I had a great experience. I got 2 sculpsure treatments via groupon. I tried getting it at another place in LA, but it didn't work out. This was a blessing in disguise because even just scheduling appointments, this place was so much better! They were super nice, and really tried to accommodate me. They knew I was driving pretty far, and were very mindful about when I should come in. I think the lady I spoke to was Kristie? On the actual day of my appointment, they called me to make sure my drive was ok. There was a fire on the freeway, so they were warning me about closures. Once I got there, Briana was the lady helping me. She was so sweet, and answered all my questions, and shared her experience with sculpsure. She always made sure I was comfortable and I was getting the max out of the treatment. Adjusting the levels when necessary. One bit of info I really appreciated knowing is that the higher the intensity doesn't necessarily mean it's working better, and she showed me a chart. Probably saved me from a lot of unnecessary pain just because I thought it would work better. haha She also did my first laser hair removal on my underarms, and it literally took about 2 minutes. I later found out her family might be evacuated because of the fire, but she was so calm, and didn't let it affect her professionalism at all (even if it would be totally understandable if it did) The doctor showed up for about 3 minutes, I thought it wasn't really necessary, as Briana was taking good care of me. I really am not one who usually leaves reviews, but I really felt good about this experience. My next appointment is in about 6 weeks, I hope the results are as good as the experience. read more

I was referred to Dr. Thaik by my physician last June after experiencing what turned out to be "a blood pressure spike" (vs. a heart attack). After Dr. Thaik confirmed my "spike" had done no lasting damage to my heart, she suggested it would be good for me to lose weight -- which I already knew. I'd tried diets before on my own, including the Food Lovers Fat Loss Program which I liked a lot, but they only worked while I stuck to them, which lasted only a few months each time. At age 63, my metabolism had clearly slowed post-menopause and I'd been taking blood pressure meds for over a year. Seeking to lower my blood pressure, ease my achy joints, and avoid the strokes my parents both suffered from in their later years, I decided to give the Revitalize U plan a try -- as long as it tasted good and worked. Fortunately, it was and it did and it continues to! I've been on Dr. Thaik's Revitalize U program since July and have lost over 50 lbs so far (my goal is to lose 60 and then maintain my weight at 135, and I'm almost there!). My blood pressure is consistently lower than it has been in decades and I have more energy than I've had in years. People tell me I'm glowing and those who know me are amazed at how much weight I've lost easily and how good I look and feel. I credit drinking more water and eating more protein for the shift! My body likes the Ideal Protein products, which are delicious and surprisingly filling. I was stunned at how my cravings for bread, cheese, fruit or sugar disappeared after less than a wee on the program, and I've been able to say no to those foods whenever they're around. The high protein, high veggie food plan is similar to the Paleo Diet, but I find having weekly "weigh-in" with nutritionist Brenda and seeing my progress in losing inches of fat makes all the difference. It may not as community based as Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig, but I like doing this type of dieting under my doctor's supervision. PS -- My husband started on the program Jan 1st to lose 30 lbs, and is nearly there alread -- in only 6 weeks! He gave up bread and fats and sugar, which were hard for him to do, but his energy has increased. Doing this program together will be easy for us to continue once we reach our goals. My hubby has been to going to Dr Theilk for years for his heart disease. She had suggested many times for him to lose weight,but he never went on a recommended diet. Recently in consultation with Dr. Thaik, she suggested that I try a program offered in her office called PROLON to help with my inflammation. I have significant arthritis in my hip and am facing hip replacement surgery in a few weeks. I was nervous as the program seemed strict and very little food. Surprisingly, I was shocked at how tasty the food was and that I was not hungry at all during the five day program. At the end of the 5 days I had lost 6.5 lbs, (4lbs of which were fat)! Just finished my first of two appointments for sculpsure (bought via groupon). The person running my appointment was not good. When he did my consult he had no idea what area I should target to get my desired shape. When I went in this time I requested someone else but it was him again. At this point I just guessed on my own where I should get it done. He marked me a couple times and neither were where I wanted to target. I took the forms myself to show him. He failed to inform me it could not be done the way I showed him (vertically), and marked me anyway. He attached the forms horizontally, had me lay down, made me get up because they totally moved, put them on again, had me lay down again. They moved again, but he tightened them into "place". When the procedure began I had to hold the heads on the machine in place. The entire time. Instead of doing one side at a time so he could hold them or so I could lay in a better position, I had to firmly hold them in place. My arm is so tired. And to top it all off when I stood up afterwards the areas where it was clear the heads had been weren't even in the spot I originally wanted and where he'd marked. So I paid to get sculpsure in an area adjacent to the actual area I wanted done. read more

Wow! The staff at this Burbank Medical Spa is so great. I'm a 50 year old male. I weight train 4-5 days per week and am in pretty good shape. The most difficult thing for me to lose is that belly area of fat. I came in yesterday for the SculpSure procedure. Dr. Thaik and the Nurse Practitioner Doddie did an excellent job of explaining the procedure, how it works and what to expect. They didn't oversell me on buying a package of procedures like some of the other places I looked into. Rather, they suggested I do it once, then evaluate the results, because that's all I may need. We can always do another one if I think I need it. They were very honest and reasonable. The RN Alice who performed the procedure was delightful to chat with and kept me comfortable during the procedure. I wouldn't call it painful, rather it was a discomfort that would come and go during the 25 minutes. But I could literally feel it heating the "fat" in the areas that were targeted. I'll do an update in 6 or 8 weeks with the result. For now, I couldn't be happier with my experience. read more

Never have I gone to a doctor's office and got a "guided meditation" to help calm me down. Well that's what happened to me on my first visit to Dr. Cynthia's office. First I was greeted by an excellent staff who welcomed me so warmly, it was like I had been a valued patient for years. I had been extremely stressed as of late, which affected my blood pressure . . . plus my EKG from my visit with my primary doctor was abnormal, which is why I was recommended to Dr. Cynthia. When she sat down with me to see how she could help, I broke down crying, and after seeking my permission, she guided me through a meditation that really worked. After taking a "stress test" which I passed, she invited me to come back to attend a "stress management" class; it was GREAT! Healing from a Holistically (mind, body and spirit) perspective, there was no doubt that i was in the right place. Teaching her patients to "know" their bodies and to do their part in sustaining and achieving optimal health, I knew that I was on my way to getting back to the Truth of who I am, Whole, Well, Perfect and Complete.
