The food is great. Drinks are pretty strong. Chill place. It's tucked away in the cut and they are friendly.

Unfortunately, they still put sour cream on the taco so had to flag someone down to help get the tacos remade. Once fixed, the tacos were fantastic and way bigger than expected! One of our party said the Carnitas taco was one of the best she'd ever had! Service was good even though the bar was absolutely packed. Still had to wait a little bit to place an order but that's to be expected.

Really fun Mexican joint with dive bar vibes…read more The service is phenomenal. Every staff member greeted up with kindness and promptness. Also noticed that they make an effort to be a more sustainable / environmentally friendly business. Most restaurants will tear thru single use plastic containers without batting an eye, but DLB is different. Now about the food. Amazing traditional Mexican style tacos is their specialty. I've never tried a taco of theirs that I didn't like. But my favorites are the carnitas and the shrimp tacos, highly recommend trying those ones. You do have to pay for chips and salsa, but they give you a lot of bang for your buck. We went here for an event so we had huge servings of everything, for about 15 people. They had a nice big section of the restaurant prepared for us. We reserved a pool table as well. And for anyone who doesn't know, this building used to be an old pool spot called Triple, they've kept the Triple sign as an homage to them. And continued to have pool tables. And I'll let you in on a little known treasure of DLB. The key lime pie. Omg it is to die for. I don't even like key lime pie that much, but *this* one? Yes!! More please.

Very big plus is our beers were half off because we also stumbled upon happy hours. The whole place was pretty big, and had a good arcade section. We definitely were able to kill time and had a lot of fun. Staff is pretty chill and let us know we could drink near the games. Can't wait to come back!

For their arcade, you have to use a card that you buy credits on to. In our opinion, the games were a little expensive. I think it's more directed towards parents who want to drink and offload their kids in this area, but for those of us already spending a good amount on drinks, the price on the games kinda sucks. We're used to a cover for all you can play or something a little more affordable. They do have a lot of great, newer games. It definitely kept us entertained for a while. They also had a great variety. It was pretty empty when we got there a little after lunch, but by 4pm or so it started raining and they were PACKED. The drinks were good, nothing special. A couple draft cocktails that tasted like you would expect. Some good beer options. It's a great spot in the area, huge bar area that can fit a lot of people and a really great patio.

I always love the atmosphere of Little Nickel when we stop in. On Friday night after a day at River…read moreRock we went for dinner and had a great evening full of laughs and good food. The restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated on the patio quickly. That evening, they had a pasta al a vodka special but I still got the lamb burger with fries. We also got the pork bowl, which was HUGE and the table favorite. The bowl had rice, beans, pineapple, shredded pork, tomatoes and pickled onions. I love the amount of food and all the toppings. It was kind of elevated chipotle! We finished the evening with coconut cream pie and a couple more Coors lights. The coconut cream pie was fluffy and slightly sweet. The only thing is the crust was a bit hard, but it was still very yummy!

The staff were polite, but we had to ask several times to get items we were missing or things we wanted extras of. They checked in on us a fair number of times, but they still forgot to return to give us what we had asked for. By the time we were ready to leave, we still haven't gotten our dressings or our condiments. I also had asked for my burger to be well done, but I got a burger with quite a bit of pink in it. I didn't want to ask for it to be placed back on the grill because I didn't really want to wait longer for my food. Although I wanted my burger to be well done and I didn't get it that way, it was still pretty good. The fries though, I think was the best part of it. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crunchy! I also ordered a coke. Just a heads up, they don't do free refills on the sodas, so each cup is $4. My party also ordered salmon l'orange and a romano salad with salmon. My friends really enjoyed their main dishes, but we did ask for extra dressing. The restaurant is decorated in a boho-style vibe, and it was cute. We found the lighting on the side dining area to be a little bit too dim once the sun went down, but I do think it would've been perfect for a date night vibe. Overall, we had an okay experience.
