You have the option of choosing between an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) menu or ordering à la carte. I'd definitely recommend the AYCE experience. We went for the dinner AYCE at $29.99 per person, and kids under 3 eat free. Our toddler (3) and baby, free of costs. But our toddler did have his own meal (chicken nuggies and fries...what a plus!) Keep in mind that some items are included in the per-person price, while others come with an additional charge. For example, the fried ice cream dessert was $1 per serving on top of the AYCE cost. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Now, onto the revolving sushi belt experience. The bottom belt is full of pre-made sushi, circulating around, while the top belt carries the sushi you've specifically ordered via iPad. This is where a few concerns come in. Since the pre-made sushi is constantly circulating, you don't always know if someone has fiddled with it. As for the iPad ordering system, it was placed up above the top sushi belt, which was a bit of a nuisance. It would have been easier to use if it was within arm's reach, but again, not a major issue. We opted to order items that would take time to prepare and came directly to our table, so we could avoid the pre-made conveyor. The fried ice cream dessert was great, tasty--but the spoon they gave me was dirty and sticky. It honestly felt like it had been used by a kid before being handed to me. Really good sign with so many Japanese and other asians in the place. Took about 20 minute wait on a Saturday night. We were seated as the first booth out in the belt. We finally got a menu and she just tells us all you can eat 29.99 and we say ok but we notice other stuff coming to other peoples booth. Then we started playing around with the screen and figured out there was a full other menu. Since it was our first time we thought we would do the AYCE. Rolls were delicious and unique but be prepared there is a lot of rice. To help fill you up. Everything we tried were good and a few meh ones. But you gotta try to eat them. There's an average amount of rice underneath each piece, which is understandable for AYCE places. The rice was prepared pretty well and chewy. You can also order from the tablet at your table. Ordered foods arrive on a bullet train above the sushi conveyer belt. I enjoyed the following: - Salmon w/ Roe - Yellowtail - Salmon Miso - Squid - Eel If you get the lunch ayce, you get discounts on udon and ramen (~$2.50 each) whereas all day ayce includes these items. Our server would pick up our empty plates frequently so it's not piling up for long. Sound level is average, booth separation gives some privacy between parties. Visited here for the first time on Sunday afternoon around 2 o'clock. The place was pretty busy, but food was coming out pretty consistently. You can choose to pay by the plate or all you can eat. We chose pay by the plate. We had a good selection of sushi items on the belt and we were able to order on the screen as well. Staff is very attentive and our water stayed full the whole time. When we ordered our food, it came pretty fast except for one roll however, everything seemed very fresh and tasted very good. They do take your plates away for you throughout your time eating however you do keep your lids for counting at the end of your meal. 14 to 15 plates for us was $61. I wanted to try these type of Sushi restaurant for a very long time and I am so glad my first experience was at Revolving Sushi vs other similar places because the bar is now set high! We came in for lunch on a Saturday and they were already pretty busy so plan accordingly! I must say that even though they were busy they did a great job with keeping the line stocked at all times! The quality of the rolls are great! Everything feels really fresh and taste good. I feel like other places around have more variety but I will take quality over variety any time. Appetizers and bigger dishes are different prices but worth trying IMO. We loved the Takoyaki! Something I didn't like is that they don't have a place to send away your used plates, you have to keep them in the table to be counted by the waitress when you're done which was kinda annoying but not a big deal I guess. All in all the place is super clean, service is fast and friendly. Quality is great aaaand it is still cheaper than other places around so I definitely recommend coming here! Parking is a little hit and miss depending what day you go since they share parking with two other pretty popular establishments. They do have valet so that's also an option. Upon going inside it is clean and hosts are friendly. Being our first time there our waitress explained the more important things to us but we had to figure out the rest ourselves. I do wish they had a trash bin or pocket at the table because the table was cluttered with wrappers and plates and for some reason our waitress was only taking plates and nothing else.. till we asked her to. My boys' thoroughly enjoyed the experience from