(Afraid to draw attention to this place, as it's hard to find a cafe in Cambridge with ample parking AND seating!) I've been here twice and think it will become a part of the regular rotation. There's a good mix of breakfast and lunch items but I'm writing this review *specifically* for the black cap breakfast sandwich. OMG - it's the best I've ever had. The spicy aioli made it! I'm actually thinking about when I can order it again :) The owner(s) was also behind Cafe Crema in Harvard Square, so there's a big assortment of beverages for every taste (never heard of a red crema before). Came here in the weekend to start the weekend. It was busy with neighboring families. Staff was friendly and the parking is actually available in the weekend. Weekdays you will have to do street parking. I would say that's the only downside. Love the freshness of the breakfast items we got- breakfast burrito and quiche. So good, so fresh. Reasonable price and great ambience. I would recommend good seating for working and chill as there are good amount of seating and great natural lights. read more

Strongly recommend. Food is very good, unusual and creative combinations of fresh, quality ingredients that work well together (e.g., Crunchy Eggplant sandwich - excellent). Pretty generous portions for the price. Online menu means scrolling through 3 million often exotic beverage choices, a decent list of breakfast fare and pastries before getting to a very good but short menu of lunch sandwiches and salads. Here's the only correct current menu as of 9/29/20, available by scanning the QR code they display at the restauant: https://www.toasttab.com/revival-cafe-alewife/v3/ At this date this is the only way to order food for Pickup or Delivery, even if you are at the restaurant. As of 9/29/20, the website and Yelp menus are not correct and miss current items and list some not available now. I'm not sure who's writing the multiple star reviews... but I'm not seeing it. I have bought from there multiple times and I don't go there for the quality... it's the convenience. Trust me it's costly, you'll spend upwards of $15 for a basic flavorless sandwich and a small pastry. This place has friendly staff, but is overpriced and under delivers on quality of product. Cute, spacious cafe with a variety of food and drink options. I've only had their kimchi bowl and the ginger steamer, so I can't speak to how the coffee or the rest of the food menu tastes. My kimchi bowl was a large portion of food, so I thought the price point was reasonable (about $9, I believe?). The ginger steamer can be made a bit inconsistently. The first time I had it, it was SUPER spicy and had no sweetness at all. This is also coming from someone who loves the taste of ginger and does not like overly sweetened drinks. The 2nd time I ordered it, it was a lot more balanced with the flavors. Maybe I'll have to let them know next time how I like it! There's a lot of seating and natural light, so I love to come here when I'm trying to get work done or do some reading. Not surprisingly, the line definitely starts getting long around noon, but the service and staff are very friendly and do their best to hustle. If you're looking for absolute peace and quiet, probably not the best place though. Great little cafe near the Alewife T station. About 3 minutes walk from the station with ample free parking on the weekends (look for the sign). Very cute space with lots of natural light. Great for having coffee and food, reading, or getting some work done (free wifi). I've tried the drip coffee, iced coffee, and iced latte- all tasty and strong. I tried the veggie quiche here and was shocked by how good it was. Really great flavors and it came with greens and this delicious spicy yogurt. The owner was extremely pleasant and all the employees I have met so far are welcoming, efficient, and polite. Looking forward to trying more of their interesting drinks, delicious looking pastries, and other food. read more

This place just opened and I had a delicious brisket pimento grilled cheese for lunch. The cheese was gooey and the whole thing was very satisfying with a small side of greens. To top it off I had the house seltzer (orange-lime today). This is a great addition to the neighborhood, with a fun, colorful ambiance; I look forward to more lunches here. read more

5 stars! 1 for taste, 1 for ambiance, 1 for service, 1 for menu innovation, and 1 for value! My two good college friends and I came here one Saturday afternoon sweaty and starving after a killer workout class, and was pleasantly surprised to find not only free and plentiful parking, but a nice, cozy but well laid-out space inside, buzzing with people but not so crazy you couldn't find space to sit. We ordered 4 things to share: the kale salad, the magic melt, the black cap breakfast sammie, and the tuna salad sammie. Everything was great! My favorite was the black cap -- super rich Italian deli slices (capocollo?) atop a ridiculously fluffy, square (!) egg between two slices of rich bread. The tuna salad sammie was surprisingly yummy as well -- the radish brought an unforeseen freshness to the sammie that was both excellent and unexpected for something so pedestrian as tuna salad. The magic melt was meaty and rich, with amazing brioche bread. And the kale salad -- while our "least" favorite of the four things, was fresh, light, and still tasty, with the toasted nuts bringing a nice texture and sweetness. They serve George Howell coffee (so it's good). My cortado was solid -- dark and rich, and my friends seemed pleased with their drinks as well. Service was quick! We got all our food within 7 minutes easy. And value was great as well. We paid $16 each (so the bill was $48 total) for 4 things and 3 fancy drinks, so not bad at all! read more

My friend who came afterwards mentioned the same thing so we left. I live nearby and have tried nearly everything on the menu. Any of the heated sandwiches come out saturated in grease, and it's super easy to spend $40-50 on mediocre food for two people. Really enjoyed breakfast at Revival. I got brewed coffee with the greek yogurt bowl, and my partner got an almond milk latte and quiche. Both dishes were great and the coffee/espresso is solid. There's a lot of space to spread out, various seating options, and everything is clean and comfortable. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of how the space was designed. It's lively without being overwhelming or cluttered, with nice natural light. It's big enough that there are quieter areas for having a quick meeting or reading the news. This was a delightful surprise. I was meeting a friend and we wanted something "low-key" and this was the perfect solution. I got chicken Gyro wrap with roasted vegetables and it was delicious! My friend's Greek chicken salad was also good. Our only disappointment is that they are only doing takeout.
