smallish place in downtown concord, nice out side seating area, service and personnel very pleasant and accommodating, very interesting menu and local drinks, drinks were very good and as ordered, the lobster poutine was very good and different, the fishery meal was sort of a bouillabaisse that was really lacking in fish, the chicken cordon bleu was tasty but lacking in ham and cheese and the risotto was very good but the brussels sprouts were over toasted.....interesting place, looking at the other reviews we just chose wrong perhaps. read more

All I can say is fantastic! I was on travel and brought a group of 6 of us for dinner here. We had many food allergies in the group and they were able to handle the requests. The staff was friendly and attentive. This restaurant is farm to table and has a very foodie friendly menu. Presentation of food was beautiful but better yet everything we had was delicious! My wife found this place (using Yelp) and my family dined here on an early Saturday evening. The restaurant itself is situated in an old brick building and the decor is nice (copper table tops) but nothing to write home about. The focus is on the food. And it's amazing. I'm not exaggerating or using hyperbole. It's amazing. We had the soup of the day (white fish chowder), mussels in bacon and cider broth (a special of the day), and lemon gnocchi for starters. The mussels were well seasoned with the bacon and cider adding an excellent balance to the briny taste. The gnocchi (pan seared) was cooked to pillowy perfection, and the chowder was creamy and delicious. For entrees, we had the peanut crusted beef, sea scallops and halibut as the fish of the day. The taste of the beef had an eastern flair and was both delicious and unique. And, even though we were stuffed to the gills, we ordered macaroons (of the day), brown butter carrot coke and the chocolate terrine for desert. All the the deserts were sublime with the carrot cake being a true showcase display worthy of a magazine cover. This was easily one of the best meals of the year and definitely in the running for my life. Any criticism would be nitpicking and would not bring any single dish below a spectacular rating. Our first time to revival kitchen & Bar was great. We decided to go some place nice for my wife's birthday and found this little spot located just off of Main St. We made reservations for 4pm and were the first ones there. After being seated and ordering drinks we decided to check out the menu. The first thing we noticed was the grilled/marinated octopus (see picture) and wanted to try something new. It came out quickly and tasted delicious! For the main course I had the scallops over a chorizo rice and my wife had the flank steak with scalloped potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts. Both were very good. Overall it was a nice (and expensive) birthday dinner. I would recommend this place for a special occasion and not just a place to eat out on the weekend. read more

Had a 7:15 reservation tonight and after waiting for 30 minutes for the table, we were seated only to wait another 45 minutes after ordering for our drinks, which never came. Clueless waitress and dysfunctional bar tender are to blame for this unprofessional display of how not to treat a customer. We finally got up and walked out, after expressing how totally disappointed we were, where we overheard the waitress blame the bar tender saying that she wouldn't make her the drinks. In fairness we have had very enjoyable dinners here in the past. Tonight's experience should never have happened period. read more

We've only lived in Concord for about 6 weeks but we've been there several times. We've never had a meal we didn't enjoy thoroughly. We both very much appreciate the farm-to-table theme without outrageous prices. We always sit at the bar. It's enjoyable to watch through the window into the kitchen where it's very busy clean and organized. I've also noticed that the owner of this establishment is the head chef and he's a clever young man. The bartender is very friendly, knowledgeable and also has a very good command of the menu. They don't seem to mind little changes in the plates that we've ordered and always keep the rolls and delicious cabbot butter coming. So far these are the best burgers that we found in town. They feature a sweet bacon relish which really helps to bring out the flavor of the grass-fed beef. It can be very difficult to get properly grass-fed beef at a restaurant and they seem to have figured this out quite nicely. We've also had the fish at this restaurant and was definitely prepared properly. There is a lot of injunuity that has gone into their appetizers so don't overlook them. And don't forget the creme brulee!! read more