choosing their own sushi and being catered to by a robot they loved every moment. For us adults it was as expected. Price point isn't too bad with sushi starting at $3 a plate, but isn't the best quality wise. Think grocery store sushi at $1-2 a piece =\ Ordered two types of ramen as well to try and that was also lacking. Go for the experience. Not for the food if you have high expectations. What a great experience! We visited this restaurant during our visit to Atlanta and it was super entertaining to eat there! You can easily spend over an hour by waiting for food to come - so be prepared because the belt is loong:) We ordered miso soup and water through the tablet on the table and while waiting for those, we each grabbed our choice of sushi. Each tray comes with 2-3 sushis and there were many options to choose! It was super fun! We also ordered fried ice cream as a dessert and it was a bug portion enough for two. Came here to introduce revolving sushi to my husband's family, and it is now my go-to sushi spot! The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and modern. The revolving belt is magnetic, so it was much easier to use than the pop-up version at Kura for example. You can pull the plate off the magnetic station and the top comes off easily. It's true that the plates stack up quickly but our waitress did a great job clearing them. The food itself was high quality and fresh, I felt that the menu was diverse and had something for everyone. If you do AYCE, they offer sashimi for $1 extra per plate, so that is a nice touch. I'd say this place is worth coming back to for the $29.99 AYCE price! The wait staff was also very attentive and did their best to accommodate a large party, and at the end you get a coin per every $50 spent to use in the gachapon machine. A group of 5 of us came in on a Sunday afternoon wanting to support a local revolving sushi than to support a big company like Kura. Sushi factory have 2 options for you AYCE or a la carte. We asked the servers in front if we can be seated first before deciding the options to evaluate the portion size. Regardless of what we pick, we are planning to stay to dine. One of the server informed us that she is fine with that and was getting ready to sit us. A woman in a black hoodie came up, aggressively told us to hurry up and make a decision of which options, because there are another group behind us that they can sit at the last big table. Let it be known, we were standing there for no less than 20 seconds and are still going to sit down and eat. We decided not to let this rude interaction to detour our appetite/mood and chose the unlimited. Let's discuss the food. For the unlimited options, it was unlimited items on the revolving belt, appetizers, salads, don, ramen, udon, hand rolls, and nigiri. Sashimi and desserts are an extra $1 per order. It was around $30 per person(without tax). Fish to rice ratio for the nigiri was off by 3 times. The rice was more than the fish. We tried almost all the nigiri. We all agreed the food quality is very mediocre and inconsistent. It tasted like the type of sushi you would get at a Chinese buffet with sushi options. The sushi rice was bland. We were getting flavor tired because everything started to taste the same. We do have some highlights: the seared salmon with spicy mayo, squid nigiri, and the salmon/tuna tartar. Like we said, the quality was very inconsistent. Some of the seared salmon wasn't seared at all and some were delicious. I had one squid nigiri that was very rubbery. The salmon on the nigiri was more dry, but the salmon in the salmon/avocado roll was better. My friend got the salmon sashimi, which was more pink than orange, and it tastes unappetizing. The cherry on top for us is that for $30 AYCE and the pineapple dessert is basically can pineapple. At the point, we will pay the $1 for fresh pineapple. As for hot food, we only got the dumpling(which was good) and the miso soup(which was very powdery. The ambience is cute. It was tall ceiling with tinkling lights and about 3 rows of the revolving sushi belts, with about 6-7 booths on each side of the booths, which are deep and clean. The waiting area has a small bench that can fit 4-5 people if there is a waitlist. On to the service, the restaurant was half packed when we came in around 3:30pm. Once we sat down, the sushi belt was 80% empty, so we started ordering through the kiosk. Our server, Amy, was super sweet, attentive, and professional. She was one of the servers in the front who witnessed the interaction and was fine with us sitting down first. She was the redeeming factor about this place. Sigh, I am uncomfortable giving 1 review to local places, because everyone is struggling in this economy. Our experiences weren't great. Turn out, the woman in the black hoodie is the manager, Lin. No, supporting customers deserve to be greeted with unfavorable and nasty attitude, especially from someone who is supposed to remain professional and treat your customers with some courtesy at least.
