I went in for a crown after getting my root canal done by a different dentist. This was the BEST dental experience I have ever had. Beautiful, clean office, state of the art technology & the FRIENDLIEST STAFF EVER. Dr Rice is a professional; he gets the work done right, and has incredible "bed side manner". They even set me up with an IPAD and headphone so I could stream Pandora during my procedure.. incredible! And of course on the way out I had to grab a delicious cookie. Great job! read more

They treat you with utmost respect and care. They make sure that you feel comfortable and get the best experience. When the hygienist cleans your teeth, they give you warm, padded gloves that keeps you relax. When it's time to clean your teeth, they let you choose the type of paste you want, just to make sure that's the flavor that you like. My first Appointment and the Road to Extractions I had my first visit with Dr. Rice back in Summer of 2017. During the appointment, he took a few x-rays, and a quick picture of me for profiling purposes. He said I had no cavities, however I did have 2 wisdom teeth. (Only the upper right and upper left). After all the horror stories I heard about having wisdom teeth removed, I did hesitate a few months to even consider getting them removed. Originally I had planned to get them removed in October of that year, yet, due to a few financial issues, I postponed everything for January 2018. After months of overthinking the procedure and endless pessimistic thoughts, I am happy to say that Today I can declare myself wisdom-teeth free. Upper Left Dr. Rice is amazing without doubt, however since he is a cosmetic dentist (as well as his son Dr. Taylor Rice), the one who ended up extracting my wisdom teeth was Dr. Ravon (otherwise known as their periodontal specialist). Last week on January 24, 2018 I had my first wisdom tooth extracted in less than 5 minutes. I had the option to do either local anesthetic, general anesthetic, or sedation, and I decided to go for the local anesthetic due to pocket-friendly purposes. At first, I was given a nice cozy blanket to keep comfy, then I was given the headphones I requested (to listen to a playlist I had created on my phone), and then the Doctor's amazing assistant came in and applied some numbing cream on my gum. Before I know it, the Doctor came in and started applying the anesthetic through these really thin needles and the left for about 15 minutes to allow for the anesthetic to settle. Upon his returning, all I saw was his hand reaching into my mouth to initiate the extraction and in a matter of seconds--the tooth was successfully removed. I felt no pain and no pressure during or post the extraction. I also experienced no swelling or soreness, and was already looking forward to get my second tooth extracted. Upper Right Today at about 2:30PM, I had my second and final wisdom tooth extracted. This one took about 10 minutes since it was still not out of the gum and was also found to be a bit more impacted. Due to this, and my slight increase in anxiety, the Doctor's assistant was sure to give me some Tylenol prior to applying the anesthetic. Almost, immediately afterward, the assistant applied the numbing cream, followed by the Doctor's application of the (local) anesthetic. After the anesthetic was settled, I heard the Doctor walk from behind me as I laid on the comfortable dental chair. With great confidence and determination, he suggested we began the procedure. I made sure to close my eyes as I was listening to one of my relaxing playlists. I remember the only thing I could feel was how numb the right-side of my mouth was, and absolutely no pain. I currently am experiencing a bit of swelling, but nothing more. Just like the first extraction, the Doctor's assistant provided me with post-extraction instructions and a few gauzes to stop the bleeding. I'm glad everything went well, but I'm more glad that I was given the opportunity to have such a skilled and dedicated professional complete with great care, one of the dental procedures I hesitated for months about. The only reason I am giving this review stars is for Tracey, the hygenist. I have used Dr Rice for fillings and a crown replacement. Every single time I had work done, my teeth and mouth would hurt for days, especially from the injections In fact the crown he put in still hurts almost 3 years later! I also once had to wait 2 hours to look at another painful tooth and sat in the chair while being rotated between his son and Dr Scott Rice. Literally 2 hours and no resolution. I ended up with a cracked tooth next to this crown plus "external resorbtion" (Another dentist noticed the cracked tooth). Finally, I was shocked when paying for my one of my office visits to receive a $500 bill for some type of fancy x ray that I didn't authorize. I have since found another dentist who is virtually pain free but he will probably have to replace the crown the Dr Rice did to the tune of $1500. read more

I have been with Dr Rice for over 7 years. About one year ago he moved to this new office. He has been great but this new office is even better. He prides himself in being on the forefront of dentistry. He has all the new "gadgets". He makes sure that the visit is pleasant as possible. He provide iPad for music and Spa Heated gloves if you like. One thing this office does well, in additional to the usually services he their commitment to be on time. Dr. Rice was referred to me by my Chiropractor and he told me I would LOVE this dentist....he was right! I am not a big fan of dentists, who really is? well I can say I am never changing dentists again! I have had a cleaning by Tracy and love her! I do not think my teeth have been this clean. They give you a spa treatment while you are getting you cleaning, with your jewelry cleaned and lotion on your hands with warm hand warmers. I went in 2/26/14 to get work done on a tooth that is very sensitive and have had problems in the past so I was stressed and having a mild panic attack. He completely calmed me down talking to me while doing the proceedure to make sure that I wasn't in any pain and if I was to let him know. It went very smoothly! Everyone in the office is so friendly and know your name after the first time you visit their offices. Have had headaches for years due to clinching grinding teeth, especially in my sleep. Other dentists I have had just never knew what to do. I research and finally Went to him today and he reviewed everything to see what can be done, very thorough. He is ordering a programmer that will help and see where we go from there. Somehow I know we will find the solution and I have finally found a road to relief. My son has same problem so he will be going in for help. Great staff, on time, lovely office and very fair prices. I went to Scott Rice's office today, 10-27-11, for work that involved six teeth and two extractions. I was at the office over four hours, so you can tell this was serious work.
