Everything at Revival was excellent, the food, the service, and the staff all exceeded our already high expectations. Their burgers, salads, and sandwiches were huge, delicious, and very reasonably priced for the size, you could easily split a meal and still be satisfied. Also, their pesto aioli is addictive. This is a very cool spot with laidback atmosphere. There was no wait even though it was right at lunchtime. We were greeted immediately and felt welcomed. Many items on the menu had fun names with bible references, which makes sense given the buildings history as an old church. There were lots of delicious sounding options on the menu. Ultimately my husband and I love burgers and both chose The Golden Cow we were not disappointed. We also ordered a beer and a Prosecco which were both on tap. All the ingredients are sourced in Texas and you can tell how fresh everything is. The Golden Calf burger is a beef patty with caramelized balsamic onions, whipped herb goat cheese, lemon garlic aioli, and arugula on a brioche bun. I was hesitant with the goat cheese and lemon garlic aioli combo, but it all worked well together. Well balanced and super juicy. I paired it with a side of sweet potato fries which were the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and nicely cooked through inside. Service was fantastic as well. Small heads up that the parking situation is mostly street parking where you would need to parallel park. There was a small parking lot relatively close by as well. But the food...just B- to C food. Nothing stood out, and frankly didnt finish the fries (soft and a bit oily). Waitperson recommended the burger, so did a build my own, and it was just OK...a burger. Meat was not flavorful, and the pattie was cooked to smaller than bun. Cant say I would recommend or visit again, but for Waco its obviously a place people enjoy in an area of trendy-to-be urban revitalization, and maybe I just expected too much.
