IPA, double IPA and a pale ale. I tried all 3 and I really enjoyed the double IPA. I was shocked! I usually do not like hoppy beers. Although I do enjoy lagunitas IPA and the arrogant bastard IPA. I can't wait until they have events with food trucks so it'll bring more to this venue. Very spacious and a lot of benches. The art is also appealing. Give a little simple flare to the place which I enjoyed while drinking my Minnie IPA. The brewing fermenters are ginormous and beautiful at the same time. Odd to say that they are beautiful, but if you go there the shine of the silver is just so pretty. There's a certain appreciation to certain things in life ya know. Define Love: Putting the best interests of someone or something else above your own needs. Reflecting on Love in this aspect I have to say Revision brewery LOVES me. Is it in Revision's best interest to brew more IPA's than all their other types combined? Hell No!!! As good as they pack the hops into your suds YOU KNOW they'd kill it if they made a bunch of lager and red ales. But it's for us, the IPA lovers. This is your home away from home. For the people who have no top layer on your pallet because the hops have permanently scraped it off your tongue the love you will feel from this place will definitely be more "True" to you. The brewery has rooms you can enjoy their brew in and you can also pickup some to go in a growler or canned if your more in the mood for separated servings. The food trucks are super yum, and you know good food trucks know where the best beer is at so follow their lead. Make sure to free up the after hours because IPA is strong stuff and you will be laid out if your looking to test your mettle against it. I normally review for you, to give you a good idea of what to expect, but I have to end this review selfishly because I'm all about this place. You may NOT like it as much as me especially if your tongue is a lilly livered but I say just visit this spot to see what I love, and most important the first sip bites HARD the rest is heavenly. read more

Overall my favorite place to hang out and drink beer! It is a shocker to me that there are so many people in Reno/Sparks that haven't heard about this place! It is simply amazing! I attended Revisions 2nd anniversary circus rambler party. They had 2 bands perform, live aerial act and food trucks. All of that was pretty cool. The brewery it self is cool lots of games available to play and the staff is super friendly. Mike F the taproom manager was very attentive and truly made it a great experience. I am not a huge fan of IPAs so I was a little surprised at their on tap menu. They had 13 IPAs, 1 blonde and 3 stouts so if you really like IPAs there are plenty to try there. I tried the darkling stout it was tasty. The overall vibe was great and I am planning on going back when there isnt an event so hopefully can enjoy more. read more

Big fan of this beer, probably buy it more than any other at stores because of the endless rotating choices and abundance in stores. But we first came across this brewery at a beer festival and became big fans right away. Finally were able to go to the brewery. Very much reminds us of Bare Bottle in SF. We love Revision beer and have been here twice (we live about 40 minutes away). First time we came here was in the summer. They have an indoor space and an outdoor warehouse space. In the summer they had some artwork for sale hanging on the fence which we loved browsing, this time nothing hanging. They have games to play like pool, video games, pin ball, connect 4 and corn hole. A couple of games were out of order. This past summer I would have given this place a 5 unfortunately this time not. We went to the outdoor warehouse seating and the first thing we smelled was dogs, almost like wet dogs. First let me tell you, we love dogs but we counted 7 dogs in the seating area and it smelled. Since weather was cold the warehouse doors were closed keeping the smell in. I walked back inside and another dog was by the Revision items for sell. A couple was sitting there with their dog and it growled at my husband's friend who was looking at the shirts. We finished our beer and left. read more

