This is a review for their ayce brunch. It is AMAZING. The place looks very "vegas" like, ie it's a large space with multiple themed sections (ie asian theme, tex mex, etc...). There is live music playing (at least on saturdays). The cold bar is amazing, unlimited shrimp cocktails, and oysters. OYSTERS!! The dessert bar is great too. The other bars not so much but the order as you eat hot food items are great. basically they give you a small menu card with some items (sweets, salty, all fares, etc) that you can order and it comes out fresh and hot. Definitely get the churros and the fried rice. read more

So we went on a very busy night, yet only One of the restaurants in the food court was open-the pizza place. I give the pizza a two out of ten... Completely soggy-almost only dough! That wasn't the worst part though.... When the waiter brought my espresso martini, the whole side of his hand was touching my drink! As he handed it to me, he was holding it with his fingers over the rim (hands on top Of the glass)! He laughed as he set it down and said he must have spilled some on his hand, but you could see (with how he was holding it) that the side of his hand was actually in my drink! Needless to say, and being the germaphobe that I am, I was not able to drink the martini. Covid has definitely changed my threshold for germs; but I think anyone would have not been ok with someone's unwashed hand in their drink. Either way, it was a disappointment all around. read more

RICK the bartender is outstanding, he made me a passion fruit margarita and all I can say is YUM. CHRIS the barback is a delight! ALIF always gives us a warm welcome when we come dine, I can NOT think of a better trio. They are the only reasons I ever step foot in Revue. Also the manager is Garrison.. ERIC? This is an AMAZING place for brunch. They accommodated our large party of 10+ and were so incredibly nice and warm in their service. There is a $35 per person brunch buffet where you have access to multiple rooms of food (hot foods, baked goods, fruits, fresh seafood, and desserts) along with a short menu of food to order from, in addition to the self serve areas. All of their food was delicious, I especially enjoyed the chicken and waffles, warm chocolate chip cookies, biscuits, but everything was really excellent. On top of all of this incredible food, they also have $2 mimosas, $3 beers, and $4 bloody Marys! This place just opened recently, but it's a fantastic addition and I'm sure it will be super busy once everyone hears about it. Went to REVUE for brunch with TravelZoo deal ($22 with the deal and $35 if purchased at the restaurant). We love the brunch buffet. One can order individual plates as seen in the picture as much as one wants plus breakfast buffet, oyster, smoked fish and shrimp buffet. When we were there, they have a band playing too. Crowds were too busy to our liking but the server took care of us. Everything we had were delicious, but love those individual bowl of wonton peppercorn specials (no pic) We'll be back. read more

This review is for the brunch. Excellent selection of brunch items that ranges from hot items ( scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chilaquiles, sweet potato hash, etc.), a variety of baked goods and cold items (raw oysters, jumbo cocktail shrimp, smoked salmon, etc.) The build-your-own brunch menu card had items like chicken n' waffles (so good!), breakfast brisket taco, blueberry pancakes that are included as well. These menu items are small portions, which is perfect so you can try them all and reorder whichever you like best. There's a dessert/candy table in the front and they give out little to-go pouches so you can stock up and enjoy later. And mimosas are only $2! I've had Moonshine Grill and Jack Allen's brunch buffet, which are good but definitely think that this place is better and worth the extra $ read more

The brunch special at Revue was amazing! For $35, you get a very tasteful buffet as well as a menu of made-to-order options. They have $2 mimosas and a very tasty green juice. They have fresh seafood such as OYSTERS (!), shrimp, and smoked salmon. You see the dessert platter right behind the hostess stand when you walk in and it is spectacular. Things you see on fancy baking TV shows. Macarons, mini fruit tarts, GOLD FLAKED BLUEBERRIES (?!). From the made-to-order menu, we tried the blueberry pancakes, blueberry crepes, the chicken & waffles, and the brisket breakfast tacos. These dishes are all mini except for the hefty taco. We thought the chicken & waffles might be the best in town. We enjoyed everything we ate. The decor in this place is marvelous, you don't even feel like you're in Austin. There was a really good live band playing on the "patio" of Garrison entrance which added to the relaxed/vacation vibes. The space is very large, but I believe there could be more seating. We did not have a reservation and had to sit at the bar, but the buffet was not crowded by any means. read more

