We came for my mom's birthday lunch today. The service was pretty good. When we walked in the server came right away. The food was very fresh and was delicious. The ambiance was pretty cool. We've been here a few times for lunch on my mom's, dad's and my birthday every year. The food is always good. But the service is ok here. Nothing special. My parents and I go back every year because the food never disappoints.

If you're like me and wondered how fresh sashimi can be so cheap for a lunch special... it is because the fish is cut to be PAPER THIN So good job on their part, saving cost by slicing it to where its almost transparent. Other than that the food overall was really good! I think the lunch special is still worth it. You get filled with the other course meals. The spicy seafood soup they give you at the end is delicious as well. I'm not sure how their dinner portions will be but I think for the lunch special I would recommend this place. Make sure you make a reservation before you come. They save your table for you. They have lots of seating that is isolated from the rest of the restaurant. I know a lot of the reviews say that the service is bad and I can kind of see why.

    Sashimi deluxe

There's a few similar restaurants like Misong in Duluth like Sing Sing Sushi and Doshi. Walking in, they weren't busy and were able to be sat immediately. They were trying to seat me and my mom with some older men, so had asked for a different table. Once sat, we ordered the sashimi deluxe. It came with some side dishes, a variety of sashimi, tempura, spicy stew, and some other dishes. Service was mid... didn't refill my water till I asked, some of the side dishes weren't as fresh as the other places, and the portions were smaller than others. Not sure if I'd come back, but it's definitely worth a try to have your own opinion.

-sushi dupbap had like 4 pieces of sushi -the side of soup that came with it had rice particles in it?? Looks like they reused the soup -wasn't expecting a free meal or anything but the waitress didn't even bring us the check we had to go up to the counter and pay -ill admit that getting donkatsu at a sushi place isn't the best move but it was so oily and gamey -this is the second chance I have them and the lady at the front desk is always so rude -miso soup that came with it was also incredibly salty -service was also slow and they weren't busy at the time -will NOT be returning and would definitely not recommend -절대 가지 마세요. 진짜 맛 없었어요.

great sushi for great prices! the fish to rice ratio is great, and the varioud lunch combos are very good bang for your buck

Sushi Misong was somewhat impressing with their delightful and complimentary appetizers, setting a high standard right from the beginning of the meal. Their sushi and sashimi lunch combo is a standout, offering a nice selection of fresh, flavorful pieces that showcase the chef's choice. The inclusion of udon with the lunch combo adds a comforting, warm element to the meal. Service was decent. Saw our server a total of three times and that was to get us seated, deliver apps, & deliver our lunches. Spacing of the seats were fine; however, there was a strange smell coming from our corner for whatever reason. Couldn't tell if I disliked it or not. Overall, Sushi Misong delivers somewhat of a satisfying and well-rounded lunch experience.

genuinely delicious with insanely good service! my boyfriend and i are visiting from nashville but originally from new york and new jersey... this blows so many sushi restaurants out of the water!! the food is AMAZING, no notes. see for yourself. it was so good after a long car ride here, and the level of freshness is pretty comparable to living on the coast. we came back from korea recently and there are very few restaurants that can keep up with the korean service standard.. but sushi misong is that standard. i wish i could take this restaurant with me back to Nashville. overall, amazing! thanks for being our first stop in duluth :)

I dropped by for lunch after grocery shopping at GW supermarket, located in the same plaza. Just looking for a quick bite to eat, I did not expect such a nice restaurant. It's a Korean owned Japanese restaurant- so expect Japanese style bento boxes and sashimi/sushi combos served with Korean banchan. There are private eating rooms with buzzers to let waitresses know when you are ready for their attention. The lunch menu is INCREDIBLY high value. We had delicious bento boxes (loved the sushi and tempura) for $16 which come with banchan, a large steamed egg, and complimentary porridge. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for delicious and reasonably priced food with nice atmosphere and service.

    Raw Fish and Seafood (medium)

This is definitely a sushi place in Duluth that I'll be revisiting. I ordered the raw fish and seafood special which is kind of like a Korean style sushi where it comes with a ton of side dishes, rice, and soup. My mom and I ordered the medium size because we were told it would feed two and WOW the portions were huge. We absolutely loved that there was so much raw fish and we left completely full. Service was pretty slow - we had to call the bell a few times to get our waters refilled, but granted, it was Christmas Eve so the restaurant was pretty busy s

My new favorite spot in Atlanta! The sheer abundance and quality of the fish is otherworldly. Highly recommend this spot for all avid sushi/sashimi lovers and anyone looking for a special night out. Mirong offers private rooms that individualize your experience as well! The servers explained the menu very well and each dish as they came out as well. Can't wait to go back!

