Home made chilli

The chilli amazing! The choices from different types of soup, definitely ask if it's dairy-free because there wasn't no signs. The staff were very helpful, we bought fresh sesame bread and a sourdough loaf. The ambiance very quiet in & out type of bakery, I'll definitely come check them out again to try the pies out.

There's a reason why they won an award for their almond ring. Tender dough filled with a generous amount of almond paste. If you love sweet danishes, then this is right up your ally.

Yummy shortbread cookies, with samples!

My boyfriend's favorite food: meat pies. My favorite food: any kind of yummy dessert. Mr. Pot Pie: the perfect marriage of both! We live downtown and were making it out to East Aurora for the first time in awhile. While driving down the main road, we saw Mr. Pot Pie bakery and knew we had to stop in. The wares that we found inside: multiple different types of savory dinner pies, frozen and ready for an easy meal (we decided to sample the steak and Guinness pie and the chicken curry - yum!); delicious desserts including a wide selection of shortbread cookies and giant cupcakes; a nice selection of giant pierogies; and a table full of fluffy, perfect looking homemade breads. What more could you ask for? Additionally, service when we stopped by was lovely. Just the type of local bakery that we love to stop into, and has something for everyone!

Couldn't wait to taste it. Should have taken photo first.

My go-to place when guests are in from out of town. They always have some seasonal baked good that can't be resisted. At this particular visit they had some apple and pumpkin quick breads, a couple coffee cakes, and almond rings. I picked up an almond ring after reading that it's award winning. It didn't disappoint - soft pastry filled with plenty marzipan. Will I be back? No doubt; their treats are well-loved by my family.

Stringy and uncooked dough

I bought a cheesecake pastry that was undercooked and doughy in the middle which made me sick. When I returned to the store I realized it was supposed to be a ring with a hole in the middle instead of what I got which had stringy dough. Yuk

It might seem a bit pricey at first, but the portions are generous and you'll definitely leave with a full, happy stomach. And don't skip the pastries/baked goods, grab one (or five). The ambiance…read moreis warm and inviting, the food is excellent, and it's the kind of place you want to linger with a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, what I experienced this past Saturday morning completely undermined that charm. A local running group had clearly made this their post-run stop, which in itself is perfectly fine. Many of the women were seated respectfully like any other patrons. However, one man took it upon himself to turn the front of the bakery into his personal gym. While customers stood waiting for their coffee, he was drenched in sweat, performing cooldown exercises right in the lobby--hands flat on the floor, legs in the air, squats, jumping--completely oblivious to the people around him. The smell alone was enough to turn your stomach. This isn't a locker room. It's not a sidewalk. It's a place where people come to eat and drink. There was no awareness, no courtesy, no basic respect for shared space. It was uncomfortable, unhygienic, and frankly shocking to witness in a setting that otherwise prides itself on atmosphere. The bakery deserves praise for its food and environment, but management needs to step in and set clear expectations. Allowing behavior like this diminishes the experience for everyone else. There's a line between casual and careless--and this crossed it entirely. Hope you are ashamed of your self sir and I use the word sir loosely...

I was greeted at the door by the bestest boy/doggo named Teddy and someone who I assumed was one of the owners. The shop is very cute, lots of gnomes, rubber ducks, and fun quotes showcasing the owners' sense of humor. The owner was actually very helpful and gave me tips on how to best enjoy my baked goods. I got ten items for a very reasonable price! Sweet roll: one of their popular items. A roll with warm sugar and cinnamon on the inside and gooey frosting on top, but I can see why they don't advertise it as a cinnamon roll. It doesn't smack you in the face with that cinnamon flavor, but has all the other good parts of the roll. Blueberry muffin: not too sweet and chock full of blueberries and streusel topping! Turnovers: I wasn't a fan of the icing sugar topping, but the puff pastry was light and flaky. I'm sure if I was home and was able to pop it in the oven it would have been amazing! Cupcakes: this was a surprising gem for me. I generally find cupcakes and their frosting to be too sweet, but the actual cake was light on the sugar and balanced well with the buttercream. The cake felt a little dry, but my cupcake was chocolate flavored and sometimes that has an innate dryness to it. I looked online, and they actually have a crazy amount of cool flavors! I would love to come back to try more flavors. All in all, a very pleasant experience, if you're in Corfu you should definitely stop by :)

Between the two of us, we ended up ordering an iced latte, a molasses cookie, a peanut butter brownie and a chocolate almond pretzel pastry. The iced latte had a goodix of milk and espresso. The molasses cookie was perfectly soft yet chewy and had a great molasses flavor along with ginger and cinnamon. The peanut butter brownie was chewy and had a good amount of peanut butter buttercream frosting topping it. I ate the chocolate almond pretzel pastry at a later time and heated it in the air fryer for a few minutes. It was flaky, buttery and flavorful. I would definitely recommend Buttercrumbs & will return if I'm in the area.

I also love the specialty goods they carry in the store -- they make it easy to pair a sandwich run with a thoughtful gift (a gift card is always a win!). My favorites so far are the muffaletta, the Young Turk, and the All-American. Highly recommend for a quick, delicious meal.

Great customer service and they will customize every sub or pizza the way you want. They use top line Boar's Head meats and freshly delivered sub rolls, homemade spreads and dressings. Homemade soups and chili are always so good. Can be pricey but you get what you pay for. Parking is ample and they have a few tables inside for seating with simple ambience and decor. There is a cooler with self-serve drinks and desserts. Meatball sub is so good (homemade meatballs of course), and the homemade olive spread on the muffaletta hits the spot, New Orleans style! Pizzas are fresh and tasty also with fresh made dough and ingredients. Call ahead so everything is ready when you get there!
