St. Croix is where it's happ'n & Rhythm's is that spot that's a must go to! Ocean view while eating lunch/dinner. Want a drink or cocktail they have it. Super reasonable prices & good service. Food, was so flavorful & tasty. I got "2 chicken jerk taco's w/side of pasta" & Bff got "jerk pork platter w/bed of rice. The food just had that Caribbean taste & flavor for days. Dinner cost $32 which is not bad @ all, for dinner, drinks, Deseret. Must try the chocolate rum cake w/whip cream on the side. Delicious. I come here all the time to grab a drink or two and watch the sunset. This place has the most beautiful sunsets, so that is mainly why I keep coming back. Their pina coladas tastes terrible!! Sadly this is what I normally get when I come here and every time it tastes disgusting. I think it is because they Never refrigerate the cream of coconut. Now, the food here is nothing to write home about either. what do you expect from a bar right? There are a lot of reasons to go to Rhythms at Rainbow Beach. The beach itself has a great vibe (I would rate the beach a 5 out of 5). It is a little rocky just off shore, but way less than most other beaches on the West End of the Island. The bar makes really strong yet tasty drinks here, and you can bring your drinks onto the beach and into the water with you. They rent chairs and umbrellas for relaxing. Two chairs and an umbrella was $20 for the whole day. They people working there will also be glad to carry the chairs to your spot and set up the umbrella for you. Watch out for a sunken cinder block or two sunken towards the south side of the beach. We saw someone smash their foot fairly bad into them. If you see a guy selling coconut carvings on the beach here check him out for sure. He does great work and charges much less than you would find them for anywhere else. read more

Easily one of the top 5 views from the deck of a Bar/grill on the island. We only had drinks and a appetizer, but enjoyed every second. Some of the complaints I see are just stupid. Of course parking is hectic. It is right on the road and the beach is on the other. What do you want? Some huge paved area cut out of the beautiful natural area?? Geez you have the most beautiful view in the world. This place is great, just like so many others on this island. Go there and you will love it. read more

Great location right on beautiful Rainbow Beach. Very friendly and inviting beach bar where you can get a nice cold drink or drinks and some very decent food. Friendly bartender and servers an added plus. I know I should be writing more but for vacation spots I tend to either just recommend or not recommend and this place I definitely recommend for a beach day lunch or drink. read more

Great ambiance, tasty food and good drinks! We got what we came for and were very pleased with our experience at all levels.

Perfect escape from a long day playing in the ocean under the hot sun. Rhythms is located on beautiful Rainbow Reach. They provide great tunes and generously offer up their bathrooms for beach goers. We stopped in later in the day to just grab some shade and appetizers. We opted for their chicken strips with Thai chili and soft pretzel sticks. Very simple food but it hit the spot. The Thai chili was sweet not spicy and the pretzels came with everyone's favorite... gooey nacho cheese for dipping. They have a full bar and is crowd with a mix of young partygoers doing shots and retired folks just sipping daiquiris. read more

Ordered some loaded fries and fried shrimp for starters. Rum punch was strong but not as flavorful as I would have liked. Spicy margarita was on point and I had 3 over the 5 hours between lunch and the beach. Fish tacos were fresh and food and service were both great!! read more

I am a senior citizen with a service dog. on March 14th I was forced to leave the restaurant by the owner, Randy, because of his "no dogs allowed" policy. I informed him that my dog was a service dog and that, under the Americans with Disabilities Act, he was required by law to allow us entry. He very loudly ordered me and my service dog out of the restaurant citing his "no dogs allowed" policy while following me out in a threatening and abusive manner. West is the Best. The New Rainbow Beach is a pleasant surprise. I'm delighted that the legacy of Phil, and Mumbles, and Mole and Kit Carson and the rest of us is in good hands. Excellent food, and way more beach amenities than ever. I remember when it only had a ping pong table (before Phil bought the place), but it was the ONLY one on the island. I don't think it's allowed to get as crazy as it did back when I lived at this bar.. I wish this crew the very best luck and success. read more

I love this beach! It was so pretty and calm. I can see how this place could get really packed though since the beach isn't that big, and only one restaurant located on the beach. I didn't eat at this restaurant, but the pizza I was smelling was very tempting. As for the bar, it is pretty spacious with tons of island style drinks! read more

Shout out to Erika, the best waitress ever! She recommended the frozen lime and coconut drinks and they were unbeatable. Don't miss these! This place was the most lively and fun bar/restaurant we have seen on the island. On Rainbow beach, there was sand volleyball, cornhole, and water sports! Sunday Funday is the best time! We also ended up eating lunch there and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Highly recommend the Philly cheesesteak! So cheesy and delicious, add mushrooms! read more

Rainbow Beach is as good as it gets for limin' on the West end for so many reasons. I would say it's my favorite beach bar. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and their burgers are my favorite. They serve standard beach bar fare: fried appetizers, salads, locally caught fresh fish, all at reasonable prices. The kitchen closes early- at 7pm. The bartenders are all very friendly and laid back. On busy cruise ship days it might take a little while to get a drink but once it's your turn they serve you with a smile and a strong pour. As always, if you're a beer drinker don't forget to bring your cozy with you where ever you go. Not only are the drinks strong and food great, but the view is fantastic from any seat at the bar or on the patio. Also, you can catch live music every Sunday from 3-7 and other special occasions. The beach is big and there is a volleyball net set up all the time. The snorkeling is pretty good for beginners~ I saw my first school of fish not far from the Rainbow Beach shore. On cruise ship days(and other days too) the guys from Ride Red Jet Ski Rentals are happy to rent you Jet Skis (of course), kayaks, snorkeling gear, or even ATVs to ride in the rainforest. They have a little tent set up right there on the beach! I like the atmosphere and chill vibes I get when I hang out there .I also like the fact they they don't stay open late. If you're looking for a nice beach, good food and drink, and local flavor, go to Rainbow Beach. And watching the sun set over the water isn't so bad either. :) read more

