We have been here several times but sometimes forget to drop in as it's kind of tucked back behind other businesses. You may want to call ahead if you're interested in a specific kind of meat, today they were out of turkey (darn pandemic supply chain problems). Like much of the country we are having a heat wave, let me tell you they have great air conditioning! If you're hot, come on in and cool down! Oh yeah, there is great food too. We were in for lunch, my wife had ribs and a salad and I had a smoky sandwich with fries. Let me say they have really great fries, lightly seasons, nice and crisp, not mushy or soggy. The meat was flavorful and smoky but not over-smoked. You could still taste the meat and it did not need to be drowned in sauces. RibCrib serves their soft drinks in large oversized branded soft plastic cups they encourage you to take them home if you wish. They offered to refill our drinks as we were getting ready to leave which is common in the south and midwest, some places in other parts of the country would not offer it or make it inconvenient if you ask for a to-go drink. Had an order on May 31st at the Joplin Rib Crib takeout order got home wasn't even close to my order called and talked to the manager he said he would refund it I have yet to receive that refund it is now June 4th very poor representation of customer service call talk to the manager he said I swear I put that in still haven't got my refund read more

Chicken fried steak and nachos are great. Tried chicken salad and other sliced meats, but they were very dry.

They just missed getting five stars. They wrap of the sliced smoked chicken breast. I was really disappointed but they gave me an extra helping of the pork. The only thing I wish to say had more selection of barbecue sauces they had only one on the table and didn't quite like it. The service was great considering we rolled in there after 9:00 p.m. . Seems like all the RibCribs bbq are the same in taste which is a good thing. Always a great place to eat at with friendly waitress all times. The bbq ribs here are as good as it gets. You got a choice of baby backs or spareribs. The baby backs are my go to from here. The sides are always great as well. The beans and coleslaw are on point. We haven't been here in years because they served us glorified cold lunch meat. But, we decided to give it another shot, I really don't know why. I ordered a 2 meat plate, ribs and chopped brisket. My partner ordered the Carolina pulled pork sandwich. Mine was cold, and lacked all the distinct flavors of bbq. Really just tasted like like cat food smells, which was super off putting. Surprisingly the beans were good and the Mac and cheese wasn't bad. My partner didn't mind the the sandwich, and really enjoyed the fries. Which were fresh. He always eats my extras and after a try, wasn't interested in eating any of mine lol. I also ordered peach cobbler which came right from the cooler and was RAW. I put it in the microwave and I still couldn't eat the pastry part. I just dug around and ate the peaches. I definitely will not be going here again. We stopped in tonight to have a big family dinner. My sisters, brother and some extended family. They did not bat an eye at the size of our group, they immediately sat us upon arrival. Our server did an excellent job navigating around our table taking orders. We also had a child with us and they had her meal out in about 5 minutes! Yay! All our food came out fresh and hot! The sauces they had, a mild and a hot, were acceptable. The sweet and smokey beans were very good. The potato salad was nothing spectacular. We were starving when we stopped by The RibCrib. It smelled fabulous on the walk inside. Nice atmosphere and we were seated immediately. Menu is your typical BBQ joint menu. I ordered the the 2 meat lunch special with brisket and pulled pork with a side of cole slaw. My husband ordered the three meats meal with Mac n cheese and cole slaw. The side are too small and the meat portions are small for the price. The BBQ is okay but definitely smells better than it taste. No true smokey flavor. Sauce is needed which I feel is not necessary if meats are smoked adequately. Have been to a Rib Crib in Branson before & decided to try the one in Joplin, since we were in town. Went last night & got seated right away. Waitress was very attentive & friendly - checked on us quite a bit & made sure we had refills. That being said... the wet nap that we got at the end of the meal was actually warmer than the meat on the plates. DH got pork & brisket, I got pork & chicken - & it was all luke warm (room temperature if we were lucky). As it was a Saturday night & they were getting busier (& we were really hungry), we decided not to send it back. When the waitress came for the money, we gave her a pretty generous tip, but made sure that she knew about the temperature problem. She said that should would pass it along to the manager. Would love to give you 5 stars but had 2 negatives. The sides were so so. The potato salad looks like mashed potatoes. The coleslaws taste wasn't good. Now the onion rings were really good; sweet batter and very crunchy. Now on to the best: the ribs were very good: falling off the bone, rub was just right. The brisket was tender and no fat! Went to Joplin Rib Crib for all you can eat ribs and it was really good. We had both baby back ribs and St. Louis with the sides we wanted. Both ribs were so tender they fell off the bone & left them clean. Flavor of dry rub was great didn't need sauce. Server was Ashley who took great care of us - Couldn't have asked for a better, more enjoyable dinner for 2 for under $50. $55 - $60 with a nice tip and worth every dime. The food has been decent whenever I've been here. The problem is that every time we eat here, it has been very understaffed. There have been times where we've stood at the door for 10-15 minutes before a host/hostess even comes to the front of the store. Change in owner or change in management but this is the second time that they have been out of chicken and the time before they were out of chicken and brisket. I guess they lost a loyal customer. This place knows Rib's. Try the hot sauce it's not too hot but very good flavor. Baked beans were great and fries were perfect.
