This review is for Medstar E-visit. March was the month of Covid for my family. Rich got it early…read morein the month and sure enough two weeks later I tested positive. We were quite sure Medstar wouldn't want me sitting in their waiting room, especially since there was no question of the diagnosis, and we were right. They referred us to their E-visit option. Shortly we received a sign-in text and started the process. It was much like filling out the information form for a visit at the facility. We had a couple of glitches, mostly our fault, but got signed in. Soon a screen popped up telling me that I was "in the waiting room and there were two patients ahead of me." It was nice to sit on my own couch, sipping coffee and cuddling with my puppy while I waited. It wasn't long before Opal signed in and we started our visit. Opal went over my meds and warned me of some interactions to look for when I started the Plaxlovid. Sure enough my blood pressure fluctuated and I had to adjust my bp meds. I was really impressed with the thoroughness of the visit, how pleasant Opal was, and how easy the whole process was.

I underwent knee surgery - arthroscopy and repair of the meniscus - by Dr. Omohundro on Jan 5,…read more2012. He assured me I would be back to 100% in 4 weeks. I am a kickboxer and a dance teacher and I'm very active. 5 months later, my knee is not even 50%. In fact, there are some days where it's just as bad as it was before the surgery. Dr. Omohundro has been unable to give me any reason for this issue. Just that "knees are funny." For my post-surgical appointment (24 hours after surgery) when I was on crutches and still in a massive bandage, I had to wait for 2.5 hours to see the doctor. The staff ignored me and my obvious discomfort completely. They didn't even offer me a way to elevate my leg. When I finally got back to the doctor, my knee was very swollen and painful. Dr. Omohundro only said, "Sorry, we're slow today." Today, I went for a follow-up, and despite specifically scheduling the appointment with Dr. Omohundro so I could get some kind of explanation for my knee, I was told "Dr. Omohundro is never here on Tuesdays." Then I was kept waiting for an hour to see a PA. I finally gave up and walked out. I am never going back. If you need a orthopedist, avoid Metro Orthopedics and Sports Therapy and Dr. Omohundro at all costs. I spent 6 months in his care and I'm not better than when I started (and I'm out $4200). The Worst.
