This review is from my husband based on last nights experience, the restaurant was NOT busy: First, it took the waitress 10 minutes to come to our table. Then it took her about another 10 minutes to come back with bread and drinks, but we were left with no silverware. She finally came to take our order. It took 15 minutes for our side salads to come out, and another 20 minutes before the steaks came. And, it wasn't even our server that brought them. The food was ice-cold. She did not refill our drinks. It was another server that did that as well. They put our steaks into to-go containers and went to cook new steaks. After 20 minutes, the manager brought those to us. We were at this place for an hour and a half, and the server came to our table about 4 times. If it weren't for another server in a different section, we wouldn't have gotten any help. She sure was attentive to tables with 4+ ppl. Hmmm, I guess she didn't care about our 2 ppl tip. Sad that she ruined an opportunity for a father and son to enjoy dinner together. read more

Husband ordered a medium rare hamburger and was brought a hamburger with a cold, raw center. Server said he should've ordered it medium. This is ridiculous- any decent steakhouse should know the difference between raw and medium rare. Manager made no appearance, no offer to comp appetizers and husband got to sit watching other guests eat and took his home because it was served after we were finished. Seriously? The interior was of a typical steakhouse themed restaurant but appeared very clean. The appetizer was Wild West Shrimp which was shrimp with spicy peppers and bell peppers, which you could make a meal out of. I had the special, Pepper Crusted New York Strip, which was delicious (highly recommend)!! My wife had the 6oz Filet which was tender and had a good flavor. We definitely enjoyed our first outing of our visit from Birmingham Alabama for my daughter's 12th Birthday! Our food was absolutely amazing, fresh, & hot! Our desserts were fresh! Our order came out correct the first time around exactly how we asked for everything. We didn't have to send anything back. The manager Terry Holton was very welcoming at the door greeting us & welcoming us in. Our proud server Tabitha P was so nice! Tabitha was very funny as well as fast! This restaurant is ALWAYS consistent with the quality of the food, the service, and the cleanliness. I just wish they would take reservations for large groups. Since they always have a long waiting line, I guess they don't need to, but it would be really nice if you have 8 or 10 people. But we will just go there when we don't have larger groups. read more

I waited tables myself and cannot believe I am criticizing a waitperson because I always give them the benefit of the doubt (busy, kitchen issues, etc) but the woman here tonight acts offended that I came in to sit down and eat. I tip waiters 40 percent if they are pleasant and halfway attentive. But this waiter I'll tip her 20 percent because I can't bring myself to do any less. It's Sunday night and maybe she's had a really rotten day. But I just hope management discusses this email with its staff. My guess is management will know which waiter this was the minute they read this. read more

6/11/23- Arrived at the restaurant at 5:00pm with a party of 4. Upon entry we noticed about 5-6 straw wrappers on the floor. There were two host at the stand. We were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. Walking through the restaurant to our booth, we noticed filthy floors and 3 tables that were not cleaned, just piles with dirty dishes. They were not short on staff at all so that couldn't be an excuse. The tables remained dirty until there was people that needed to be seated. The food was fine except for my fiancés steak. Once he ate through it he had to send back as it was pretty raw inside. Our server did a good job. No complaints there. Definitely the manager needs to do a better job to oversee the cleanliness of the restaurant. read more

