Kind of disappointing. We went here for a birthday celebration and had a group of 7. We sat inside but I would have thought it would've been nicer to sit outside on the patio where there happened to be live music on Saturday night. But alas, we were seated inside where it had a banquet hall feel. The chairs made it look cheap inside, different chairs would completely change the look! The restaurant had a very young staff presence, but our server seemed very new and kept having to say "I'll go check." It's like she didn't know the menu? The menu paper was very large in size and hard to handle, and nothing really stood out to me in terms of something special. They serve pastas, chicken parmigiana, limited seafood options, and a few steak options. I decided on a veal scallopini with an upgrade to gnocchi on the side with 3$. It came with soup or salad, and pasta. I liked that all entrees came with the soup or salad option with pasta, very good value. We started with grilled calamari which was tender and tasted delicious. My gnocchi tasted terrible, like flour dough balls which I'm not sure how it's possible when it's supposed to be made out of potato? Veal was good and tender. Even though the restaurant is on the river I felt like they didn't use the space to maximize that lot. The umbrellas blocked all the view for me indoors. Parking lot was good but I think they could extend the patio down more. I also didn't like how there wasn't a short cut to the water and I had to walk all the way around with my elderly grandfather... overall I will not return to Riccardo's and not sure what I would recommend it for... maybe patio only?

If you want classic food this is a good place. Not fancy. Drinks were watered down. Decent food but nothing fantastic. Good service

Went for dinner with friends, the service as well as the food was horrible. The only good thing about this restaurant is the outdoor patio.

For longtime fans, like me, that connection alone sets expectations high! Thankfully, many of the classics that I remember have made the move, including favorites like the Linguine Pescatore. Overall, the good far outweighed the bad during our visit, but since Dolce V had only been open about two months at the time of this review, there were a few little hiccups that are worth mentioning. The Negatives Let's start with the challenges. The restaurant itself is very small, which means limited seating. When every table is full, as it was during our visit, the space becomes quite loud, making conversation difficult. This is definitely not the spot for an intimate or quiet dinner. Pricing was another slight negative. Bread is not included and comes with a $6 upcharge, the starter salad is also a $6 uncharge ($4 if you order an entrée). On top of that, there is a 3% credit card fee, which we didn't notice until the bill came. So, by the end of the meal, it felt like we were being nickel and dimed, and that feeling detracted a bit from the overall experience. Unfortunately, the bread itself didn't justify the $6 cost, it wasn't warm, and the butter was underwhelming (honestly, our butter tub at home is better). While the salads were very good, paying extra for what many restaurants include as standard can be frustrating. The Positives Now for the highlights, and there were many! Portion sizes are generous, to say the least. Both my husband and I took home leftovers, which is always a win. The clear standout of the night was the appetizer Arancini, easily one of the best I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked rice, cheese and meat on the inside. Full of flavor, it's a must-order! For entrées, my husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and I chose the Shrimp Scampi. Both dishes were very good, and you could absolutely tell they were made fresh, not from frozen chicken or shrimp. That attention to quality matters, and it showed. While the salads came with an upcharge, they were large for a side salad and had fancy lettuce and toppings, and I especially loved the house-made creamy Italian dressing. That dressing alone might convince me to order the salad again, even with the extra cost! A small but appreciated touch was that the beer was ice-cold and served in a frosty glass, which always elevates the experience. Final Thoughts All in, our date night with beers, bread, appetizer, salads, and entrées - came in at just over $100. It's definitely on the pricey side, but not unreasonable given the portion sizes and fresh food quality. You could easily skip the add-ons and up charges to make the meal more affordable and still have a very good meal experience! This is a must try in my opinion, just go in knowing what to expect in advance! We will definitely be back very soon!

First, the place is so welcoming. Several different rooms as well as the outside patio, which has bocce ball. It was too warm & humid for us, so we sat inside at a table near the bar. The servers were all very friendly; it seemed a different person brought each course. We had the bread service and calamari for an appetizer. The bread and herb butter were very good, and I understand that it does cost the restaurant to serve it, but $7 seemed like a lot to me. I also enjoyed the calamari. I had the pasta Bolognese (they had some other name for it), which is one of my favorite kinds of pasta. This did not disappoint. I loved the super wide papardelle noodles (also a favorite!) and the small scoop of cheese (burrata, maybe?) on top. My sister had the mushroom pizza (also with a different name). She enjoyed it as well. I am glad they decided to take us there; it was all very good and in a nice atmosphere as well.

Delicious bread and butter, olive oil on the table, fresh salads (best blue cheese dressing ever), delicious Caprese salad full of balsamic-basil flavors, awesome mussels with garlic and oil sauce (sopped up with fresh bread), fresh made egg-cream sauce on the decadent spaghetti carbonara. Great hot coffee and a homemade cannoli for desert. Well made bar drinks too. I left completely satisfied. Perfect pit-stop for hungry travelers waiting for rush hour traffic to clear. We did two orders each of the focaccia (the whipped gorgonzola served with it was SO good), the farinata (the chickpea pancake), the artichokes, and the asparagus. My mom and I also decided to order separate pasta dishes and split them, I went with the carbonara and she went with the stuffed shells (conchiglie alla norcina). Hands down my favorites were the artichokes and the asparagus. So fresh and flavorful! The stuffed shells were also quite good and quite a hearty portion. Admittedly my least favorite dish was my carbonara. It was very pepper forward which I'm not super crazy about. I anticipated that given the base is their cacio e pepe but I was curious to try it as the chef intended but for me it was a bit too much. It was still very good, but next time I'd ask them to go a little easy on those extra pepper grings to match my personal palate a little better. For dessert we split the dark chocolate gelato and it was so good and VERY rich. Perfect for splitting. Our server (whose name I forgot which is a bummer) was so great! She explained she was in training and to forgive any mistakes but there were none! She knocked it out of the park. My cousin (the celebrant) also has several nut allergies and they were incredibly accommodating and checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was good for her. They also offered little touches for celebrations which were quite nice and made us happy we selected them for the special occasion. They sweetly added some congrats messaging to my cousin on her dessert, gave her a greeting card signed by the whole staff, and a bag of their milled flour for pancakes as a little parting gift. She felt very spoiled and it was very sweet! Overall, it was an incredible experience. Looking forward to my next visit already! Especially when celebrating a special occasion!