Chef Corey Fletcher and his amazing staff not only delivered an impeccable dinner experience for our 32 guests, but their attention to detail and professionalism was second to none! We visited and communicated with several other options for this event months in advance to better understand both the environment and financial portion of the event. Preliminary meetings and most importantly the experience of that day, at their beautiful location confirmed without a doubt, that we made the right decision! I can't wait to visit them again sometime in the future for what will surly produce another outstanding and memorable dinner experience. First experience dining indoors since March and the staff at Revival made the experience safe, extremely pleasant, and comfortable. The food was excellent. We shared the lobster poutine, spring risotto, and green salad with sea scallops (perfectly cooked scallops). Had a special cocktail (basically an old fashioned but with strawberries, Jim Beam, lemon verbena simple, and cherry bitters. Excellent.) Everything was really delicious and I would go back again. I had high hopes for my birthday dinner. Friends have visited the place and raved about it so I was excited to finally enjoy the well executed menu, rich in seafood, complex sauces and creative execution. We ordered the lobster poutine and octopus as appetizers. The lobster part of the poutine was impeccable, the fries were limp and the sauce was absent. All that was left was a dry, salty cheese, not melting, distant from what a poutine should be all about. The octopus app was disappointing since it included a perfectly cooked 2 oz of meat with charred tail, well below any chef should serve as an app. I ordered the bouillabaisse which was excessively salty and served with a single piece of bread and emulsified mayonnaise that does not meet the standards of authentic rouille. My hubby ordered the salmon which was delicious but devoid of the butter sauce which the menu described it should be accompanied by. I was told it was the chef's day off. When I made the reservation, I was asked if we were celebrating a special event, it was my birthday. I witnessed elaborate desserts served at tables surrounding us for birthday celebrations. Sadly, we were offered a monastic sorbet to compensate for my mention of the overly salty bouillabaisse. Service was impeccable. Bill/William is one of a kind. He made the evening memorable. Disappointing. The food was very heavy salted and buttered. Small meat portions- at least for the salmon and pollock. The pork loin looked like an adequate size. The hamburger casserole was delicious however due to amount of butter and cream. My asparagus and mushrooms were drenched in butter. I expected a known farm to table place to let the food shine. Admittedly, it was our fault. We heard the words cold potato and leak soup. The word cold went in one ear and out the other. I wasn't able to finish my soup. Why was it cold?! It's not borscht! It was a rainy day what would of hit the spot was hot flavorful soup. We weren't mad about it we told the waiter it was our fault. Still, I do wish he would of been able to heat it up for us. My meal of the sea scallops were to die for. Loved it. My husband got the pork. The pork didn't have any djoin flavor to it but the meal under it was the star of the show. First time diner. The experience was excellent right from the start. The waiter was the most professional server I have had the pleasure of working with in years. Complete knowledge of the menu and personable. The food was excellent. Portions are modest but with flavor like this who cares. I had a house salad and the seafood special. They were both perfectly balanced and most importantly they made me savor every bite. This is more of a dining experience than the typical buffet mentality that permeates so many restaurants today. I loved everything about this restaurant from the rustic-chic vibe, to the attentive staff, and of course to the delicious food. My husband and I ordered the gnocchi appetizer which was very good but what really impressed me was my entree. I ordered the Grilled Pork Porterhouse and was so pleased that it was tender, had a delicious glaze, and had very tasty greens and a sweet potato puree to go with it. I came here with my dad last minute on a Saturday night and lucky we could get a table around 8:15pm. We ordered the house salad, rabbit, beef raviolo, butternut squash gnocchi, oatmeal cobbler, and the creme brûlée. Every last bit of each dish was amazing. My favorite was the squash gnocchi. My daughter and I took my parents here as our Christmas gift to them, this month. From the moment we arrived, I felt very unwelcome, and actually as if I was a bother to the hostess. Showed up at exactly the time of our reservation and was curtly asked if we had a reservation, no smile. Was then told it would be a few minutes. The "hostess" actually seemed to be annoyed! When our waitress came to the table, she was obviously bothered by the fact that nobody ordered alcohol, and then proceeded to upsell my daughter and my mother, some valentine Mocktail. Which neither of them even enjoyed. The $16 beet bruschetta "small plate"was also tiny... Justnot the welcoming, feeling across-the-board the entire time we were there. As a business owner myself, I know that people have choices and can go other places. The experience you provide to someone should be exceptional and memorable, or they may not return. I have eaten here a few times, never been overly impressed. For the price tag the atmosphere and friendliness were REALLY lacking. Definitely won't be visiting this establishment anytime soon or possibly ever again. We called 2 weeks prior to make a reservation. They asked if it was a special occasion and it was - 4 birthdays. We were excited to only be EXTREMELY disappointed with the service; our waiter acted like we were not welcome ... had to track him down for drinks... did not come to check in to see if our food was good. Good thing he didn't because we would tell him that 1, the "clam chowder" should be renamed to potato chowder because there was zero clams in it. 2, the pork had NO seasoning and 3, the chicken had an overpowering burnt taste. The entire time, our waiter was rude and we all asked each other if we had done something. This is not a feeling you should have at any restaurant, never mind one with a total bill of $350. By the time he came by with a dessert menu, we just wanted to leave. Not to mention, one of the waitresses broke a glass carafe and looked at it and walked away and continued to ignore cleaning it up. After watching people step on glass shards I flagged someone down to clean it up. This place is disappointing - I'm sad to say it , and the owner should feel terrible about our experience. read more

Wants to hear himself talk and thinks he is a New York sommelier (big fish, little pond). Our group was discussing what bottle of red wine we wanted and he kept butting in to give his opinions even after we told him that we were fine. I tried to tell him that we had already chosen our wine and he rudely and forcefully said 'Im talking here"! Wow!