Do you like the idea of sipping cheap-yet-strong Rum Punches while watching sea turtles catch their breath amongst the turquoise waves? This shanty-style beach bar will fit your bill. The menu looked attractive, though I only went in for a salad, simply because I was in the mood for something real light. It was pretty much what you'd expect a tossed salad to be. However, apparently they are having live music and kids-oriented educational stuff tomorrow (Sunday) all afternoon so I will probably get the Lobster Tacos if they still have them on the specials board. Or hell, some kind of seafood tacos. At the time I was there, a Korean couple sat next to me wanting non alcoholic drinks, but their English was broken and they had trouble understanding the menu. Their server was very patient, explaining that Blue Lemonades were in fact alcoholic and also explaining what a colada and a daiquiri were multiple times. Having been a server for a few years myself, I know what a PITA these awkward moments are, but the server handled them with grace, even though this probably happens to her all the time. My only complaint was that the drinks and salad dressing were served in disposable plastic cups. Just seems like a tragedy waiting to happen when you are practically right over the water and the beach wind is blowing your empty cups around. I wish at the time I had the forethought to ask my second drink be made using the same cup as the first one. Please be generally aware of your surroundings and understand that fragile ecosystems and plastic don't mix. That's how you get dead turtles and literal islands of trash in these otherwise beautiful and pristine waters. read more

Was lucky enough to spend the day here while on a cruise in January 2016. We still talk about the food a year later...amazing! Great beach area although I did have to buy water shoes at their shop due to a recent storm which brought in tons of huge rocks (not the norm according to people we spoke to). Shrimp were perfectly seasoned with Caribbean spices and chowder was delightful - you can tell they use the freshest ingredients. A small bar was set up right on the beach. Tasty drinks, great food, fun music, clearest water with gorgeous views...what more can you ask for? read more

We really enjoyed dinner at rhythms. It's a classic beach bar and grill. My wife had lobster tacos and I had the catch of the day sandwich. Both were very good -i think I thought the lobster tacos were the better of the two. We,also had onion rings on the side and I thought they were rock solid. Rainbow beach isn't very big but it is pretty with nice sand. Definitely worth a trip if end up on west side of island! read more

This is a mixed review. 3 for the food 5 for the bar. When we walked into the bar we were a little taken back. It was packed and well, the decor was a little on the spartan side but heck it's on the beach so we walked in and glad we did. It's what you'd expect - it has beautiful views from almost every angle and everyone is in beach attire (good and bad). The drinks were good and tasty and reasonably priced. I think someone wrote to keep with the rum punch so I did - it was very good. The food was OK but this is a bar on a beach. Nothing fancy. We had the chicken nachos (we love trying chicken nachos), wings, and mozzarella sticks. The sticks were decent but they look a little like the frozen variety - not trying to be a mozz snob, just letting you know that's what they probably are; there's nothing wrong with decent frozen sticks. The wings were good standard wings. The chicken nachos were a little odd but I wouldn't be afraid to order them again - they are a large portion, the chicken was good but the biggest downer was that they came with your standard Philly/South Jersey Cheez Wiz or at least that's what I thought it was. Not that Cheez Wiz is bad, just I wasn't expecting that in St. Croix - Philly, sure but at Rainbow Beach, it was surprise. We did polish off all of the food. So - would I go back? 100% yes. Would I order food there? 100% yes. Would I order drinks there (dumb question)... If you are going to Rainbow Beach, you are eating and drinking here. You won't regret it and probably will have a blast. Just don't expect great food - expect a great time, great views, great drinks and some decent grub. read more

Bathing suit ? Flip flops ? No problem. This very laid back casual, place has excellent handmade cocktails (Mango Mojito) veggie burgers, as well as other vegetarian/ vegan options. The carmelized cauliflower was amazing. My husband loved his burger. The servings are plentiful and freshly made. The ocean view is stunning and the servers are polite and friendly. It's fairly affordable as island pricing goes. You can grab a drink and head right over to Rainbow Beach, down the stairs, then come back after a few hours in the sun for more refreshments ! read more

We visited Rhythms on the recommendation of local Cruzans. The location is breathtaking, especially at sunset, and the food is delicious. Drinks were good, too. The service was outstanding! Lauren was our server and she was very friendly and attentive, even though she was tending to a large family group. My husband and I visited here while vacationing at the Renaissance Carambola. We arrived when they opened and were greeted immediately. We ordered the slushy alcoholic beverages, which were pretty tasty. We also ordered fish tacos and the chicken cheesesteak. Both meals were delicious and left us wanting more. It's right on the beach, so you can eat and enjoy the view and take a swim afterward if you'd like. They also rent chairs and snorkelling gear there. I definitely recommend giving this place a try when you visit the island. read more

I have been going here for 25+ years and it is without a doubt the BEST BAR on the West End of St Croix. To kill for sunset views. Cool bar, laid back, mostly locals. I have no idea why they changed the name to Rythms, as it is known to everyone in the planet who has been there as Rainbow Beach in F'sted. Forget Rythms it makes no sense at all. Best Burgers, cool locals...read the paper, have a pop and enjoy. Cap'n Dick here... I used to fly a 727 right down the West Coast at 500' "they knew it was me" and the beer would be ready after a postflight inspection. read more
