We walked in at 4:30 we were the only ones in there. The place is a little older but was clean. We had the chicken pad Thai no nuts add basil . It came out great in about 5 minutes. It was hot and fresh. I ordered it a little spicy but I should have ordered it medium spicy . We've been here a few times and it was really good! read more

Really people ...rice costs you nothing to add to the order. Never again! I wouldn't feed this to my dog. Person on the phone hung up on me when I complained and blamed Uber.. $25 down the drain. My wife and i went here after MUCH searching around for a week for our anniversary. We didnt want to spend too much being so close to Christmas. My wife ordered the Tofu Hibachi Fried rice and i got the House specialty ramen. Her dish was full of flavor and the tofu was a nice surprise when i tried it, most places the tofu is squishy and bland, i was pleasantly surprised when it was a crispy exterior with a flavor packed interior. My ramen was a flavor bomb!! The broth was PACKED full of flavor, i can tell it's absolutely from scratch. The eggs were perfectly cooked as they would be for a ramen dish, the pork was sweet and flavorful. The whole dish was a perfect match of flavors. The only thing that was an issue, which we didn't mind was the appetizer (spicy edamame) taking a little longer than anticipated, which the restaurant comped a free dessert for us, which was a delightful sweet treat. The atmosphere was pleasant and the background music was nice and peaceful, the service was good. Not sure what the low reviews are about but i can say they're definitely wrong. I highly recommend going here, my wife and i are foodies and we WILL INDEED be returning. read more

Being from Southern California, we have some of the best ethnic food choices on the planet. So far, I've found So Cal Mexican food and Chinese food to be far superior. The Kung Pao Chicken here is horrible. It was at best, 20% chicken. The rest was sub par vegetables. The Celina store has never done that! McKinney said Grub hub didn't request the rice!!!! How weird is that! I never heard that you had to request the rice for your meal. Ok so first of all shout out to the new team for encouraging old guests to try the new management. Valentine was so courteous and thanked us for giving Rice Noodle another chance. This place cares about your shellfish allergy and if you're halal the only dish with pork is the ramen (they also have vegan ramen) which is not cooked with anything else. There's a lot of choices out there for Asian cuisine in the area, and the short version of my review is that Rice & Noodle is now around the top of my list. The place isn't big or fancy. You order at the front counter and they bring the food to your table or booth. We tried a variety of dishes for our first trip - the House Special Ramen, the Spicy Black Garlic Shrimp Ramen, the Hibachi Fried Rice, the steamed dumplings and the crab rangoons. Everything was amazing. My pics don't do the potion size justice but they were huge! Inside the huge bowls of soup were tons of veggies, nice and fresh tasting, and plentiful proteins. I lost count of the number of shrimp in my soup, and they were good-sided. The same comments applied to the fried rice....flavorful and loaded with stuff. Only a couple things keep this place from getting five stars from me: - the Crab Rangoons were large, flavorful, and crispy...but the wonton they were wrapped in was a little denser than we like it. If you've read my reviews of other Chinese places, we light the lighter, crispier versions. - my wife's ramen, although loaded with veggies and stuff, was lukewarm, and a little bland. Maybe just an off batch. - they brought us our fried rice before our appetizers. Kind of a pet peeve of mine. However, overall it was a great dinner. We'll be back soon. read more

I eat Rice & Noodle - McKinney to-go probably once a week, and have been doing so for two years. I am always confused by some of the bad reviews, so I thought I needed to let any doubters or hesitating hungerers know the truth. This place is the best "chinese" takeout I have ever had. It's American Chinese in Texas. I'm not sure why people are expecting an authentic eastern experience. Anyway, I almost always get the Basil Jalapeno Fried Rice with Chicken. Why? Because it has tons of flavor, is a big portion, a great value, and most of all, extremely consistent. (See attached photo) I have tried a few other chicken entrees, which have been fine, but they are just not on the same level as the Basil Jalapeno Fried Rice with Chicken, so I seldom get anything else. Occasionaly I get the Pad Thai Noodle with Chicken. I have seen some people here complaining that it is dry. It is dry. It is their interpretation, their recipe. I enjoy it, but I have had better Pad Thai. I also enjoy the egg drop and hot and sour soup. Both are very good and rich, and they don't skimp on the eggs/ingredients. Both are always served piping hot and sealed well for carry-out. The service here is bar none. They are extremely quick. Everything is well done and problem free, from the online ordering, to the packaging of the to-go orders. I always order on their website, and my food is usually ready in 10 mins. That's typically two entrees and a soup or two! 10 minutes! When I drive my 12 minutes home, my rice is always extremely hot and fresh because it is completely sealed in their food-safe plastic box. It really says something, when I've probably had over 150 meals from here and never had any issue. It should be noted that my wife is allergic to gluten, which is in soy sauce. We always make a note in the online order to use gluten free soy sauce in her rice. Whether they do or not, we don't know, but they tell me it's GF and they write it on the box. I should also say that I have tried delivery a few times and have been pleased. The added fee is nominal, and the speed of service is just as quick. Sad will be the day if this place ever closes or if I ever move, as this is simply the best fried rice anywhere. This place is rock solid across the board. I'm obviously addicted. I only got one thing: hot and sour soup ($2.49 for small). As soon as I saw it, I knew it was gonna be bad. Typically, it should be brown in color. I think they put Tabasco in theirs because it was bright orange. While it didn't taste very legit, it did have a decent amount of shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and tofu. They have disposable masks, N95 masks, and hand sanitizers for sale inside. The cashier was not wearing a mask, but apologized and said he misplaced it and didn't know where it was. I may come back to try an entree to update my review. But until then... Not impressed. read more

We are (were) for 4 years regular customers of this Rice Noodle place in McKinney, near the 380/Cluster Walmart. This place used to be good. Besides one time several months ago when they forgot a couple of items in an order and we had to waste time and gas to drive back to get them, the food was always great and tasting. Unfortunately, this has changed. I don't know if they have a new manager or owner, but today's meals were very very disappointing. All the portions were 1/2 of what they used to be, everything was kind of tasteless, there was NO veggies in the ramen noodles, only one small half cooked egg versus usually 2 full boiled eggs, the spicy ramen was NOT spicy at all, spring rolls were smaller than usual and NOT cooked inside, the rice tasted "old" and "funny" and was not good (we even could not eat it), no more utensils and napkins, and no more fortune cookies neither! They just lost a good and repeat customer!!! I guess this place is following the current trend where everything costs a lot more but quality and quantity both go down a lot!!!! read more

My family came here for a quick dinner and saw the 4 star listing. We ordered the beef hibachi fried rice, the beef was extremely tough, but the flavor was okay. We also ordered shrimp udon noodle soup and it was way too salty and the shrimp was freezer burned and finally we ordered the chicken pad Thai but unfortunately when it came out it was basically a pad see ew and not pad Thai. Also, there was black particles in the drinking water. If you like authentic asian food, this is NOT the place for you. We will not be coming back. read more
