What kind of dance classes do you teach besides salsa or bachata?

RF Dance Also teaches Cumbia and Heels classes. They also offer all the Latin classes in Shines form (just footwork no partners). So u get to choose if u want to start off with just footwork or do both partner work and footwork. Hope this helps :)

AfterHours is an uplifting community environment for adult dancers. With a range of levels from…read moreintroductory basics to advanced, and many styles and instructors to choose from, you will find a teacher for you. As with any group class, give yourself some space to try a few different teachers until you find the one(s) you enjoy the most! The owner, Shawn, and desk staff are friendly and helpful; always happy to answer questions about levels, styles, and instructors. My go to is Arianna Hyatt. She teaches well rounded true to level classes (read the class description and know thyself). She motivates and encourages dancers to meet their goals, whether that is fun, fitness, training for an audition, getting back to dance after a hiatus, or perhaps all of the above. She provides a supportive environment while offering technique, structure, and a little challenge - if that is what you're after. The community she's cultivated within every class is palpable. If you're a beginning/intermediate or advanced level dancer, looking for ballet, broadway, or tap, definitely check the schedule for her. (Double check the level as she teaches a variety.) If you're on the fence, I'd say find any class that interests you at the studio and give it a try!

Recently went back here with my friend to take Beginner Hip Hop and it was so much fun. The format…read morechanged from the last time I went, which was split into half ish--hip hop cardio dance then followed by more focused movements. Current format is more broken down steps, on repeat, then more added to one song. Basically, you're learning a choreography. It's kind of challenging for me. Makes my brain and body work a bit harder to be in sync. There's also an abs section. I do love the new format, but I personally like the nonstop hip hop dance better just because I like nonstop cardio! LOL They offer a lot of classes & the owner is nice, mellow, yet fun personality. She always makes it a point to say our names/greet us. Appreciate that gesture!

I found Smoke & Mirrors Fitness on MindBody app while I was looking for an Aerial studio. I loved…read moregoing to aerial classes prior to the pandemic butt many of my favorite spots went out of business. I was so excited I purchased their New Client Special that wasa 5 Pack of classes for $99. It was only valid for a month. I reserved the Aerial Silks class on a Tuesday evening. Per the usual new studio first visits, arrive a little early to sign their waiver. I arrived about 15 minutes early and there was no staff at the front. There was a bunch of unfilled and filled waivers. Red flags leaving their customer's private personal data laying around like that. I filled out a form but kept it with me until I can hand it to staff. It was a mess of girls rushing out from the prior class and girls rushing in for the next class. Total chaos. I put my things away in a cubby and stood around until some authority person came along. I prefer the studios where you get your own silk, but at this studio they will have you share silks with other students. They divided us into a group of beginners, and another side for the intermediate and advanced students. We started off with stretches. They are super elegant and stretched with grace here. Good form. Then when we began, the instructor would give us a few steps at a time to work on, then we would piece multiple steps together. When I asked the instructor if she can help me take photos she was too busy and told me to ask another student. I paid the studio, not random students who are strangers to me. It might have been fun with a friend but I did not enjoy going alone. Especially when there's stranger armpit sweat on the fabric. Not enjoyable at all. I actually walked out before the end of class cause I was so over it. I considered coming back to another class to use the sessions I pay for. However their class times are limited. Maybe only 2-3 classes after work, but some of those classes are advanced classes or classes I don't have an interest in. While deciding on my rating for this place... a 3 didn't seem like a good fit cause a 3 is average. If it was average I would have at least came back to use the classes I paid for. As someone who goes to a fitness studio for work outs 3-4 days a week, I literally just abandoned the package I paid for and went to another studio where I enjoyed my work outs. To each their own. This place provides niche classes not every studio offers. However the classes are limited and I don't enjoy sharing space with strangers.

I've been to a few classes at Smoke and Mirrors and it really has a lot going for it. The parking…read moreis easy and abundant, there are plenty of crash mats, and they have a water fill up station!! It shocks me how many pole studios view that as optional. If people are sweating, you should have water readily available IMO. Aside from these basic necessities, the studio is gorgeous. The poles are tall and all the ones I've tried have decent spin and seem fairly new. There's instructors here seems kind and I like that there are advanced beginner classes so you can level up from beginner before intermediate/advanced. I only wish they were a little less expensive but I like that they offer deals for new students. Hope to keep coming back here to continue my pole journey.