After hiking all day and driving an hour and half to this Longhorn and looking forward to a large steak, this place, with a stroke, ruined the night. I asked for a medium steak and what I received looked like the grill master (term used very loosely here) breathed on the steak and slapped it on my plate. I go to steakhouses because they USUALLY know how to grill a steak correctly. And Longhorn used to be known for it, not anymore it would seem (at least at the Blaireville location). Every time I order from this location curbside service is terrible. What's the point in calling ahead or ordering ahead of time just to be made to wait for an additional 30 minutes to pick up!!! If you don't have enough staff how bout not offering curbside service? I am not unsympathetic however when you advertise what you can not deliver on it wrong. For the price you pay for the quality of the food here it's not anything extravagant and still can't deliver curbside. On Saturday, April 11th, my wife and I specifically chose this Longhorn Steakhouse to enjoy a great steak that we always know is delicious, while celebrating our 33rd Wedding Anniversary. We were spending the weekend in the mountains (Staying in Hiawassee) and had been exploring when we decided to eat our dinner early (around 4:00). The service was spectacular and we placed our order, receiving our drinks and appetizers rather quickly. We both ordered Porterhouse Steaks; she prefers hers Medium Rare, while I take mine Rare. When the plates arrived, you could tell right away that hers had been singed longer on one side than the other (which had been turned and placed on the bottom), while mine was singed and delivered in the same fashion. Although my steak was not how I prefer to eat a 38 dollar steak, I was starving and began digging in. My wife's however, was cooked completely through showing zero pinkness in the middle (it was well-done). When she tried to eat it, I noticed she wasn't happy. I suggested we speak with the manager, as we very rarely ever complain about our food. But this was our 33rd anniversary and she and I both ordered the "best" steaks in the house, so technically, they should be cooked the "best", as well, right? The manager came and my wife very politely explained and showed her why we had a complaint...she agreed that the steak had been way over cooked and took the singed meat away and later returned with a Ribeye that was cooked to perfection. By the time it had arrived, we had already completed our salads, my steak, our appetizers and bread, so Sherry could only consume a small portion, so we requested some to go boxes to take the rest of her steak back to our hotel. On the way back to our hotel (35 minute drive), she began to feel sick. When we arrived, she had to go lie down and took some nausea medicine, which didn't help. After cycling through several trips to the restroom, we decided to stay in for the rest of the night. The following morning, she continued to have diarrhea, with the worst "soured" stomach (sulfur gas smelling burps that were so strong she gagged) she's had in years. We had to extend our departure time for checkout, as after I went and purchased her some additional stomach meds, we were able to at least head for our home after staying an additional 2 hours. The leftover steak had been placed in the room's refrigerator and then in our cooler to take home to eat later. Essentially, we had to cut our trip early due to her mysterious stomach disorder. The left over steak remained in our fridge the rest of Sunday and I decided to take it to work for lunch the following day. Here's where we feel we solved the mystery of what was causing her continued stomach illness, as after I finished it off Monday for lunch at 12:30, I became deathly sick, having to run to the toilet on three (3) occasions before I could leave for the day (from about 1:05 until 4:00). I had to stop on the way home (we live an hour from my school) and purchase some additional anti-diarrhea medicine. Today is Thursday and my wife is still having diarrhea and a soured stomach, while I have finally gotten over my stomach issues. My brother owns a family restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee and after we shared our story, he revealed that we may have fell victims to an eccentric chef who became angry when his manager returned the most expensive steak on their menu...stating the chef may have adulterated (intentionally added something to make us sick) her steak, which happens more often across the country than one would think. I questioned my brother's accusation, but then did some research and was informed that adulteration does, in fact, happen and it was the only thing that made since; I mean, there is no way that the Longhorn Steakhouse Company would intentionally serve anyone a piece of "bad" meat, that would just never happen. So we can only assume that it was intentionally done by the chef. Obviously can't "prove" this, and certainly aren't looking for compensation, but if she doesn't improve, I plan to take her to see our family doctor tomorrow, who will run tests on her feces (the food has already been consumed), which will certainly still reveal if there any foreign micro-bodies in her stool. If something is found, I will then pursue a criminal intent complaint, as I know your restaurant would never accept this type of behavior from one of your chefs. In the meantime, if the nice lady manager who helped us last Saturday (April 11th) would like to investigate on her own, check with the chef, maybe they will own up to their action or can be caught in their own lie, then an action can be taken without our complaint to the Blairsville Sheriff's Department. I hate to have someone fired and would never attempt to have someone fired without probable cause...but if they did this intentionally and my wife has had to suffer now for six (6) days, I believe this chef should not be cooking for the public... read more

Looked nice inside. Waited to be greeted by a hostess for about 10 minutes, no greeting came, she silently seated us. Asked if it was her first day, she should greet customers. She replied she had worked there a year. Menu looked good. Ordered Caesar salad, French onion soup, and famous mac and cheese. My partner ordered the ribeye and salad. He like the salad, the ribeye was tough and full of gristle. My Caesar came with no dressing and no cheese. The soup was luke warm and OK. The mac and cheese was made with Velveeta. Yuck. I am usually Longhorn biggest fan but today was a bust. Can in to order a strawberry shortcake dessert to go. The To-go attendant flat out told me it would take 30min to get it. We had dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. My niece called and made a reservation the wait time was 30 to 45 minutes. We browsed a nearby Aldi while we waited. There were 12 of us, not long after leaving Aldi, we got a text that our table was ready. Longhorn was really crowded, but it didn't take long for some of our party to get their food. I had fried chicken tenders, with a salad and mashed potatoes (you can almost never go wrong with ordering chicken)Our waitress Chyanne got two of the orders mixed up, and had to get the manager.The orders that were wrong ordered steak, which is ALMOST always a problem. One steak was asked to be butterflied, well. The other order was for medium well, it was well done. Everyone had gotten their food, and my niece's food still had not been brought out. It's Longhorn! A veery average steakhouse chain. Why is there always such a long wait at this place? The steaks are ok, but doused in some seasoning that overpowers the whole thing, and actually got me sick. On a subsequent visit, I asked for light seasoning, which worked out better. Servers were always very nice, and responsive. Food comes out fairly quick. Beer is ice cold, and some draft specials are typical. Salad is fresh, never finding any yucky pieces. Use the app to waitlist before arrival. That seems to help a little. read more

