MARISA Vella Thornton answered the phone and literally has no costumer service training at all. Not only did she ramble on speaking negatively about the current tenant not calling her back but had the audacity to hang up on me immediately after telling me how stressed she was. I called back and a male answered the phone only to cover up for her by saying " i believe she's on another called". Despite the fact that i just spoke to her right before she hung up on me with aggression. This company is very unprofessional and I would be cautious before thinking about doing business with them.

Hiring Longview Properties lowered by stress, and increased my confidence in being a landlord. They own their own properties, so they understand what's important to both, the landlord, as well as a tenants. They are easy to communicate with, and they know the tenants by name (they are not just another unit number). Most impressive though is that they put themselves in your shoes, and do what you would want to have done - one example, when driving by the property on a weekend, of a fall afternoon, I saw Mike (the owner of Longview Properties) blowing leaves - when I asked him what he was doing, his response was that he would not spend $600 for 30 minutes of landscaping work, regardless of it was his property on mine. It's that level of customer service that it's extremely rare to find anywhere else.

Instead of checking this beforehand, I wasted hours waiting, then had to hire and pay for my own locksmith to regain access. The worst part? Management still tried to bill me for a "service call," even though they provided no solution and left me locked out until I fixed the issue myself. Rather than taking responsibility, they deflected blame onto the prior owner and me as the new resident--showing zero accountability and no interest in actually solving the problem. This company demonstrates poor preparation, poor communication, and no sense of customer service. If you value your time, money, or basic professionalism, look elsewhere for property management.

Fantastic value for the money - the units are huge (we are in a 2b2b that is almost 1400 sq ft) and…read morerelatively new. Not as modern as some of the other apartment buildings we saw, but the size of our unit more than makes up for it. Management is relatively quick to respond to issues. I moved in July 10. Since then, we have had issues getting maintenance orders responded to in a timely manner (took about a week to repair the broken washer), though management communicated it was due to the head of maintenance being out so they were understaffed. Another issue I've noticed is with recycling - there is a large compactor at the entrance of the community that is absolutely chock full. So full that people had no choice but to place their recycling outside resulting in a huge pile of cardboard. The biggest issue is the package room. Every single building in the community has their own package room - but packages are extremely commonly delivered to the incorrect building, so it becomes a game of checking each building for your package. Overall I still have enjoyed living here so far, but it definitely has its quirks.

RENTERS BEWARE! My boyfriend and I signed an application via Phil Ragusa on a Friday for a complex…read moreon Schoosett Street in Pembroke. The unit reeked of cigarettes, but we were assured it would be thoroughly cleaned before we (non-smokers with small children) move-in. He repeatedly told us that the complex used "to have a lot of riff raff, but the new landlord chased them all out" and we were "just the kind of people" the landlord wanted. Fine, the complex was in a location we liked. We then paid a fee, half months rent, through Venmo to Boston Premier. Per Phil's instructions it was sent as a regular payment, not as "goods and services". Later we found out we got the apartment. However; over the weekend our circumstances changed and on Monday we let him know we no longer were interested. He told us he'd let the landlord know and get back to us. On the return call he let us know the landlord was "extremely upset" and would not be returning our fee (over 1k). The landlord or management company was never identified. We had never met the landlord or signed a lease. Just were told our application was accepted, which is odd as to my knowledge landlords aren't allowed to accept application fees and we paid Boston Premier. Any attempt to get the company to clarify or give us a receipt was met with silence. I left a negative review on Yelp to alert other potential renters and moved on. 20 days later Phil found the review and proceeded to contact my boyfriend to get it taken down. To my knowledge he has both our contact information, but chose to reach out to him instead. When asked why Boston Premier never responded to my email he claimed that the email, which is the one found on the website and the email our applications were sent from, was defunct and nobody checked that. At this time we are supposedly receiving half of our "fee" (still no receipt or clarification) back after he "fought for us" with "the landlord" and he still wants this taken down. I wouldn't know for sure though. The "landlord" who is holding our money is a mystery. No one has contacted me personally. Just the male in my life.