Review is for breakfast only...might be better for other meals. The good: - Interesting atmosphere. Kind of feels like something you'd find in Vegas. - The meat products (bacon, ham, sausage) were above average. - Ordered eggs were cooked properly. The not so good: - Service ranged from good to piss poor. - Tea is not included in the buffet, but coffee and juice are? - Expensive for what you get. (Cinnamon Roll and Tea was over $22) - Baked goods were poor. We ate here three different days because of the hotel credit we had. Even though the restaurant was 1/3 full we waited 20 minutes to be seated the first day, and we were seated at a table that had been open the entire time. The next day, we called down to see if we could put our name on a list and was told they don't do that. Service ranged from attentive to non-existent. One server made sure we had water/coffee/juice and on another day a different server didn't bring coffee until were were about done with our meal and never offered juice. Coffee is supposed to be included with the buffet, but the tried to charge $7 one day. Tea is extra with the $26 buffet. The baked goods we tried were very sad. The $15 Cinnamon Roll was dry, overbaked, and the frosting was gritty. Other baked goods with the buffet were soggy. We did try the $23 classic breakfast which was decent. Eggs were cooked as ordered and the potatoes had good flavor. If you don't have hotel credit to use, you might have a better experience at the IHOP down the street. read more

This was a welcome find to this welcoming city. The brunch had a few options one with buffet with one being a la carte with access to the seafood and buffet area as well. I opted for the latter. The seafood station had somewhat limited but good options. Fresh shucked oysters, jumbo shrimp, some lox, chips and all the condiments one can imagine. The oysters were very good and gleaning fresh (something I would have stayed away from in the blazing heat). Shrimps were nice and plump. Smoked salmon was ok. The warm buffet table was skipped by moi. I tried almost all the menu items on a la carte. The standout out being salmon Benedict. The chicken waffles and beef & taco being decent as well. The dessert items are all made fresh so good as well. The mimosas are 2$! With beer being at 3$ price point. The service is courteous as well. The live band was what it is. I had the Salmon Poke appetizer as my entree because I wasn't particularly hungry. The white soy sauce that comes with it is pretty savory. My friend ordered the Korean Tofu Bowl as she's a vegetarian. The server brought us Blistered Edamame (gf) on the house as it was a slow Sunday evening, which was very kind of him. I added a Korean Bowl substituted with extra bulgogi beef (+$8) to-go for my boyfriend because he's a carnivorous bulgogi lover. He really liked it. Big props for the to-go box; it's a lot of food! However, getting this dish to-go doesn't warrant the crispy rice on the bottom burned from a stone hot bowl. Just a word of caution. The ambiance actually makes me feel like I'm in Vegas, which is not a particularly soothing lighting. Everything looks dark and violetish. Just FYI! read more

I was staying at the hotel for a work event and the day I arrived, I was DYING of hunger lol. I checked out this spot and was intrigued because of their "food hall" experience. There is one menu but a few different kitchens. I had the fried avocado tacos with fries. It was yummy, but I with it was corn instead of flour tortillas. The fries were SO crispy it was great. I then returned for lunch the next day and tried the Korean fried chicken wings. Wow. So freaking good. Big portions, super crispy with a lot of flavor. I again had the fries lol. The following night, I came once again, ordered the carbonara pasta. The portion was a bit small but fuLl of flavor. I got the wings again to go because I was still hungry and they're just so good. They're on the happy hour menu, so they were $6! Today I tried to venture out for dinner, but the spot I wanted to try was closed, so I returned to old reliable I ordered the carbonara again with the garlic toast. Today the pasta was spicier but I still enjoyed it. The toast was HUGE but tasty. I also had a glass of their Malbec. I totally recommend this spot. It's great for groups since dishes are meant to be shared and they can accommodate seating. read more

The bartender was really great and service was wonderful. If just discussing that it would have been 5 stars. I ordered the buratta and it wasn't good. The inside was completely runny. Also, be aware if you have any food sensitivities because the menu does not reflect the actual ingredients. Example: menu shows the buratta is served with "sourdough." It's actually served with a sort of sourdough garlic bread with lots of oil, garlic and red pepper flakes. Had I known about these added items, I wouldn't have ordered it. Same with the broccolini that showed up smothered in garlic and chives. Finally, I ordered a glass of wine and it had clearly been open for at least a couple of days. I'd think a restaurant like this could buy some kind of wine preservation system but they just put a cork on and call it a day. Bummer. I was super excited to eat here. read more

