I though I would never say that ramen were not good. I go to many ramen/ noodle house so I know a thing or two. First and forth most the worse broth, it's like if my ramen was submerged in oil and not broth, it was so salty-the egg for some reason was dark which makes me think it was old; the pork was not broiled, more like it was just browned on skillet and then boiled, No flavor! The waitress kept on asking if we were ready for dessert, but never saw dessert on the menu... we ended up paying a outrageous price for noodles and the portions were very very little... our total bill was $40 ... and didn't even have alcohol!!!!! So disappointing... not coming back there. read more

Crispy brussel sprouts and shoyu ramen from the hotel restaurant is pretty good I'd say. It's interesting because they serve Italian American and all sorts of things here and the environment is interesting being half upscale and half casual. The layout and decor is very fun and visually stimulating in and good way. Like a high end food court. The food was good. Had breakfast tacos and breakfast sandwich and fruit. It all tasted good. Also got chocolate milk after our workout. That might've been the best thing bc it tasted somehow better than just Hershey's syrup. Anyhow for those three dishes and two chocolate milks it was $60 or so. Little pricy but super convenient if you're staying at this hotel. Otherwise not sure I'd trek all the way here for breakfast from the a la carte menu only bc the pricepoint. read more

This place feels like a Disney movie set with delicious food. I stayed at the Fairmont for a week and frequented this restaurant three times it was so good (and expensive, sheesh). I'm here to write about the breakfast buffet though, I came here once for dinner and it was tasty, but the breakfast really stood out in my mind. The buffet had really tasty and high-end options with a crepe bar and charcuterie board. The bacon, potatoes, and eggs were really good. The service was okay, staff here are super friendly in the beginning and then after a while they start to check on you less and less, to the point where you have to ask other random servers to come and help. Aside from this, the restaurant is visually appealing and makes for a really neat experience. read more

The ambiance is really nice. It's located just in the Fairmount hotel, sort of unexpected. When you walk in, it looks sort of like a broadway/theater set? It's very cute with a large centered bar. The waiter was really nice as well, informative and serving in a timely manner. The food was a bit on the pricey side. It was somewhere around $14 for banh mi, $15 for ramen-portions are definitely small, and $12 for a mimosa-yikes. I did love the selection, but maybe I should have come for brunch? read more

I brunch often and previously learned of Revue's Sunday brunch while staying at the Fairmont. I looked forward to returning often now that I live locally. The environment is super fun, allowing for a slightly different ambience depending on where you are seated. When my party of four arrived, we were informed it would be an hour wait. I had spent 15 minutes attempting to make a reservation the day prior only to be told, they don't accept reservations for the brunch buffet. We were offered seating at the kitchen counter facing the wall..... not super conducive for a party of 4, but we were hungry and we were there. NOTE: I was later informed that the person who told me reservations were not allowed is a third party answering/reservation service and was misinformed- restaurant/ hotel management ensured this will be corrected. Within a few minutes, our lovely waiters, Zach and Jasper, assured us they would do everything they could to seat us at a proper table. Graciously, we accepted. We ordered drinks, our first round of their "BYOB(build your own brunch)" and hit the buffet. This time, we were VERY excited to see the oysters on the half shell, smoked salmon and shrimp included! Again, our great waiters went above and beyond to make sure our experience was improved given the rocky start. After our first round of food, the kitchen we were seated next to experienced a small fire and the fire suppression system (ANSUL) was activated. My husband immediately evacuated our table (including an infant) and the restaurant staff reacted swiftly. Thankfully, the area we were seated in had doors so the chemical retardant could be contained and no other diners were affected other than our table and one couple. The staff seated us in a new area, apologized profusely and continued to make sure our experience was salvaged. When returning to the buffet, a member of our party tried to toast a bagel but the toaster was broken. Immediately, a staffer took it to the kitchen and had it toasted. They replaced the toaster promptly. All of this to say- we all have off days. We have staff who don't have all the information or accurate information, there can be hiccups in operations and issues with tools. It was the staff who made this experience so lovely. We will absolutely be returning because of the lovely service we received. Being taken care of by staff of this caliber is the reason I gave Revue 5-stars! Highly recommend. read more

