Zero stars if possible... We have a new Frigidaire Professional Series dishwasher that is approximately 40 days old. The control panel was not functioning properly, so we called Frigidaire. There warranty repair guy is this place. Well, on Monday this guy no showed. I called Frigidaire on Tuesday and they again scheduled this clown for Thursday, between 8 and 5... just like Monday, he again no showed. Frigidaire called him 6 times while I was was on hold, and no one answers. I called Richard's 4 times to verify... his phone rings, clicks 3 times and then nothing... Tick tock tick tock tick tock TING! You guessed right, Sanford and Sons. 1. They are used by Lowes if you have a Maytag brand. Lowes has no one else. It's better to call Maytag direct at 1-800-344-1274 and speak to a live representative. They hook you up with Lake Appliance Repair, all the way from California. Looked at their reviews and they are above a 4 star rating. 2. If you schedule something with Richards. Expect a no call, no show, don't give a fuck about you attitude. Excuse the French. 3. If Maytag direct has your information on file, don't worry about the receipt, they can look you up in their database. It's good to have the receipt standing by though. Contacted Lowes concerning the lack of service by Richards Maytag, ended up conference call with LG, confirmed as of today, 10/02/2018 at 4:45, NO parts were ordered by Richards Maytag... NONE!. Now we have been without a front load washing machine for over a month. Still NO contact from Richards Maytag. read more

Initially repairman seemed like a good guy. Called on Sunday and he showed up later that day and diagnosed the problem with our 3 year old LG refrigerator. He said condenser had gone out and that he would order part. I tried to reach him at the number I initially called. Rang several times followed by 2 beeps. No VM. Had to call LG and create an "electronic" trail in case he tried to charge for part or repair visit. In the mean time we lost all the food in our fridge and freezer because we trusted his word. (I wasn't home when he came out to look at the fridge, however). read more

Had our stove break and the company sent out Cal from Richards Maytag Home. He replaced the part that was bad and the oven is fixed. Was done in less than a hour very satisfied with the expertise and experience. Not sure why no other positive reviews but I was very happy with the service I received. read more

My Maytag Dryer was not heating properly. Richard's Maytag was accommodating and thorough. He arrived on time, repaired the heat problem in the dryer, then serviced both my Maytag Dryer and Washer. He was prompt, professional and did a wonderful job. I would recommend Richard's Maytag to anyone who needs service and/or repair on their household appliances. He repairs all makes and models and is reasonably priced. Five gold stars for Richard's Maytag. read more

I called on Wednesday1/3/18 to get a serviceman to come out and check on a problem with our Frigidare Washer. Referred by the Frigidare website, and close to us. The call was answered and I was told "next Tuesday" is the earliest. I told him we had to get a service before then as my wife really needed her washer. He said OK, Friday at 9 am. We were waiting all day, and after several voicemail messages were left, we determined we had been "blown off" by a VERY LESS THAN REPUTABLE COMPANY". We always try to shop local first and we did by calling them. We will NOT be calling back! read more

Horrible Horrible service. How do you stay in business. Purchased a refrigerator from a RC Wiley's. Had to go to LG service center as only 1 month old and they sent these guys. Had to order a part and over 2 months later I can't even get a response from them. I guess it's time to go back to LG and get another service center that gives a $%&! read more

My service through this company was originally (supposed to be) scheduled by Lowes as a warranty repair on my dryer. Lowes provides an all-day window of 8am-4pm for service by Richard's Maytag, so I had to take the day off work. On the day of service nobody showed, nor did I get a call. When I called Lowes, they basically told me "tough break" and I had to wait until the next available window in 2 weeks or find another repair place and pay out of pocket (mind you, I had already had to wait more than a week for the original service, so my family is expected to be without a working dryer in the middle of winter for 3 1/2 weeks). I called Richard's Maytag the next morning to complain, but I never even got that far in the conversation. Cal was extremely apologetic and advised that he did not have me on the previous day's schedule at all but he did have me on the schedule for March. He told me that he would be in my area the very next day and could be there around noon. He showed up at 11:30am, fixed my dryer, tested it, and was done by 12:30. When I called Lowes to cancel the future service, they admitted that the previous scheduling didn't go through (which the first Lowes customer service rep I spoke with repeatedly denied was the case). I'm very impressed and pleased that Richard's Maytag was so willing to fix an error that was not even their fault to begin with. read more