Our breakfast experience here was very lack luster. Now the location is beautiful, and fairly easy to get a spot. We ate breakfast here one day and it took a while for things like biscuits and sausage gravy, and an acai bowl. The acai bowl was not like anything you have had as it legit was just like a yogurt bowl? The sausage gravy and biscuits were good but nothing to write home about. What a great place. Inside the Fairmont. I really enjoyed the vibe. My friend made us reservations here via OpenTable and told them it was my birthday. They treated us nicely. We enjoyed our food. We started with a cheese board. One person got an Asian bowl, one got a seafood tower (Nibble) and another got carbonara. Then ReVue gave us a few deserts for my birthday. My favorite was the apple cobbler crepe. It was amazing. They validate parking for three hours in their parking garage. Makes it a win win! We sat on a table on the porch of their other restaurant Garrison and it was a perfect spot. A really fun night. Thank you Fairmont and ReVue for a night I will always remember. I LOVE the concept behind Revue, and will probably be back to try out more dishes! The restaurant is completely inside the Fairmont, but part of a group of restaurants that are designed to replicate a little patio-type deal. Hard to explain, just go for yourself and enjoy it in person! So I had always understood Revue to be a fusion-type restaurant, but it's not quite that. Half the menu is Italian/western and the other is Asian. There are enticing options on both sides, so it was hard to choose! In the end my friend went with an Asian option, and I went with a pasta. We also shared the cured meat board and poutine. The cured meat board was pretty standard/average. It wasn't that great, but wasn't bad. Probably wouldn't get again. Nothing really stood out. The poutine actually tasted SO good! My only reservation about recommending it is that it's not really your traditional poutine. The fries weren't smothered in gravy and cheese curds -- instead, it was more like a thin layer of (very flavorful and delicious) gravy and a little bit of cheese. Not bad at all, and I would definitely get this again! The ramen that my friend got was not great lol. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as savory or heavy or flavorful as we would've liked. Especially because there are so many Ramen Tatsu-Ya locations, I would skip the ramen here and go to a specialty ramen shop. Can't recommend. The carbonara was like the poutine. SO flavorful and delicious, but not quite what you'd expect in a traditional carbonara. The pasta was so incredibly greasy that after finishing, there was a pretty deep layer of oil at the bottom of my dish. The sauce also wasn't silky/creamy (as you can tell from the excess oil). The pasta was also a bit dry/undercooked. But, the flavor was so good that I am willing to look past it all and come back for another try. Over all, I love the concept, the ambiance, the service, and some of the food. While not quite traditional, the restaurant actually does an amazing job with flavors! Will definitely be back. Hopefully will get a chance to update my review with more stars! (You can tell I desperately want to love this place lol.) read more

This was probably the worst dinner I've had in Austin unfortunately. I got the spicy vodka pasta (recommended by the waiter) and it was awful. There was absolutely no flavor, it had a weird texture, and had sort of a woody taste (like the pasta they used was old). The service also wasn't great. The drinks took forever to come, so much so that we had to remind our server. It's not like this place was busy either there was only one other table. I really liked the ambience of this place but the food and the service really ruined it for me. I will also mention that I do not have any food intolerances but I had the WORST stomachache after I ate, and so did the other members of my party that ate the pasta. Some people did opt for the Asian food on the menu and they had positive reactions to it so if you go here I recommended ordering Asian. read more

Let's begin with the positives. Reservations were easy to make for brunch. The green juice is a must as well as the French Toast. And that's it. It's understandable that the buffet is the prime brunch experience, but if you don't eat meat you have a total of 2 options. The aesthetic is painfully derived and tacky- think New York New York in Vegas circa 2009. The service was uninformed and lackluster. The amount of times I had to ask for basic items was awkward. Disappointment would best describe my experience at the breakfast brunch for which I had a reservation at 10:00 a.m. last Saturday. As a general rule, when I come to a buffet an hour or less before it ends, I temper my expectations. In this case, REVUE did not meet my modest expectations. So why four stars? Two nights prior to my experience with the REVUE brunch, my party and I enjoyed a wonderful late night dessert at REVUE that included Texas-sized slices of pecan pie, chocolate chip cookies, milk, and coffee drinks. Additionally, the general manager, upon hearing about my disappointment with REVUE's breakfast brunch contacted me and made things right. I figure that alone is worth two stars. I had met the GM the evening prior at Garrison (see separate review for Garrison), the over-the-top EXCELLENT wood-grilled restaurant also in the Fairmont. I know that my feedback will improve the issues I experienced and I'm looking forward to giving REVUE another try on my next visit to the Fairmont. Overall, the hotel is absolutely over-the-top, a must-stay while in Austin. I'm an avid and frequent Fairmont guest, and in my view, the Fairmont Austin is among the very best in the portfolio. read more

