We have a rental property and have furnished appliances for it that we purchased at Sun Valley Appliance. Even being used appliances, they have lasted for years and have not had to be replace. Now, our refrigerator went out in our own home and I couldn't bring myself to pay over $1000 dollars for a new one so I am glad that we have the option and were aware of Sun Valley Appliances. We got a nice used refrigerator at a great price, and when we got home, we realized we didn't measure the depth and so it didn't fit. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when I read All Sales Final on the receipt. However, I still called and spoke to Sherri, explained we didn't want a refund but to exchange for one that would fit. She was so helpful and understanding and allowed us to make an exchange. Both the employees on the floor were also helpful and assisted with the loading/unloading. I recommend this place for all your appliance needs. It is locally owned and operated. Nicole & Summer did an excellent job of finding a washing machine part for my 7 year old Samsung Washer. Their guy removed the part (Spider Gear), it was a bit time consuming, but I completely understood as I had just done the work to remove my own and found it disintegrating on the inner stainless tub. Nicole charged a fair price for the used replacement part, but upon removal they could not tap the bolts out. Due to the pot metal (Zinc blend) on these Spider Gears. Nicole further discounted the part, so that I could proceed to take it home and tap these bolts out myself. Ultimately, the part did not work for me, as the metal framework (being softer than the bolts) cracked as the bolts were tapped out. However I was still impressed with their professional and fair conduct with this transaction and if I need a washer/dryer or any parts in the future, I will definitely come to them first. I needed a stove and fridge. I went to Sun Valley Appliance and got a great deal! They were delivered and set up, all was fine at until I realized that the fridge freezer was not getting cold enough. Turns out this fridge needs the ice maker hooked up and running for the freezer to work properly. Zack tried to hook it up, but with my old house, it was not happening. Melanie had me pick out another fridge. I was not happy that it took a week for the exchange to happen. First Zach got sick, then the long holiday weekend happened. Anyway, this past Wednesday I got the replacement fridge, that does not need an ice maker hooked up and it works fine! I hope Melanie and Zach now know to check out the ice making issues before selling a fridge. We purchased a heater / air Conditioner unit last summer. It was a very expensive job. It took several days to complete the install and when the finished we had no power in the bathrooms-not their fault they say. The air conditioner guys left cigarette butts all over the yard and we're on a smoke break constantly. They used the saws all for the hole to put the unit in and made the whole too big, they took the old heater which worked with them without asking. (They did bring it back after my husband told them we wanted it. ) We only hope no parts were robbed. We specifically asked for a quieter unit then we had and we're assured that's what we'd get. This unit is loud it scared our cats when it kicks on. So noisy we have to turn up our tv to hear it when the heater is running. The owner never came back to check on the install once it was complete and when we finished paying in cash the owner never even came out. He knew we were upset about the electrical in our bathrooms. Another contractor who gave us an estimate said we needed to upgrade the panel box but the owner assured my husband we didn't and the other company wanted to over charge for that......we should of listened to the other guys! It's take. Me almost a year to write this review because when I think about it makes me so mad. We still have no power in our spare bathroom which we will fix this summer. Buyer beware!!! read more

I bought a whirlpool washer from you about a year ago. Had your people out here to look at it because it was leaking the man was an idiot he ran it empty that means no load on it. He knew what he was doing just enough to screw people out of money. I am a Sun Valley resident and have been for over 20 years and the man that owns this said he takes care of Sun Valley. Well he did not take care of me. When my brother got home from Alaska he asked me why did i give you my old one he knows how to repair it unlike your people. I think the owner also purchased a mobile home that was on my brothers property. Now did he screw you out of money? So why do you want to sell something that you know is not good to me. I have talked to many people in Sun Valley that have had a bad experience with you. I am still fighting the machine I bought from you. Wish I would of kept my old one. You know word of the mouth is the best for advertisement well we know enough people to put you down. You need to make it right with people and God. I bought an older Kenmore washer and dryer set from this store a couple of months ago, they delivered, set it up and removed set I was replacing. The dryer quit working not long after the first use, when I called them they were apologetic sincerely in my opinion...they brought me out a loaner dryer with the option of keeping it as a replacement or having them repair the original purchased dryer...I opted to keep the loaner and have no regrets what so ever. After several phone calls prior to arriving Mike came & seemed to be rushed. I was told "never met a washer he couldn't fix". Until now...my washer was leaking in front. But he began unscrewing everything off the back. He then ripped the back plate off, rumpling it & then hands it to me saying "here !" He keep gasping & fusing about not finding a leak but could see water was still in the body of the walls. He turned on the washer & kept shouting in disgust "come on !" After 1 hour of this circle jerk he decides to give up, saying he was out of time. Then there was the putting all the scews back in place, another nose bleed. Shoving the washer back against the wall, saying "I'm outta time, gotta go" leaves. The good thing here is he didn't ask for any money. The man had the balls to call me the next day & apologize & ask if I'd gotta it fixed ? Nice, but I still had a leaking washer ! My neighbor gave me a referral to Reno Appliance Repair. He came. He lifted the top up & said "oh you have a clog & the washer isn't level. Fixed it in less than an hour. I will give separate review here. But bottom line is I rating one star to Sun Valley Appliance only because I can't select no stars. read more

DO NOT EVER USE SUN VALLEY APPLIANCE. Matt came out on a service call for my GE washing machine. After taking the machine apart...and $60 later...he said he couldn't find anything wrong. A day later the machine began to smoke again. I called back and rescheduled, he said the $60 would roll over to any new service. Problem is...he never showed! Now my call and messages have been ignored. I finally got through today only to have Matt tell me that he is NOT going to come back out because he couldn't find anything wrong in the first place...even after telling me he would. He said it would be a waste of his time. I asked for my $60 back since he wasn't going to honor his service. He said no. While $60 is not a ton of money, it is the principle. He should come back out at least one more time to see if perhaps he missed something. A washing machine won't smoke for no reason. DO NOT EVER USE SUN VALLEY APPLIANCE. read more

Recently I contacted this business and they stated they take donations. I was donating a dishwasher and range both in good working order. They agreed to pick them up and failed to show up or return my calls. Called them 3 times to no avail. I would never ever have them repair anything or buy a thing from them. A friend asked me to look at her dryer. She had already had a man from Sun Valley appliance come and check it before I had time to look at it. S. V. appliance said the blower motor was burned out and it would cost over a hundred dollars to repair it. I found a sock stuck in the blower motor and after removing it the dryer runs perfectly. I don't think S. V. appliance is competent to repair dryers. I also think they shouldn't charge people $70 to look but not fix something. read more

Avoid like the plague! We set up an appointment for service and when we called about an hour after the appointment time, they said they couldn't get into the building. I asked the guy why he didn't call me, and he didn't give me a straight answer- and then had the nerve to say that they are done, and not coming back to my place. I would not recommend this company to a friend or an enemy. I purchased a refrigerator for a rental home I have last June. Between June and now (February), the refrigerator has been replaced 4 times! At this point the freezer on the current frig does not work. The company was called and said they would be out that day. No one showed up or called. As a result of all these malfunctioning refrigerators, my tenant has lost about $1200 of frozen food. Do you think the company would be willing to reimburse us for even part of that expense?
