It was my 1st time at Sushi Kingdom in Buford, GA with one of my best friends. The service was pretty good. Our server was ok. She did come back to check on us here and there. The ambiance was pretty good. Nothing too special. The interior was nice. The all you can eat menu for $28.99 for dinner was not bad. All the sushi was very good and tasted fresh. I give Sushi Kingdom and 8/10. I will def go back when I get a chance.

We came for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. We just missed the lunch crowd and the mall crowd. We were immediately greeted and seated and had our drink and first round of orders taken immediately. We received one appetizer but not the other and it was quickly corrected. Everything was so delicious, hot when it was supposed to be, and fresh! We loved it so much and we will definitely be back. The building is much bigger than it looks on the outside and is beautiful inside, with nice lighting, music playing but not too loud, and plenty of seating. We have been to several sushi places around the area (Gwinnett, Jackson/Banks, Athens-Clarke Counties) and this was our favorite so far! The weekend/dinner price is $28.99 for all you can eat and includes the hibachi, rice, ramen, and desserts along with appetizers and sushi rolls.

My group and I went during their grand opening week, so my overall experience won't be the most accurate to their normal function routine once the grand opening hype dies down (so keep that in mind). We waited nearly an hour to be seated because we were told there weren't any seats that could accommodate 5 people. So we watched as several other parties got seated before us despite coming in after us. Though as I was walking to be seated, I recognized some parties, so it seems like my party was forgotten until they realized. Regarding the remarks about the smell, it is true that there is a very pungent smell, though I mainly recognized it to be fish (but c'mon, you're in a sushi restaurant). The rolls were okay! The Monster roll was my party's favorite. Nothing really stood out to us, but it was great that they had plenty of different options to choose from. The non-sushi options were also just okay. A statement I believe is relatable for most buffets is there are a lot of options to choose from, but they're mostly mediocre. Sushi Kingdom is no exception to this. I will say though, with the 20% grand opening discount, it was worth every penny (around $16, I believe?) but I don't think I would come back again.

Tomorrow is their ribbon cutting ceremony so we happened to go during their soft opening. This means service was slow, but the staff were nice about it. The inside looks exactly how the pictures the owner put on here- lots of seating, nice decorations, quite calming. Food was delicious! Tempura came out hot and fresh. Avocados were soft. Gyoza had nice wrapper texture. The appetizers were amazing and I was sad to only get 2 pieces because of how good they were. Here's wishing them a good grand opening!

We had a fantastic experience here. The authentic vibe sets the perfect mood right as you walk in. Every dish tasted fresh and high-quality, and our server was atteniveand welcoming. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Fresh food, affordable pricing and great customer services! Will definitely come back!!!

You have the option of choosing between an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) menu or ordering à la carte. I'd…read moredefinitely recommend the AYCE experience. We went for the dinner AYCE at $29.99 per person, and kids under 3 eat free. Our toddler (3) and baby, free of costs. But our toddler did have his own meal (chicken nuggies and fries...what a plus!) Keep in mind that some items are included in the per-person price, while others come with an additional charge. For example, the fried ice cream dessert was $1 per serving on top of the AYCE cost. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Now, onto the revolving sushi belt experience. The bottom belt is full of pre-made sushi, circulating around, while the top belt carries the sushi you've specifically ordered via iPad. This is where a few concerns come in. Since the pre-made sushi is constantly circulating, you don't always know if someone has fiddled with it. As for the iPad ordering system, it was placed up above the top sushi belt, which was a bit of a nuisance. It would have been easier to use if it was within arm's reach, but again, not a major issue. We opted to order items that would take time to prepare and came directly to our table, so we could avoid the pre-made conveyor. The fried ice cream dessert was great, tasty--but the spoon they gave me was dirty and sticky. It honestly felt like it had been used by a kid before being handed to me. Needless to say, I didn't use it. Service was solid. Our server was helpful, especially since it was our first time, and walked us through the process. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there are a few things that could be improved, particularly with cleanliness and the setup of the revolving belts.

We finally checked out Arita Ramen & Sushi and here's everything we tried Salmon Flight (recommend ) 6 pieces of salmon nigiri with evenly thick cuts and beautiful marbling. The texture was incredibly fresh, buttery, and had that rich, creamy finish. Sushi Guoba (recommend) Not on the menu, special. I expected something crispy, but it's actually more like a soft rice cake texture (not chewy). Topped with avocado + spicy tuna, super unique. Beef Shank Ramen Comes with 4 thick cuts of tender marinated beef shank in a rich bone broth. Flavorful and comforting, but I did notice a slightly sweet aftertaste, found it to be weird. BOGO Sushi Deal Rocky Shrimp was our favorite. The eel roll wasn't really for us. Chicken Hibachi Solid and the yum yum sauce was extra thick (which we loved). Yuzu Sake (recommend) Light, citrusy, and super refreshing , highly recommend if you like fruity drinks.

We got a bunch of things including the hibachi (steak and shrimp), Tomiyama chicken, pad Thai, and spring rolls. While everything was just mid, I have to call out the pad Thai and spring rolls. The hibachi chef was also very nice and did a great job with the "show". I have to say - the place was not clean either. I know it was probably busier than usual due to Eid, but everything was a little dirty - from dishes to the table to the thing you get your check in, they all had something gross on it. We were able to flag the staff down at some point to clean the table and dishes, but it still felt gross. Super disappointing experience. During my short time in the Buford area, I've come to this place twice in the last two days. The food brought me back as well as proximity to our hotel, however if I were local, the service would drive me away. The type of staff that seems more, interested in hanging out and talking with each other than actually serving the customers. First day I was here. I got the bulgogi Omurice dish and it was tasty. I expected the omelette actually cover the entire portion of rice (top and bottom like an omelette which it didn't. Nevertheless, served piping hot in the stone dish and the flavors were good and not overpowering, and the portion was large. A decent value. The second day, after learning a lesson from the previous one, my wife and I split the Bulgogi fried rice dish (which she had gotten the day before.) Again, the flavors did not disappoint. The rub came when my cousin and I, who have two Independent families and who paid separately, were bulked together as one large group so that a mandatory service fee could be tacked on. When I asked, they said the computer made them charge the service fee. This is in addition to having the system prompt for a tip in addition. The ironic part is that we weren't even standing next to each other in line. Then if you are going to charge a service fee, we would expect to have some solid service that is pretty prompt. Small things such as being able to get water when and as soon as you sit down (perhaps they were busy?), as well as having the sufficient amount of silverware (perhaps they just miscounted?) and actually people smile when they're helping you (perhaps it was the end of the day and they were tired?). Lots of hypotheticals. Just a higher expectation of service, especially when being subject to this service fee. Nevertheless, the family enjoyed the food. We are in and out and about 45 minutes and I'm leaving town today so it doesn't really matter but if you're looking for great service, this isn't the place for you but if you just need a quick bite to pick up and take back to your home or hotel,, go for it.