With everything going on, it's so nice to be able to enjoy a brewery again! They have limited seating and it's pretty spread out. Even on a Saturday they weren't super busy, which was nice but hopefully more people will start visiting again! The beers are all delicious, and priced what you'd expect. We were driving all the way to Oregon from California and planned our stop specifically to visit this brewery. I mean dedicated fans right here! and we were not disappointed. The layout is soo chill, the picnic tables were awesome to just come and hang out with friends. The games to play so you aren't just sitting and drinking, and of course the beer! The variety they have, the samplers we got, just all were great. It was a great decision to come and stop by, probably good we don't live there, and can't wait to go back, until then, we are always buying Revision beer at the local stores and probably won't stop. Stopped here on a Saturday evening, place was somewhat busy, got lucky and found 1 empty parking spot right in front of the place. If the parking lot is filled up in front of the brewery, you can park right across the street, there's a strip mall type area there. The interior is spacious and is broken into 2 main sections. The first section (once you walk in) is the main dining area, consisting of the regular bar seating and some tables on the other side of the room. There are a couple TVs mounted on the wall to watch sports on, a jukebox, as well as 2 main TVs above the bar area that have pricing, and alcohol level of the beers available. The second dining area is to the right, and has another mini bar type area, more tables, TVs, and some party games. There's also an area further to the right where you can see their distillery and a giant Revision mural. The place was pretty busy when we were there, quite loud and kind of hot. I love IPA beer, and am happy to report there are ALOT here to choose from. I did the beer tasting, where you get four 5 OZ glasses for around $7, which I thought was a VERY fair price, especially since they all tasted fantastic. If this is your first time here, I recommend you do the beer tasting. If you're an IPA fan like myself, I recommend you get these 4 IPAs: What What, Contract Burn, Collective Gravity, Dr. Lupulin. Out of the four I got, I LOVED the Dr. Lupulin (Triple IPA). My ONLY negative here is that they don't serve any food, just drinks, which was kind of disappointing. I would have loved something as simple as just some fresh fries and a burger, or even just complimentary chips, crackers, or something along those lines. Some reviews mentioned you are allowed to bring food inside and eat, or order takeout from other places, but for someone traveling through the area, I would've loved just a one stop shop for great beer and food. Overall, this is a STRONG 4 in my book, the beer here really is great. I really wish their IPA selection was more accessible in Idaho, maybe this will improve in the future. I had a really good time here, and would consider this a MUST STOP if you're traveling through Sparks / Reno. I'll be stopping by once more before heading home. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to come here on our next trip to Reno and we were so glad we did! We came on a Sunday around 2pm and it was pretty empty, which was nice. We tried a bunch of different hazy IPAs and DIPAs as well and they were all soooo good! Workers were friendly and super helpful! Loaded up on growlers and 4-packs since they're so much more expensive at the liquor stores in Cali! The back area is huge with all types of games. If you love beer you have to check out this brewery! Their beer selection is impressive, with great options for everyone, whether you like IPAs, stouts, lagers or ciders and wine! The service was also very impressive! We were greeted right away with drink orders taken shortly after that. The guy who took our drink orders even checked on us to make sure we were doing okay. They also had a taco truck right outside when I went. I have only gone one time but I have heard they have rotating food trucks come, which is an awesome way to support other local food trucks! I was pleasantly surprised by how well they are incorporating safety precautions amongst covid. They require everyone to hand sanitize when walking in and they have their tables well spaced. Great selection of brews on tap. The staff is pretty familiar with their options. The place is very clean and spacious. We visited on a late Friday evening and the crowd was plentiful but not overpowering. The customers were very friendly. The space itself is pretty fun. There is a main seating area that has plenary of room. The interior space is plentiful for seating as well. Love the art work in spaces. The main area has a few wall of unique artwork plus two TVs for sports events mostly. The interior space was HUGE! They had space for more seating but the hand drawn artwork was wicked cool. As the hubby says "love the names they have for all of their brews". This was a recommendation that was most definitely worth the stop. Imagine my joy when my in-laws opened their new business right across the street from a brewery! I had bought (and enjoyed) some of Revison's brews from Lee's Discount Liquor but now I had a chance to go straight to the source. My wife and I went in around 5 pm on a weeknight and were immediately greeted by one of the bartenders. I was happy to see lots of seating both at the bar and several picnic tables both inside the tasting room and just through a door to the actual brewery. I ordered one of their hazy Northeast IPAs (which they had quite a few varieties of but I love them so I'm a happy camper), my wife ordered a glass of wine and we took our drinks out to the picnic tables. There are lots of games to play out there, from cornhole to Jenga to Connect Four and more. This is also a dog-friendly establishment which I would totally take advantage of if my dog were well-mannered enough to be in such a place ( guess I gotta work on that one). No food served on premises but they often have a food truck parked out front in the evenings and outside food is allowed inside. We both enjoyed our drinks and I even picked up a 4 pack of Sparkle Muffin (yes that's the actual name, complete with a white space cat on the label) to take home. I am super happy with my experience here. Husband and I started off 'date night' here. We love going to breweries, big beer lovers. I didn't realize all of their beers were IPA's (which aren't my favs) aside from the blonde (which was delicious). Our bartender was a sweet girl with short hair, we loved her! Super cool and fun environment, rad games, friendly locals, very pleased with this place. My husband isn't a huge IPA lover either, but very much enjoyed all of the beers. We have come back since it has opened and they have an amazing amount of beers on tap! I was so lost trying to figure out what to order, and the man at the counter steered me in the perfect direction! I did a flight. The Blonde NV, Xertz, Revision IPA, and the Revision double IPA. They were all really well balanced, but I'm also an IPA lover. There were beers on tap that were not IPAs and they also had wine for the winos our there. We went into the main area where you can see the beer being brewed and they had added a lot more games and picnic benches since they had first opened. They had board games, air hockey, corn hole, you name it. We played corn hole for the majority of the time we were there. While they do not serve food, you can always have it delivered to you there, which is a nice touch. They are also dog friendly if you want to take your pup with you. My oh my, this place has my hop senses tingling! If you like IPAs, then this is about to become your new favorite brewery in the Reno/Sparks area. I didn't count, but there must have been nearly 20 beers on tap... they had a blonde, a porter, and a stout, but the rest were IPAs and they were so juicy and delicious. I came with my brother and we stopped at a sandwich shop first so that we could have something to munch on while drinking since they don't offer food there. The building is massive, I couldn't believe the size of the production area. The tasting room is lovely with a nice sized bar and a few tables to sit at. Just at the bar they have little sheets to fill out if you want to get a flight of 4, which I'd recommend. Two flights came to ~15 bucks so the price was just right. The only thing I would have liked to see would have been a more comprehensive description of the beers rather than just the name and IBU. It would have been helpful in choosing among the sea of IPAs, but the bartender made some helpful recommendations. Great experience overall, though I definitely could have gone without the reggae music ;) looking forward to my next trip. read more

Atmosphere - When you enter the main door you enter a very clean white room that has a bar and picnic tables. You can see the cooler behind the bar. The cooler has the beer taps right there. Above the taps is the video menu board with their beers, tonight they had one guess tap. We ended up in the brewery side, which by nature of the business is very industrial. We wanted to hear the live music. It was a little warm in there but they brought in a mobile AC unit after a bit. Drinks - A flight of IPA beers for me tonight. The flight is a minimum of four, I ordered five. $1.75 a beer, that is a great deal. Service - The bartender was great and friendly. Jacob Green was playing in the brewery. For one man he can really put out the sound. Loved his blue grass funk he was playing. Future - IPA power house which is right up my alley so I will be back. read more
