Food and service far exceeded our expectations. We had the ribs and wet brisket. Both were amazing.

Stopped in for lunch. We had the feast for one and split it. Ribs, chicken and pulled pork and brisket. The meat was cooked perfectly! Ribs fell off the bone, chicken was juicy, pulled pork was moist and tender and the brisket was juicy and very tender. That's the good. We are used to a more robust flavor in our BBQ. The meat without any sauce was not flavorful. The Cole slaw was ok, pretty much just chopped up cabbage, not sweet nor tangy. Over all it was ok. We left full and not upset so if you want a decent meal, this is definitely a good spot. Service was courteous and attentive, ambiance was cozy. read more

I've been there twice, both times were to get a to go order and were very long wait times. Today I placed an order to go, went out and waited on the porch for about 20 minutes. When I came back in to check on the order, I was asked did I order baked potatoes. I said yes and she said, Oh well, we're out. Their customer service needs some serious training. I'll be going out of the way to use the Blairsville restaurant moving forward because they have great customer service and it doesn't take an entire hour to get the order, that's if you get it, because they might be out of whatever you order and you won't know until you've already waited half an hour. read more

Stopped in to Rib Country for an early lunch on a Saturday. I arrived at 11:05 and had to triple check their hours as there was no one else in the parking lot. Not surprisingly, I was the only person in the restaurant when I was seated too. My server quickly got my drink and returned shortly after to get my order. I wanted a hot dog but I also wanted to try their brisket so I ordered a brisket sandwich (sliced and "dry") plate with a kid's dog on the side. Food came out relatively quickly. The brisket plate just looked...boring...lacking...I'm not sure. You can judge for yourself in the photo. Maybe I was hoping for my fries or some sort of seasoning on the fries. Alas, no. The dog and the bun had both been well charred on a grill which was great to see. I snuck some of the brisket from the sandwich, chopped it up, and loaded up my dog with it. For a DIY concoction it was pretty great. I'd add it to your menu, Rib Country. :) The BBQ sandwich was good. I liked their standard sweet sauce the best though the mustard had good tang. Fries were disappointing. You've got all those seasonings in the back for your bbq, throw some of your fries! This is probably a 3.5 star review in reality. Have had excellent food at this restaurant the past two times we visited. Yesterday we decided to stop for a late lunch. We walked inside and waited for someone to seat us but a server in the back part of the restaurant gave us a wave which we interpreted that she would be right with us. As she approached the check-in station, I stepped forward to wait and she said to me: "Please step back" in a very directive tone of voice, while she was reaching for the menus. I was totally blown away by her rudeness, so I turned to my husband and said, "Let's go" and walked out the door. He hadn't heard her, so I explained when we got in the car. He was surprised but understood my reaction so we left and went to another restaurant down the road. This young lady needs some customer courtesy training, and we might come here again but this was not a good start to having a nice meal this time so hope this review will be seen by management to correct. read more

I had a great experience with this 4-5 store mini-chain. Convenient parking, clean interior, seated immediately, brought water. I chose their Brunswick Stew and Peach Cobbler with ice cream. I ordered a to go order. I had to wait 30 extra minutes for my order. I ordered 3 tender dinners grilled with different sides. The tenders were burned severely... like I ordered chicken jerky. OMG, this place is so good....Mark was our server and he was amazing....the food was so good and they give you so much...we had the Fried Green tomatoes to start..My husband had the smoked Chicken Wings and I had the pull pork sandwich......the were so good... Had the BEST brisket salad from this spot tonight! It was tasty, fresh, and a good amount of food for the price. I think my parents were a little caught off guard by their Burnt Ends salads- the burnt ends came smothered in a barbecue sauce (unlike my brisket which just was dry rubbed). I think for a salad they would prefer no barbecue sauce on the burnt ends, which is not typically how burnt ends come served in our experience. Overall, great salads. I have tried 4 times to call in an order. Twice it rang to some voice mail..... the other two times, someone answered the phone and immediately hung up. If you are so busy that you can't take a to go order, maybe you should just put that message on an answering machine! My dad is very selective on what he will eat. I am a self-proclaimed bbq (ribs and pulled pork, specifically ) expert. If you like real southern style ribs, pulled pork and fixins, this is the place !!! Best ribs I've had at a restaurant, hands down! Their pulled pork and bbq sauce, delightful! Their baked beans clearly baked on an oven with all the extras like I do. And their coleslaw, yummy, most people make yucky cole slaw. The servings were whopper-sized, I had to take about half the pulled pork back to the airbnb, but the ribs could not be postponed, had to eat every delicious, messy bite. Friday, August 28 around 11:45 am. We have family in Hayesville and usually come here 2-3 times per year for the past several years. I remembered it as being decent, not amazing, BUT I had to write a review because this is the best bbq lunch we have had in a long time! We ordered lunch to go and only had to wait a few minutes once we arrived and paid. I ordered the pulled pork lunch plate, and hubs ordered the turkey lunch plate. At the counter before paying, we noticed the fried pies and succumbed to the temptation and added one to our order. Everything was delicious!! Turkey and pork were tender, not dried out, our sides were cole slaw and French fries, great! And the fried apple pie was amazing! Especially since we previously visited a not too distant orchard in Balsam, NC, and their apple turnovers were extremely disappointing. Nice recovery for my baked-apple-something hankering. Good service, though some of the young ladies touched their face wayyyyy too much for the comfort of this germaphobe. My way of handling this is wiping all the containers with disinfectant wipes. Maybe not necessary, but it makes me feel better. Anyway, you should definitely order food from here. My husband and I were very impressed with their quality, especially in these days when eating out has become mostly a string of disappointing experiences.