I purchased a dryer a few years ago and had Richard's Maytag out to repair a squeak in my brand new dryer. I had to have them out 3 times but the problem was fixed and Cal who came out was nice. Fast forward about 5 or 6 years to 7/2015. My mom's brand new Frigidaire dishwasher needed service and I was happy the factory warranty service call was referred to Richard's Maytag. Cal came out and was very nice and informative. It turned out he was advised to replace 2 major parts on the brand new dishwasher. I waited about 2 weeks for him to call back to schedule an appointment to install the parts and never heard from him. I called and Cal scheduled an appointment. After he replaced the 2 major parts, the dishwasher was still doing the same thing as it was pre-repair. Cal had given us no paperwork at all. I called him back to tell him the unit did not work on the cycle he set on the dishwasher before he left and he seemed so puzzled and said he never set any cycle on the dishwasher to test out his repairs and I must have run the dishwasher. He seemed so confused. He never turned in his repair information to Frigidaire so they never had a record that he ever came to my mother's house. I called Frigidaire to have another service call with another servicer and they still had no record months later that Richard's Maytag had been out to my mother's house. I called Call a few times and he seemed very spacy and said he would get the service records to Frigidaire and get us copies. It has been weeks and still no records to us or Frigidaire. He doesn't get paid without submitting the repair records so I have no idea how he stays in business. I have even had the Lowes where we purchased the unit try to call him and they were told Cal was out and he was the only one who could access the service record information. I call and leave messages with his employee and Cal never calls back. My Mom and I saw him in Lowes, Fernley about a week and a half ago and asked him to please, please get his service records to Frigidaire and he acted like he had never seen us in his life. He stammered and said he could do that and when I asked for copies of the service call to be mailed to us he said he could do that yet he did not want any of our contact info. I forced my mother's last name on him but he seemed like he was in outer space. Of course we have not heard back from him. Today I had to call Frigidaire customer service for another warranty service call as the dishwasher is still not working and they tried to call Richard's Maytag to try to get Cal to get the info to them and no one answered. I really hate to write this review but I have been told by other service providers in our area that they are having to come in behind him to service customers that have gone through what we have gone through with Richard's Maytag. read more

Back in the middle of September our washing machine decided to quit working. We contacted Richard's Maytag Appliance Ctr to come to our home and take a look at it and see if it was worth repairing. The repairman arrived on 9-20 to diagnose the problem. He said that the repair required a part that would need to be ordered. He told my wife that the part would be in and the repair would be completed in less than one week. One week came and went with no call from the repairman. Trying to be understanding of the fact that things do not always go according to plan, we waited another week, and still no call and no repairman. At this point my wife starts trying to get a hold of someone, anyone. She left multiple voice mails and messages with people over the course of the next few days. At this time I went on family funeral and was gone for a week, expecting that upon my return on Friday, October 7th the repair would have been completed. To my disbelief, the repair had still not been completed, and no one had ever returned any of my wife's calls. On Monday October 10th, I called and left a voicemail expressing my displeasure and canceling the service request. Within a mater of only a few hours I received a voicemail from a representative at Richard's Maytag saying that they had staffing problems and that the part was now available if I still wanted them to come out and do the repairs. I have elected to simply ignore them at this point, much the same way they have ignored my wife. Needless to say I do not want them to come to my home and do anything other than apologize to my wife for wasting so much of her time in phone calls and two extra weeks of having to go to the laundry matt. I will never do business with these people and I can not in good conscience recommend them to anyone else. Especially to a woman who will get ignored until an angry husband calls them. read more
