We had VJ and his team over to redo our floors in our home. VJ came to my home the first time and took measurements and next day he reached out and gave me a quote it was very reasonable and I agreed to move forward and we schedule for end of March, with a week to a week in half of work. First day they were on time and came ready to work. I was home with 2 dogs and they made the situation as comfortable as possible. in the evening they all cleaned up and left. Next day same thing on time and did some great work and cleaned up again. We were living with our dogs and kids under construction the cleaning up was very much appreciated. Originally he was not going to do my stairs (I was going to DIY it but thought he should do it) I was so grateful they did my stairs! They came out perfect! I am so happy with the work they put in. He did the molding and shoes all around the house for us. The floors were still in decent condition, but the stairs were too damaged.....full of staples and nails. I was hoping the stairs could be saved, but Vijay told it to me straight. They're not salvageable. He knew I was on a budget, so what Vijay did for me was just replace the top part of the stairs (treads) and put a matching piece of wood overlay on the bottom (riser). But it looked like I installed a whole new staircase. Vijay is passionate about his trade and it shows in his work. You can tell he has a lot of experience and loves what he does. We were given the option to order then, but were told that someone would need to come to the house for the measurements or there wouldn't be any warranty. We scheduled a visit for Tuesday. I don't know who came to the house today (sounds like it wasn't Jimmy), but he claimed the $371 figure was a mistake. He said that was the price for EACH blind, not for all 5. With some minor upgrades to that initial pick, he quoted a price of $591 per 21" x 59" window panel-- or more than $3,000. Seriously? These were the Hunter Douglas duet style blinds -- basically a venetian blind except with a "honeycomb" fabric that permits some light to come in and can open from the top or bottom. Based on Alice's earlier review, it sounds like who you deal with when trying to buy Hunter Douglas blinds in this area can make a huge difference in the quoted price. After this experience, I found and ordered something comparable online at selectblinds.com. With a 30% off coupon code and a buy 3 get 1 free offer, the total price was $229.20 with shipping and tax ($46 per pane for five 21" x 59" inside mount Cordless Top Down Bottom Up Cell Shades).

They couldn't create 1/8 slope on the shower sills so I needed to have them done somewhere else. Eric said company policy won't allow Swan to drop off the sills next door at De Luxe Cabinetry and Tiles. On the day of installation, workers came without a shower bench. Then all of a sudden, the company policy allows them to drop it off next door. When I measured after the trapezoid bench top arrived, I realized Swan polished the wrong side. Eric and his manager were unwilling to recut another piece or provide any form of compensation. This trapezoid bench top was already sloped. Swan only offered to polish the other side. But what good is that? It's already sloped. Even before it was sloped, polishing the other side and then cut flat the polished side would have made the bench top too small as it was measure as an exact fit!!