$35 per person for AYCE brunch. The food was delicious and plentiful! I loved a medley of different options... from the roasted Brussels sprouts, to the roasted carrots, to the generous strips of bacon, to the fluffy eggs, to the roasted fingerling potatoes, etc. In addition to that, we ordered the ATX Benny, blueberry crepe, and chicken & waffles (all still part of the AYCE brunch- but needs to be ordered so that it can be specially prepared as you scarf down the buffet items). Our server was friendly and attentive- she even had a tray of assorted desserts brought out for us to make sure our bellies stayed full. Parking is also free for the first 3 hours, just remember to let your server know so that he/she can hand you a barcode ticket to scan at the machine. KEEP IN MIND that you need to take your parking ticket and barcode ticket to scan as you exit the garage (at the gate). It won't work at the machine that's next to the Bell Desk, at least that's what we noticed and what we were consequently advised. This saved us from mild confusion and disappointment... and kept us from having to unnecessarily fork over $17. read more

My biggest complaint is that it is in the hotel and I was forced to use valet parking, which wouldn't have been that big of a deal but the attendant farted in my car before he returned it. Overpriced food and okay service. This restaurant has 4 different kitchens in one. We tried the Italian and Asian. Italian was good! Asian was awful. The concept of this place is pretty neat and so is the vibe but the food was not very good for what we paid for, we couldn't had a much better meal at a lower price. Just as we thought it couldn't get any worse, we ordered a pecan pie a la mode and the pie came out cold! We were expecting for it to be warm especially if it was paired with ice cream. Unfortunately this restaurant made a mess out of Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet. Our small family eats out for Thanksgiving. This year was the first bad meal we've had in years. Revue was stingy with the meats. They had some sort of ordering number scheme which was poorly explained to us so we ended up with a very small amount of turkey, ham and chicken. The dressing was awful. It was mushy and seemed to be made out of croutons and biscuits. To make it worse they added sausage to the dressing. How do you screw up basic cornbread dressing? Much of the meat and vegetables were not warm. They didn't have traditional dinner rolls. Dessert was pretty good. read more

Located in the Fairmont, this restaurant does an "all you can eat" buffet / brunch list with anything you could ever imagine at breakfast. Food was unbelievable!! I am not sure about their other food offerings, but the pizza I ordered from their "Pop-Up" was was quite possibly the worst I've ever had. To start, it was $15 for 6 or 7 inch pizza. The comically large box they placed it in made it seem even smaller. Upon opening the box, I just burst out in laughter. I could tell by looking at it that it wasn't going to be any good. I've had microwave pizzas that were of better quality than this. I probably would have just let it slide if it weren't for the price. The sad thing is, I ordered 2 of them. $30 dollars down the drain. We were not staying at The Fairmont but heard great things about the restaurant from local residents so we went for dinner. I'm so glad we did! What a delight. The space is amazing and you forget you're in a single restaurant. Areas are well separated and it feels like you're in a town with different venues. You get a menu that has all the cuisines listed so you are not limited to the area where you're seated. Because of the way the space is divided, it never felt loud or crowded even with other tables in the same area. Each item my large table ordered was better than the last. The staff was helpful in making suggestions of the number of dishes to order to share. Many were passed, some just for a single person. It worked out beautifully and each of us was delighted with the meal. I wish I lived in the area to have dinner there again. I know I will if I'm ever in Austin. Thanks, Revue & Fairmont. The food was super tasty. We went there for Valentine's Day and I just think they may have been understaffed. It took us an hour and 10 minutes to get our food from when we ordered. It's a bit confusing getting to the restaurant because the sign right outside of it says it's for a different restaurant. Once you get in, the restaurant is divided into two sections: Asian side vs Italian side. Two kitchens for each side. Not sure how I felt when we were seated on the Asian side, along the side, between two parties. Definitely felt claustrophobic the entire time. The food itself was average at best. We got the grilled edamame which was the best thing IMO. Bold Asian flavors and a good char. The Cesar salad was good/average; Cesar dressing was ranch tasting. Their interpretation of pad Thai was different--very Chinese lo Mein oyster sauce heavy. I bumped up to 3 stars because this is a "fusion" restaurant so I can't be very judgmental on the authenticity. I also found it odd that there was no salt or pepper on the table. It's a good place to try if you're staying at the hotel and not wanting to venture outside of Austin. read more

