We went to a college football game in Stillwater Oklahoma. Kansas City vs Oklahoma University. Unfortunately our team lost but we found this spot. It sat in between to chain restaurants we have eaten at several times plus an Arby's across the street. We were eager to try something new. We set inside to enjoy our meal. The place was filled with other local fans from the game. I want to highlight desert I'm pretty sure they had shakes. But we got the chocolate brownie pudding. A glass jar souvenir with slim chicken on it. They also had pecan caramel. They unfortunately were out of the strawberry shortcake. My son got chicken and waffles which were delicious. I got the fried chicken salad. Which was good I have a pet peeve when I order a salad and they serve iceberg. Here they use a mixed green, carrots tomato cucumber, I mean it's a real salad. My husband got a sandwich which was alright but he said he would get the chicken and waffle if were were to go again. Ordered a Buffalo wrap with grilled chicken that's it. Waited as the only car in the drive through for over 15 minutes. The wrap contained maybe one tender worth of chicken (two little squares in each half), a half a cup of tomatoes and a good amount of lettuce that I would swear has never been washed because it tasted like dirt it made the whole wrap taste like dirt even over the buffalo sauce. I ordered the 3x3 basket. 3 wings and 3 tenders which came with a side, toast and two sauce choices. For my side I got the cole slaw...bad choice. For my sauces I got ranch and Korean BBQ. The wings were ok, I ordered them hot. I enjoyed the flavor but they weren't hot at all. I asked the cashier how hot they were and I should've listened. Her words "not hot at all" lol. Might want to change it to state "medium" on the menu. The chicken tenders, meh, Canes is much better, breading wasnt very crispy and didn't taste made fresh. Now for the worst part. The two girls at the front on January 1st. They were very rude to customers. The food is amazing I come here about 3 times a week. But for some reason it is always this girl taking my order and she's very mean about it. When I came up to the counter she didn't say anything at all and just looked at me. When I said my order she kinda gave a sigh. Then this women and her two kids left slims. They said have a great day and then when they were walking out they talked to each other and pointed because at the table because there food was still there. We rolled in mid afternoon on a Saturday and the place was empty. (We don't like crowds.) Let me just say the chicken was delish! Try all the dipping sauces! I have frequented Slim's in Stillwater since it opened. The staff and service had always been amazing till today. I pulled up to the drive through around 12:45, not surprised there was line. I was surprised that cars moved out of the line as I waiting. After 5-7mins I moved up to place my order. I could get the worker talking into her headset. She kept exclaiming "Oh wow!" "Oh my god!" And laughing. She asked my order and as I was saying it she starts exclaiming over her headset again. She had to ask me to repeat my order for a second time. I pulled around and noticed the car at the window had to ask a few time for different things. I do not usually say this about food workers because I was one, but I don't know if she high, stupid. Or what. I would have accept new as an excuse for her behavior but she had a trainer shirt on. I waited at the window for almost 5 mins before she opened it, mentioning "I've never seen it so busy over here. I'm just making a big old mess." She then hands me my bag and I hand her my card. I check the bag to make sure I got the correct food, which I did. I then wait another 2-3 mins before she opens the window again and ask what else I needed. "My card back and my drink." I say. She laughs and hands me my card. " what drink did you have agin?" I had already seen her fill up the drink before. I just left and said never mind. Never have I had such bad service. The food is good. Potato salad is better than almost any restaurant I can think of and mango habanero wings are amazing. However, they are sloppy in filling drive-thru orders. I ordered a Slim's plate (which comes with five tenders), but got home to find only three chicken tenders. I checked the receipt and they definitely charged for the Slim's plate. read more

My first visit and my last. First of all, the menu was a bit confusing. They didn't have everything on the menu that they sell. They tried to explain what else they had. Why not just put it in the menu? And why include drinks with the meal? The restaurant was very noisy due to the design, with the high ceilings and empty, hard floors and metal chairs. The food: the "baked" chicken tenders had zero flavor. The dips were unspeakably bad. The blue cheese resembled mayonnaise and had no flavor, same for the ranch. They had no honey. The pros: the people were very, very friendly. The restaurant was clean. The fried chicken tenders were moist and fresh (though bland). The fries were good and fresh. I liked that they had a covered patio and big windows. There is no fault on Stillwater's part. I think the chain just needs to rethink its menu, condiments and building design. read more

We wanted to avoid the regular chain restaurants but also didn't want to spend time inside of a restaurant sitting down for a long meal with a waitress. I had never heard of this place before so we stopped in had their chicken fries mac & cheese desert in a jar as well as their fried pie..... All were excellent freshly made the service was wonderful staff very friendly and this place has a huge potential to take on some of the other chicken joints around the US if it would grow appropriately..... This place has great chicken strips! The wings aren't bad either, however, the fried pickles I had were a little salty. The cayenne ranch sauce is very good. Great wings, strips, and the best fries in Stillwater if you like them completely crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. (Similar in thickness to McDonald's fries but not as salty or as fake tasting.) Really great sauce selection, though the house-made inferno sauce can be a bit inconsistent; I've ordered it 4 times and only once did it make me sweat. Somewhat pricier than other chicken spots in town, but you really do get what you pay for, and I like that they offer combos without the drink.
