Pre-Purchase Review On June 19th, I reached out to Ricart Chevrolet regarding a used 2022 Toyota Camry XSE V6. I've been looking for this vehicle for months but dealers were asking an arm and a leg for it, except for Ricart. With that being said, I jumped on this deal. I was quickly set up with a pre-owned sales representative named Roxanne Mullis. Roxanne understood that since I live 2 hours away, it was important for me to work out the finances of the vehicle first and quickly got to work on a "sight unseen" appraisal for my trade in. Despite their systems being down do to a technological event that affected over 15,000 dealers nationwide, about 5 hours later Roxanne was able to provide me with a trade in value and set me up the best she could with financing options. Given the circumstances, 5 hours is a great turn around time. I've had dealers take north of 2 days to get back to me for "sight unseen" appraisals since these appraisals aren't treated the same as someone walking in with their trade. Not at Ricart though. The number was lower than I liked but still not unreasonable. The trade in number they offered was about $500 higher than KBB - Fair book value, given most dealers insulted me at offers between $1,500 and $3,000 below fair market price, the amount Ricart offered was definitely the best I could've gotten. After appraising the trade, I filled out a credit application and proceeded to the next step in the buying process. Roxanne maintained full contact with me, not only by text message but by email aswell. By 8:30pm we had scheduled a time for me to drive to Columbus to pick up the car the next day. But wait.....there's more..... While on the way to pick up the car, Roxanne called me right as they opened and informed me that their systems are still down as a result of the CDK network attack and though they were able to process forms and transactions manually during the previous day, this would not be the case for today. She apologized greatly for having me turn around and wait for their systems to be restored but also reassured me that do to the nature of the situation our deal is safe and considered as pending. Therefore they promised the vehicle will not be sold. On June 21st, just 3 days after our initial contact, Roxanne messaged me and told me that though the systems are still down, they now have the ability to process transactions. She stated it may take a bit longer because they need to complete most of their tasks that have been digitized manually. But despite having to operate like dealerships did a decade ago, I was clear to close the deal and drive home with my new-to-me car. In-Store Purchase Review After traveling two hours to Columbus, I met with Roxanne who had the Camry detailed and ready for me to test drive while she finalized my appraisal numbers. Since I already knew this vehicle inside and out because of the research I did before making the trip. With the car only having 8,000 miles, it was practically a brand new car. After we filled out the paperwork and reviewed the Car Fax together, we took a trip to the finance department (which in this particular instance was located in their new car building). Financing went smoothly and efficiently aswell. I was given plenty of time to read and understand each piece of paper I was signing. The agent was also very knowledgeable and made sure I understood everything before advancing to a different form. Even during the upsells the process remained low pressure. I wasn't forced into anything that I didn't want (this was a major relief since usually dealers push hard on service contracts and additional addons). The agent was even able to transfer my registration over from my trade in to my new car! Overall, this was a great experience and I'll definitely be returning!

The ripped trash bag, greasy red rag on the seat, none of this was there when we took the car in.

We had car problems with our 2019 Buick while on vacation in Dublin. We broke down about a half mile from Ricart Buick so we had it towed there because our warranty would be covered there. Ricart promised us that they would work on the car in the morning, they even gave us a 8:30 am scheduled time for service. We hadn't heard anything by noon so we called to check on it. They hadn't looked at it yet. They said they would get it in the garage in the next hour or so. So we checked back about 3pm. They said they had called for a second tow truck to bring it into the bay. At about 4pm we went to get some stuff out of the car, to put in our rental. While we were there, the service manager told us it was the transmission, and it would take at least a week to fix. We live 2.5 hours away so they told us to go to the next place on our vacation. We asked if they thought there was any chance it would be done in one day because we could stay in Dublin another day to avoid many extra hours of driving. They told us the problem was transmission and it would be possibly a week or longer. We kept telling them that this meant we would have to drive an extra 5 hours. If it was possibly going to be fixed we would stay in Dublin an extra night. The service manager assured us that the problem was the transmission. Taking her word for it, we went to Cleveland. Soon after arriving in Cleveland they called us telling us the STARTER was fixed. So we had to make another trip to Dublin, because of their delay in looking at the car and improper initial diagnosis that it was the STARTER and not the transmission. Another pet peve of mine was that the huge mess they made on the floor and front seat. They ripped the garbage bag and through the garbage all over the floor, and the handicap tag and other papers all over the floor and seat. And a greasy nasty rag was left on the seat as well. If we could give them ZERO Stars, we would!