We stayed at the Fairmont (lovely hotel,) so decided to get brunch on a Sunday morning. For $35 the selection and quality of food was amazing! From eggs all sorts of ways, enchiladas, bacon, sausage, brussel sprouts, potatoes, croissants, breads, fruits, yogurts, cheeses and meats, an amazing raw bar with oysters, jumbo shrimp, lox and all the fixings, and a fabulous pastry selection...not to mention the "small bites" you can also order to compliment the brunch. I wished I could have tried more, but there is only so much one can eat. I did order a dumpling and waffle that never did come- oh well- I was so full there was no way I'd be able to eat it. Oh...and get the tomato toast-pure umami punch. Did I mention the fabulous live music? And all of the servers were so pleasant. We mainly had Zack, who was so fabulous. I feel like it's a hidden gem here, and well worth the money. I'll return for sure. read more

The concept of Revue is interesting. It feels like a food court walking in, but it's one restaurant with various kitchens. Plates are on the smaller side (as the menu recommends 2-3 dishes per person), but I wouldn't say that they're as small as tapas. The brussel sprouts were delicious, pasta was so so, ramen was sub par, Poké was average. It's located within the Fairmont Hotel, so prices are slightly high, but not terrible for a high end hotel. There is a wonderful hot buffet, a cold seafood buffet (where else do you get all the oysters you can eat?), lovely dessert buffet, additional items you can get cooked to order, 2$ mimosas. A feast for the eyes and taste buds. Revue is a global dining hall- a current trend in big cities. What makes review unique is you don't have to visit each kitchen separately you sit order from one menu but those orders are made from four different kitchens with in this restaurant. There is Asian, American, Italian foodd and pastries. The service was excellent from Elisha at the front door, two Louis our server, to Mitch the manager. we were there for lunch during a very busy service due to a convention next door in the convention hall and yet the staff and kitchen did not miss a beat. Reservations are normally recommended in case there's a convention in town. It's located on the first floor of the new Fairmont Hotel. Just like the kitchens there are different visual design aesthetics inside. The pricing is also reasonable for being inside a 4 star hotel. I highly recommend this place I visited while on business trip I would definitely go back and I recommended to locals as well. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. Revue posted an Easter brunch menu (4/21/19) online for a set price of $65.00/ea, including entrees. When we arrived, we were handed a special menu for entrees (listed online as free) and told there was an additional cost of entrees - which looked to be about $25/each. This made me very angry as I felt it was a bait and switch - and we certainly had many other options for brunch. So the meal did not start on a good note. Overall the food was unimpressive. While the shrimp were big (and good), the oysters were minuscule - with most being the size of a quarter, so I passed on them. The bacon was half raw and imho, not safe to eat. We had no other meat in our meal as we did not order entrees. The ONLY egg option that did not cost extra was scrambled eggs. There were no egg or meat carving stations. The service was HORRIBLE. We were half way done eating before our server approached us for the first time - which was @ 20 minutes. I literally got up and served our own water TWICE as the server was that inattentive and my daughter and I were thirsty. We had more attention from the two other servers who tried bring us entree items that we did not order. Finally, the "free" parking they promoted was not provided, as the parking pass the server finally gave me was expired, so the "free" parking cost me $17.00. So I got angry all over again as we were leaving. Even making reservations was problematic. We had to change times so we lost our table seating and had to sit at the bar (which was not the restaurants fault). Revue website said no openings, Opentable said bar seating available. So I called to confirm - took 15 minutes as the person on phone said nothing was available and had NO IDEA that they had opened up bar seating. I had to demand that she go and ask a manager. VERY POORLY run restaurant and NOT WORTH THE MONEY! I did complain to the manager who said he would refund our meal. (Although, I haven't seen that yet). We always go out to a fancy brunch and look forward to this outing as a family. It's a special treat and is not inexpensive. I was so disappointed and angry, it really ruined Easter for us. read more

Ordered the brussell sprouts and Chinese broccoli. Service was horrible. We waited over an hour and finally was able to ask our server how much longer and what the hold up was. His response was that he didn't know, he just puts the orders in....of course that was not good enough for me. I complained to the sweet girls at the front who seated us. They notified management and they took care of us-Served our food and sent over some extra dishes and dessert. We were there for a total of two hours. The party next to us seemed to be waiting a while as well. The veggies were deliciously prepare but I was beyond hangry. Wish this place could've offered better service and some sort of vegetarian platter besides pizza. read more