We go to this restaurant since there are so few restaurants in Blairsville. Tonight's dinner was probably the worse dinner I have ever had in a restaurant. In spite of calling ahead we waited 90 minutes. Once seated by an unprofessional hostess, my salmon over rice was cold and the broccoli was basically uncooked. My husband's pork chops were so tough he could only manage to eat one of the three. He ordered a sweet potato as his side only to be told 30 minutes later that they had none. The restaurant had very little staff. Why open your restaurant if you cannot serve your customers? Frankly this dinner made me so nauseated that we will not return. I will wage a complaint with corporate offices. This is an embarrassment to Blairsville. read more

I've been to a lot of steakhouses, from Peter Luger in Brooklyn and Great Neck NY to a Medieval Restaurant in Spain and Texas Road house. Is my quest for the perfect steak. I have also been to a lot of Longhorn Restaurants, including the one in Ellijay GA. My advice: don't go to any steak house in California, especially Texas Road House. Californians can cook a good hamburger but they can't cook a good steak to save their lives. However if you are in North Central Georgia, specifically Blairsville GA visit this Longhorn. Order the ribeye rare or medium rare at most. Is incredible. I hope they don't loose the cook. He's not just a chef, he or she is a real Grill Master. The cut is not prime beef but it might as well be. The service is tops, and the prices are reasonable, especially compared to places like Peter Luger. read more

The Steaks here are delicious, the Mac and cheese is fire, and the Texas tonion is to die for! The staff are extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and great for a rainy night! The only thing dragging this place down to a 4 star is the wait time, although this place can be pretty quick when it's slow. First of all- we have never eaten there but gave it a try with some friends. The Server was great but food was disappointing. Got a salad, good, got the entre- me and hubby sharing a rib eye...ordered M/R got it rare, OK no problem, but we could not cut it - it was so tough and full of grizzle and white membranes. Server took it back to get a recook on a new one, Came back in 3 min with a less than 1/2" thick ( breakfast steak ) that was tasty but almost well done. Should have sent 1st one back and ordered shrimp... lesson learned - do not go to longhorn for rib eyes. Bad quality meat- Charge me $5-8 more and give me a PRIME steak. Also the asparagus was huge and RAW - could only eat an inch or so of the tips. HATE to complain when out with friends really - but never again !!!! read more

Just moved to area and thought we would give this place a try. Know it is a chain restaurant but had never ate there before. Ordered sirloin steak and wife ordered the chicken strips. Chicken strips were way over cooked and the steak tasted like they dumped a whole shaker of salt in it Baked potato was good , service was good but food quality lacked. As a chain this location is a hit n miss. Latest visit saw the place at about 20-25% capacity having customers wait 20 minutes for a table. I'm assuming staff challenges but truthfully, this doesn't seem accurate. Prices are on the upper scale, food is good but great? Value is questionable. Clean, staff is friendly, our server was. The staff about barley took notice of anyone. I'm a steak lover and we don't have many options in our neck of the woods. They have really good steak and I love to add the parmesan crust to the top. Absolutely delicious. Also love that they're salads are always fresh looking and come out really cold. I go to the Longhorn in Citrus Park and love our local bartenders there. Their lighting is dim, but obviously that depends on the person but to me, I like the dim lighting read more

It was a huge deal when Blairsville got a Longhorn a few years ago. Since it opened I've eaten there 3 times and each time it was a disappointment. The food has been a disappointment every time but let's set that aside. My biggest complaint happened the last time I was there in June 2024. We arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon- not typically a busy time (I wouldn't think). We could see that there were many empty tables. Nevertheless we were told there was a 20 minute wait. After 20 minutes they said they still couldn't seat us because one person out of our party had not arrived (we were a party of two waiting for a third person). What!.!? They couldn't seat the two of us after we waited 20 minutes? It was at that point that I realized that Longhorn doesn't really care about their customers. I'll never go again.
