09-20-2025 I came to visit my sister in Dallas. She and her husband brought me here for lunch. Loved loved loved the food! As soon as the chef finished our dishes, the staff wasted no time to deliver them to our table. Everything we ordered was piping hot and scrumptious. Ordered: -Stir Fried String Beans- garlicky delicious! -Salt & Pepper Shrimp- perfectly seasoned and the shell were crunchy yummy. -Wonton with Chili Oil- flavorful! -Stir Fried Chicken with Jalapeño- perfect combo of tender chicken and jalapeño. -Pork Xiao Long Bao- juicy delicious! -Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao- good flavor. -Hand Pulled Noodle- good combo of chili, garlic n sauce. -Pork Potstickers- loved it! -Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup- tender beef w perfectly seasoned broth. If I were to live here, I would eat here at least once a week lol

Update: July 24, 2025 We ordered sautéed green beans and yang chow fried rice. They're delicious. We came for late lunch, not a lot of diners around. Service is ok and ambiance is the same nothing change. I was wondering why they ask for tips, since we order at the counter and we clean our table?

This place always hit. They have the crispiest orange chicken. My dad really enjoyed everything we ate and he still mentions this place a few months later. We have both ordered from them consistently.

Got dinner here after another event. You order at a counter and they bring you the food. I got the soup dumplings and a pork bun. It was somehow too much food for me so I had the pork bun as leftovers the next day and it was still good which was nice as you never know with reheated food. The soup dumplings were good as well but not the best I've had. They were cooked well but the overall flavor was lucky and the soup brith seemed almost a little fatty. But I would give them another try for sure if I was in the area

All I wanted for my birthday was hand pulled noodles and a scallion pancake and 88 BaoBao definitely understood the assignment! The restaurant is small but very clean. Every employee we encountered was extremely kind and helpful. We ordered the Shrimp Dumplings, Scallion Pancake, Hand Pulled Noodle, Stir Fried String Beans, Jalapeño Chicken dish. Everything was spectacular, the portions were amazing as well (made for the best left overs)! My babe loves his food extremely spicy and was very pleased that they added extra spice to his chicken dish. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later

This place has become my go to for dim sum. The place is never crowded and the staff are always very patient when ordering. I also like how you can order buns individually if you just want to try some, and they're also pretty big. My standouts are the char siu bun and the spicy wontons, but the beef roll was ehh. Overall would highly recommend this place!

The food taste pretty good. You order and grab food at the register, and there is a glass window into the kitchen if you want to see them make pancakes and noodles. The presentation of the food is a bit lacking, but the taste is there.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Great service and the place is clean. Love the food, specifically the salt and pepper shrimp The char siu bao is good, the XLB is soupy and good. Will have to come back and try other dishes !

My husband and I came to try this place. You order first then sit at a table (we got the last one ... LUCKY) We started with the chicken pan fried dumplings and these were amazing I wish we had got another order. We then got chicken fried rice (no veggies) orange chicken and Seasame chicken. These were good but they tasted almost the exact same. They lack beef entrees on their chef specials. Things came out one by one family style we got the entrees first (kind of weird) I would definitely eat here again and be willing to try some other things

I had a delivery order. Don't get the Kung pao chicken! It wasn't grilled chicken. It was cut up little nuggets of fries and/or breaded and friend chicken. I've never had it this way. Tons of carrots and zucchini too which is also not normal for this dish. I decided to try it because I was starving and there was zero flavor. Just bland. Luckily, I also ordered the string beans and they were amazing as well as the good old steamed rice. Just perplexed on how they can screw up a Chinese staple dish.

Order at the counter when you're ready and they'll bring the food to you. Surprisingly, given all we ordered, the food came out super quickly! There's actually soooo much soup in the xlb, more than I can say for other places I've had and the broth is easily one of my favorites! If you want legit, flavorful soup dumplings, come here. The hand pulled noodles were chewy, but not as seasoned as I'd liked. There's also only like 2 pieces of bok choy wish there was a little more. Popcorn chicken, green beans, and cucumbers were all solid and perfect side dishes. We also got pan fried dumplings which were okay. They weren't crispy as you'd want, barely fried. The scallion pancake we ordered was very flaky and almost too crispy? For sure did NOT have enough scallion. 100% will come back for the xlb though. Can't wait for them to open the Carrollton location so it's closer

Came here with the wifey for a lunch date, and this place did not disappoint. Atmosphere/Ambiance - 5/5 - Busy and full of Asian diners. What does that mean? That means it's authentic and legit. Staff - 5/5 - Friendly. Food came out FAST. Food/Drink - Ordered the following: Pork XiaoLongBao - 4.5/5 - Dumplings were great, but wish there was more soup in them. Pork Bun - 4/5 - I just love these and get these every time. Nothing super great, but tasty nonetheless. Marinated Pig Ears - 5/5 - I can just eat this with rice all day. Wood Ear Mushrooms - 4/5 - Not much flavor, but wifey wanted them. Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup - 5/5 - This is a MUST GET. EVERY TIME. Hand Pull Noodles - 3.5/5 - Little too oily for my taste. Overall, this was a great lunch, and will definitely be back to try other items. Get the TW Beef Noodle Soup.

Best spicy beef noodle soup (Taiwanese style) that I've had in Dallas! Pig ears had a good crunch and spicy kick Soup dumplings were a hit String beans were the star of the show, would absolutely return for these and beef soup Popcorn chicken had a nice crunch but would not get again. It was very salty and one dimensional in flavor. Nice, modern decor and clean. Love being able to see the big open window of the staff cooking and making soup dumplings. The staff was friendly. You order upfront and then sit down. Water and drinks are self served. Don't forget to tip!

The soup dumplings ended up having a sweet taste in the soup. The hot and sour soup was not sour at all, and I ended up, doctoring it a bit by asking for some vinegar. I would highly recommend against people ordering this if they're expecting the authentic Asian flavor profile. The beef noodle soup ordered medium spicy was not spicy at all and so next time if I ever go back, I'll have to get their extra spicy. And their tofu noodle soup did not have nearly as much tofu as the picture seemed to make us believe. The one thing I did really like was the wontons in the wonton soup so if I come back, I'll probably just be ordering that. Overall, I think I was expecting a classic Taiwanese flavor profile and was left wanting more.

Dim sum has become an expensive endeavor at a lot of places these days, so glad to see an affordable spot. There's no push carts here, so everything is made to order, so you won't get the instant gratification of smelling scents and getting a ticket marked and food on the table, but I rather get it fresh every time. We got a ton of the classics: shu mai, rice rolls, beef flat noodle, taro dumplings, radish cake, sticky rice. All were honestly average - nothing that will blow your socks off, but texture is good, seasoning maybe a bit on the lighter side, but you can fix that yourself with the chili sauce and soy sauce at the table. But without having to wait super long for a table and fresh food, it does its job. Saw some others get buns and peking duck and those looked good, so would come back to try that.
