Another fabulous job by Helen who always has the CLEANEST setup and a spotless salon !! She has the latest colors and is honest with what will look good and would won't look good. She really is my favorite but I see her other tech's being super popular and sought out !

    Beautiful Summer Full Set!!

BEST NAILS EVER!!! Sophia did an amazing job and was so nice and helpful it making sure I got exactly what I wanted! She was very efficient and knew exactly what to do and how to go about it. Finally Sophia gave me a fair quote before we started to insure there no surprises at the end!! I can now officially say i am vacation ready!!

Gel polish. Uneven nails, not square, stroke lines visible. Uneven gel polish at tips bc it was filed after. Done on 5/28. Posted on 5/30.

They accommodated my sister and I even though we we were late for our appointment so that was nice of them. What we didn't realize was that they were going to rush the entire process and ultimately give terrible results. Just look at my gel polish nails which were done on 5/28/21. This review and photo was posted on 05/30/21. Not worth the cost of it. This is the quality received because we were late and it was a busy day. Had I known, we wouldn't have stayed. The worst part was another customer was waiting on her ride which she had called already. This customer is clearly an older lady in her late 80s with a walking disability requiring a walker. She was waiting on her ride and it was talking a while. They asked her multiple times if her ride was coming. I thought if it was out of concern for her until another nail tech lady said something along the lines, "Is your ride coming? Bc we can't have this many people in the store." I thought it was incredibly rude considering that customer appeared to be a loyal customer because she was coming back the next day for more services. And to be honest, how was that older lady going to make her ride be there faster? They clearly wanted the nail seat she was sitting on. That was big turn off. Shame on you.

Love this little salon!! I have been coming here for almost 3 yrs now since I got stationed at the Pentagon. Everything is always so clean, the service is so awesome and the staff is friendly and extremely accommodating. Also, most reasonable prices in the ENTIRE surrounding area.

it's clean and big. I used to love this place but my favorite technicians keep leaving. The last manicure I had there was a disaster. I haven't had good luck in several attempts to try someone else. Sadly I will look elsewhere.

She didn't even clean around my nails. She left dead skin and dried acrylic all over my skin.

*They raised their prices as of 7/1/17* he first time I came here I got a gel mani ($25) and I left unhappy. She didn't shape them properly and my dead skin wasn't cut. But I wanted to give them a second chance. I came back and asked for a gel mani, they raised their price to $30 as of July 1st. She told me that she would charge me extra ($5) for my broken nail because she wanted to put acrylic on it. Since I was already paying an extra $10 (normally used to $25) I figured I would get a full set because normally full sets are around $35. At this salon a full set is $50. AND I only got an acrylic overlay (no tips). My nails ended up being chunky, thick, uneven, and are painful (see pictures). She got the acrylic powder all over my skin and it BURNED. I told her so many times it was hurting and she kept saying "it's okay" and would just put alcohol on it. She kept using the buffer on my skin (very painful) and I had to ask her multiple times to clean underneath my nails because she just left all the acrylic there. My nails are so chunky and uneven, I'm so unhappy I spent $50 here. She didn't even clean around my nails. (See pictures - I took these immediately after I left the salon today) Please avoid this place. I'm sure the other nail techs are good but with all the nail salons in the area, this place isn't worth it (especially since they raised their prices) I recommend "indulge nails" right down the street. The do a good job and it much cheaper. I also thought it was unprofessional to wait till their customers were sitting down and already getting their service to then tell them that they raised their prices. They had a lot of unhappy regular customers.

It was our first and our last time at Rex Day Spa. It was a horrible experience. I've been battling with my health for some time now. Mini Spa days with my mom is our happy time. I had several doctor appointments that day. Let's just say it had been a long day. My mom didn't get to sit near each other. The nail tech cut my mom. We will never return to this salon.

He was great conversationalist, really openly valued me coming to their salon which was sweet and appreciated. He was so fast, i was AMAZED at how he did such a good gel manicure in such little time. The salon is so clean, chairs are comfortable, LOTS of color options. Prices are good, pretty standard for the area

But I'm taking 1 star (and maybe is more like a solid 3.8 service) have mixed feelings about the service, since I think it was quite overpriced for the end result. The color catseye polish is beautiful and the nails have never felt this strong (I was a dip and powder girlie, until it became too harsh for my nail bed and stop doing my nails at all), although the detailing of the painting left me a little disappointed, since the edges of my nail (not the cuticle area) are already fading at 12 days, the lady really didn't paint the sides of my nail, and I have to show her while she thought she was done. It felt like she was practicing shaping and painting on me when I got charged $78 (tax and tip not a included) for it I've seen what other people got around me and looked very lovely, I will give them a try again, since it's supposedly less expensive to "fill in" this gel, I would definitely not go with catseye polish unless I'm ready to spend another $15 more, but as for nail strength, I will recommend getting the hybrid gel!

I love anything spa and wellness and I've had plenty of facials, but this one was different. Maria starts with the consultation where she ensures she agrees with your consensus of what type of skin you have and why you're there to see her. She shares facts and data points that I found super useful when evaluating what I needed to change to take care of my face. You'll get some steam to open pores, extraction, mask, massage, moisture, etc. I opted for the biogenic facial. It's ideal for those of you that want to start with a fresh palette. She'll also tell you what to do when you leave her office and how to see continued results. Yes, I left with some products, but they're all natural, organic, and I purchased the core products I don't already have in my (overindulgent) product world. The coolest thing Maria introduced me to and recommended - this electromagnetic something or other that she'd run over some type of bee pollen powder to almost create a barrier between your face, the cleansing it just got, and helping with healing and closing everything back up. It's apparently very common in the Ukraine and Russia. It doesn't hurt, just feels like an electric current is going across your face. I can't describe that eloquently, but it's cool and I bought into it. Maria will fix you up. Come here for some improvements. She offers a variety of services. I'll be back.

This review is not about their work -- I've always been treated well during my appointments. Unfortunately, it's the customer service that has left me deeply disappointed, hurt, and frankly humiliated. After my most recent wax appointment, I suffered a burn in a very sensitive area. Accidents happen, and I initially reached out simply to inform the salon and seek support. Instead of being met with care or professionalism, I was dismissed and blamed, with customer service telling me I "must have a skin condition" -- a completely baseless and insensitive claim. I submitted a formal complaint through the salon's website, hoping for a more appropriate response. To my shock, the same employee who had already dismissed me called and asked me to send photos of my private parts -- without offering any apology, support, or remedy. This was highly inappropriate and made me extremely uncomfortable. Trying to resolve the situation, I went to the salon in person to show photos of the injury. Even after seeing the images, the staff member claimed she "couldn't see anything," so I was left with no choice but to show her the injury in person -- an experience that was deeply humiliating. To make matters worse, I ended up having time and money at urgent care, where I was diagnosed with burns and skin erosion in different areas, and prescribed treatment. This entire ordeal has been painful, degrading, and completely at odds with the way a regular, loyal client should be treated. Again, this isn't about the technician, as they all have been respectful and professional. This is about a severe failure in customer service -- a lack of compassion, accountability, and basic decency when a client is clearly in distress. I expected much better from a place I had trusted for over a year. I only decided to call to ensure the issue was reported and to find out what could have caused that - as I have got wax services for decades and never had any issues. I wasn't calling to get aggravated and humiliated by the way I was treated on the phone and then in person. So, for that reason, I am only giving this location a 1 start. They need to train their front desk person as she lacks customer service experience.
