What you do see is a kitchen area, that is being used for prepping the different types of seafood at the time. The seafood is fresh and then vacuumed pack. The owner actually does some of the fishing in Alaska. I think if they can utilize the kitchen more, they could get a lot of business by doing fish dinners. You can get their items either fresh or frozen. Fresh cod was being prepped during our visit today. We purchased some frozen scallops which I've heard are delicious. I can't wait to cook them. Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.

As I was taking the picture, this guy working in the store approached me and said did you asked the owner for permission to take the picture??!!!!!!!