I've been a few times to Revue for the Sunday Brunch and I love it. I love the buffet (its not your typical dried out stale buffet) it has shrimp and grits, the best Brussels, eggs, bacon, fresh pastries, charcuterie and cheeses plus so much more. There is also a raw bar with oysters, shrimp and smoked salmon with all the trimmings. Plus you get to order from the Build your own brunch menu. I love how you get to circle what you want (in accordance to the portion size you want). Also love that the mimosas are $2! I'll keep going back. Also love that once you have paid you get a postcard that you can fill out and they will mail for you. read more

Food and cocktail wise, it was 5 stars. The Korean fried chicken wings were perfection and I'm not even a big wings fan. The crispy brussel sprouts were also delicious, but I feel like you can't really go too wrong with crispy brussels. The edamame with pork was a little underwhelming, as the dried pork was just a lump on top of the edamame and didn't stick to it, so you didn't get hardly any of it when you picked up a pod. The pork could have used some sauce to give it more flavor and stick factor. They have a HH Monday through Friday, 5-7 and validate for self parking in the garage. All good things! The negative one star was for the ambiance. It felt like a cheesy Vegas restaurant with faux brick walls (read wallpaper), fake front porch, projection screen of a sky with birds flying, and fake trees and plants. Absolutely amazing! I came here for a group meeting hosted by Fairmont. We were seated in a private dining area and the staff was prompt and professional when taking and bringing our orders. We were welcomed with an assortment of pastries (all delicious) and the staff brought out a coffee granola parfait which was incredibly delicious. I am not a parfait person and I finished the entire bowl. I had the Two Eggs and Style plate with sausage, over medium eggs, fingerling potatoes and cherry tomatoes. Being a tomato lover, I asked for extra tomatoes and they were absolutely delicious- pan seared with some.oil and very well seasoned. Food-wise, was nothing to write home about. The dish and appetizers I had were pretty bland. Mostly just need to talk about how it does not feel good to physically be in this space. Atmosphere and overall aesthetic are super important, and it just doesn't work here. This place is weird. Just. So weird. The interior is uncomfortable. It's modeled like a film set, with different fake store fronts that are all artificial. Stage lights all over the ceiling, fake kitchens that no one is working in, fake film gear in a big pile by the bathroom... Just can't figure out what they're trying to do here. read more

I actually love how the menu includes both Asian and Italian food- enough to make everyone happy. My burger was perfectly cooked. I also loved the Brussels sprouts and papaya salad. The service was incredibly gracious. Someone in my party was discussing how she'd never had pecan pie and the hostess overheard and brought out a piece on the house. We really felt super welcomed and hope to be back the next time we are in Austin - even if we don't stay at The Fairmont! read more

Fancy hotel restaurants may vary in terms of quality, but are virtually guaranteed to be over-priced and Revue is of course no exception. The concept is intriguing with four distinct culinary experiences represented under the same roof -- Italian, Asian, Seafood, and Dessert. The set-up is striking, with a neon and brick aesthetic, colorful fake trees, and a central bar straight out of a trendy club. We opted to stick with the Asian theme and ordered the following starters: chili wontons, Korean fried chicken wings, and the Okonomiyaki pancake. The latter was the star here with an excellent umami-sweet flavor profile and doughy texture. The fried chicken was our least favorite as it tasted exactly like its list of ingredients (soy, sesame, scallions) rather than being greater than the sum of its parts. The chili wontons were fairly good, with a nice soft texture but barely any stuffing. I ordered the Shio ramen for my main course and I was not a fan at all. My dad echoed the sentiment with his Shoyu version. The broth was thin, watery, and lacked any depth of flavor. In fact, it didn't really have much flavor at all on top of being extremely oily and harsh on the stomach. The chashu pork was extremely fibrous and tough, like I was gnawing on an ear. And I should also mention that the bowl was tiny and cost $15. Perhaps the Italian or other Asian options are more palatable, but I would highly recommend against ordering the ramen here. read more

Very impressive for a hotel restaurant, but then again, the Fairmont is not ordinary hotel. I had a lovely meal with colleagues during a conference and everything was great. I had a flatbread pizza and it was delicious. Others had various apps and tacos and sandwiches and all were happy. Looking forward to coming back. read more

Located inside the Fairmont hotel , this beautiful and unique concept with multiple cuisines under one roof does not disappoint . I ate there there twice and both times were excellent . The first time , I had the ramen and it was so flavorful . The second time around , I went for the happy hour and had the polpettini, the Korean fried chicken wings , and the okonomiyaki pancake and everything was so tasty and well prepared .
