Rez Construction worked with us on a complete interior/ exterior remodel on a tight waterfront lot. It was the 'small house' that turned into a much bigger project than we had ever imagined! Reza has worked tirelessly to make our dream home a reality for over two years from two states away, keeping us updated and sending us pictures at every step to explain the process and his decisions. Reza is easy to communicate with and always responsive to our questions and concerns. Looking back, I don't think any other contractor we had interviewed would have been able to pull it off. The prior homeowner had DIY'd it to death, leaving the framing in a terrifying array of electrical wires and 2x4s cobbled together like Jenga blocks. Reza and his framing crew, led by the fearless Pablo, set to work and made it right. Now we can rest easy knowing it is safe, secure and up to code. This meant the scope of the project tripled, and it would be a tremendous amount of time and money, but Reza knew just what to do, and his entire team persevered through the Seattle winter storms, redoing everything from reframing, redoing the roof, installing new windows and doors, and fixing broken sewer pipes and repairing drainage and fixing cracks in the foundation and replacing all the decks, waterproofing an upper patio, and installing new siding; Reza's work is consistently built to last and no corners are cut. There are few people in this world with the patience, perseverance and persistence Reza brings to his work. He has seen our project through countless setbacks, terrible storms, the concrete strike, global supply chain shortages and more than a few days of discovering 'some more bad news'. He can pivot quickly when new constraints arise, and is always solution focused and driven to achieve the best outcome. His project management skills are par none, planning around various project schedules, weather, and coordinating various vendors, subcontractors, installers and delivery dates, he is always working at keeping things moving ahead. Although he has several larger projects going, he truly cares about his customers, and he has always made us feel like a priority. There is no job Rez construction can't do, big or small. We had him design and install a new waterproof room deck (old one began to leak), install new roof, install new windows and doors (he made us custom flashings), install new siding, create drainage, concrete work and much more. Reza's keen eye for engineering quickly identified the areas that were problematic in the home and he rectified the issues. He took his time to send us lots of pictures to explain the situation, and patiently waited as we went back and forth, brainstormed ideas for what we might want to do with this space and researched several products for the unique applications.
