I booked an appointment with Scott/A cut above and the windows/times were very flexible. It was nice to have very specific directions for drop off/pick up. There was a bit of an issue in terms of the timeline and communication at first as my knife took longer than expected however, it was resolved and I would say customer service was great and I feel confident that I will recommend him and his work after picking up my knife last week. For context, it's the first chefs knife that I ever made so she's not sleek with machinery-grade perfection and I had the knife in storage for a while when I was travelling and also moving so there was quite a bit of wear, tear, and rust. When I unwrapped the knife, I was so happy with the results. He really put work and love into what he does and it shows. Fight the urge to run your thumb across the blade - I looked and my thoughts wanted to but I decided...let's cut up some chicken instead and it slices like a hot knife through cold butter.