We are very pleased with how the car drove, but it wasn't exactly what we were looking for, so we didn't move forward with the purchase. The sales rep that had helped us wasn't overly pushy and let us test drive the vehicle even though they were close to closing overall, we had a good experience.

I'd never been there before, but they had a car I wanted to look at. It's on their web site. When…read morethe guy brings the car for me to look at, it's as filthy as you can imagine. Including dog hair and dog smell. Sticky crappy driver's seat. I wouldn't have even sat in that car, let alone drive it. But they didn't think anything about presenting that to a prospective buyer and proposing a test drive. The sales guy said something about how they'd clean it up for me. In no way would I trust a car dealer to do anything after I've signed the paperwork. And detail this car to the level it needed? Never. Not once the papers are signed. Then the manager gave some song and dance about "we just didn't have an opportunity to get to it yet". I've been to plenty of dealers that may have the car up on their site, but will say it's not available yet, still being detailed and whatnot. That's fine. That this place felt ZERO shame in putting this car in this condition in front of a prospective buyer, should tell you all about them.

I recently had the water pump replaced on my vehicle at Luke's Auto Shop. Unfortunately, shortly…read moreafter the repair, I discovered that a coolant hose clamp associated with the water pump had been left improperly installed. This caused coolant to leak into the engine bay and could have led to much more serious engine damage if it hadn't been caught quickly. A mistake like this is concerning because the cooling system is a critical component, and something as basic as verifying that all hose clamps are properly secured should be part of every final inspection before a vehicle is returned to the customer. That said, I also believe it's important to recognize when a business makes a genuine effort to address a problem. Once the issue was brought to the shop's attention, the service manager handled the situation professionally. While the original workmanship issue should not have occurred, he did what he could to make the situation right by listening to my concerns, arranging for the vehicle to be checked over, and working to restore my confidence in the repair. No repair shop is immune to mistakes, but how those mistakes are handled matters. In this case, the initial repair fell short of the standard I expected, but the service manager's professionalism and willingness to stand behind the work improved what could have been a much worse experience. Overall, I hope the shop strengthens its quality-control procedures to ensure critical items like coolant hose connections are verified before vehicles leave the shop. If they do, I believe they can provide a much more consistently positive customer experience.

First of all, when you set up an appointment, you can request a loaner car, so that you don't need to wait there for the car, and I didn't have to miss work. I also saw a different rep ordering someone an Uber for a different customer because who didn't have appointment so there wasn't a loaner available. Secondly, I originally went in for a transmission flush. While I was at work, I got a text and email of the inspection they had done. The inspection was really easy to read, and gave me different levels of recommendations for other things that needed to be done. Some things were urgent, and some things were needed soon, but not urgent, and there were some things that were for maintenance only. On my lunch break, I called my service rep, and he was able to talk me through all of the things on the report, and explain things to me, because I am pretty illiterate when it comes to cars. I ended up also getting my drive belt replaced as well. But my rep made sure to let me know what the price would before I decided to go through with it. At the end of my work day, I drove my loaner car back to Luke's and picked my car up, and was on my way. Overall, the inspection report, and the loaner car I think is what really separates Luke's from the rest. When I've taken my car to get an oil change or the tires replaced at other places, i've always had to wait in the lobby and its a waste of time. I lost no time with Luke's and knew exactly what was happening to my car. Take your car to Luke's if you want incredible service.