Tried out this place for lunch and ordered Misong B course meal. It's a lot of food! Service was fast - they brought a tray of food after we finished the warm porridge - sashimi, sushi, tempura, California roll, and side dishes. Then came the roe rice and udon. Last dish was the grilled mackerel. Sashimi, sushi, udon, and grilled mackerel were tasty and the side dishes were pretty good especially the radish kimchi. Ate so much, didn't even have to eat dinner... saved room for beer and soju As you enter, you see a "smart disinfection gate" https://www.smartcgate.com/scggrouphomepage The staff were wearing masks and a bottle of hand sanitizer at our table.

Popped in here with my parents today. This is a place that is literally hidden in one of the corners of an old strip mall off Pleasant Hill near Satellite Rd. Without being told what and where to go I'd never have found it. We showed up at 2, I was pleased to see this place was open daily from 11:30-midnight. I know we were after lunch rush so we got seated in one of the private rooms immediately and ordered sushi and sashimi combo b, a pork tonkatsu combo meal, and a few other things my parents enjoy, like mackerel. So many options! I basically have never seen sushi cuts so large, not unless you're paying 4x as much at Morimoto. This restaurant is Korean owned and operated, so I am obviously a little biased but the server was super helpful and on point. Lots of food but we were hungry. We had leftovers, should be ok. They provided banchon (traditional Korean side dishes usually given at Korean BBQ and other restaurants) and they were all very good also. I took a bunch of photos so you can see how nicely prepared some of the sashimi was. Sushi was smaller cuts but larger to wrap around the rice if you liked. What I liked the very best was the variety and a small bowl of udon noodles that came with my meal. Not too large- just enough to cover your craving, not too salty either. I'll be back with my friends to show them this hidden gem. Going on slow hours your server will help crank out the food that flies out of the kitchen. It all hit pretty much all at once so it was a bit overwhelming but I recovered nicely. Support small businesses!

I was a huge fan of this place when it was strictly Japanese...and was quite bummed when I heard…read morethey changed this restaurant from Japanese to Asian fusion. In any case, I finally decided to check out the place for dinner. Well, right away, I saw that they added more tables. Even with more tables, the restaurant still seemed pretty spacious. I've always loved the spaciousness of this place...but I find the layout a bit awkward. Unless you come with a group of 4, you'll most likely be seated in the open area...where there's just this utter lack of privacy. So yeah, as nice as this place is, there's a certain lack of comfort and coziness? I also noticed that their menu/menus looked quite different. Initially I was handed just this Korean-Chinese menu...and when I asked if they had Bento Boxes, they handed me the Japanese menu, but I didn't see any sushi rolls on the menu (??). I should have asked, but I just let that go. In retrospect, I really regret not asking. But then again, I wonder why they didn't hand out ALL the menus right off the bat? Who knows...Maybe they had a third menu with a list of sushi rolls?? ANYWAY, I ended up ordering their Bulgogi Bento, which turned out to be quite substantial in portion, and well presented. The thing I didn't like was the bland, undercooked Bulgogi, with excessive fat. I've been getting served a lot of Bulgogi like this lately around town..and it has somewhat turned me off to Bulgogi in general. I personally prefer a much better cooked Bulgogi, with less fat. I enjoyed the Japchae, as well as the fried sides, but frankly, all the foods were all lacking in full Korean flavor. Some of the sides in the bento just seemed off...like these lackluster Avocado Sushi Rolls and a generic Salad (??). I felt that for the 32-dollar pricing, the sides should have been much better. This bento also came with Egg Drop Soup...but again, too bland. Guess I should have poured some soy sauce. As usual, the service was really good though. They even added this complimentary post-meal drink...this might have been the best part of my entire meal? I still think this is a really nice restaurant, with a lot to offer. I just didn't like how it got rid of many of its stellar Japanese menu items. Also, unfortunately, I just didn't like what I ordered. Again, the Bulgogi was too mild and too fatty...and all the foods in the Bento tasted a bit too bland. If I was to return, I would definitely not repeat the Bulgogi Bento. If they really don't have any sushi rolls, guess I'd order something Chinese?

Yet, there is something special about Flying Roll. Anything from it's cozy, quiet atmosphere to the flavor-forward rolls, I'd go so far as to say, there's nothing that would disappoint. We dined on Shumai and Rangoon with our hot green tea. The rolls arrived in very good time following - The Triple X, Lobster Love and Snow Mountain rolls. The Shumai was very tasty, but the Rangoon had with more crab than cream cheese - a first, much to our pleasure. For the rolls, each was enough for one person. The standout was the Lobster Lover, followed very closely by the Triple X. The snow mountain roll was a bit heavy with the tempura flakes ( the Snow? ) but decent overall. Recapping, the service, flavors and vibe all warrant future visits for certain, if for no other reason than to try their other offerings, which are plentiful! Even the drive itself would not be a factor. BON APPÉTIT

The variety of sushi was splendid, they gave nigiri sushi along with cooked sushi. The wings were yummy as well as their shrimp crab boil.
