What I appreciated most is that he actually owns one himself. I truly believe there's something special about someone selling a brand they personally drive. Service dropping. I didn't get my regular advisor because when making my appointment I was told he was booked, so they assigned me someone else. Got to dealership only to find out my assigned advisor was on vacation and I got the regular person I use, that's great. Purchased a vehicle here from Rick Case Acura Plantation in December and was left with a mismatched plate and registration due to a dealership processing error. I've followed up multiple times and was either ignored for several week. Finally I said I would be contacting corporate and was told it would be fixed within 48 hours -- that deadline has come and gone with no resolution and constant "let me check". I am now driving with incorrect registration, which is a legal issue, and no one at the dealership is taking accountability. This is unacceptable post-sale support. I bought a certified vehicle from out of state -- it showed up with dents, deep scratches, and no temporary license plate. That was over a month ago. Still no plate, no help, no accountability. My sales manager Vladimir Nevidomy lied about when the plates would arrive. Nobody responded to my calls or emails until I contacted Rick Case himself. Then the GM Shyl Patchell called and apologized for the condition of the car, saying it was unacceptable and promising to remedy the situation right away. He handed me off to another sales manager, Mo Saleh, who now dodges my calls just like the rest. I have been back in contact with both Mr. Patchell and Rick Case, with no response. I would advise anybody that is going to go have service done at Rick case Acura to keep looking for another mechanic. I came in with a tail light issue that wouldn't turn off and found out from two mechanics that the switch that controls the tail light was faulty. After bringing my car to Rick case and speaking to service advisor, Felipe, he explained that the whole computer system had to be replaced, which I still feel it was not the right choice, but we will see if that fixes it. But I brought my car back home. That's the day it was fixed. The car smelled like mildew. I never had a problem with water damage or leaking anywhere so I got a call the next day from the quality control person at Rick case. I explained the whole situation to them and they had me come back and said they will fix everything. The next day while paying for Uber back-and-forth I was told by Felipe that it's my fault and my car smells like sour milk, which is his words when I originally came in. First off I think Rick case needs to teach their service advisor's more customer service skills so when I asked him for the video where he would have supposedly said that the car smells when they do a 360 around the car to ensure the car they're bringing in. He denied to show it to me because obviously he didn't say that, and there was no smell. After a few days of keeping my car and paying for more Uber rides that he wouldn't of cared to help me with he pretty much said tough luck. It's either $1200 to repair the carpet and replace it even though they did the damage or they will shampoo the carpets currently and then I can come pick up the car with the mildew. After fighting then with Dean the service director he was just on the same story as Felipe backing up his service advisor and I explained again and again that I only came in with the taillight issue. How did all this come about all of a sudden when there was never a water issue ever. Then I got the general manager involved which I would give five stars to if this was a review about him because he got me a loaner and didn't want me to have to deal with the situation from his service advisor anymore. After a few weeks, they called me to come get the car back and the car smelled even worse than with with the mildew. I explained to the general manager the issue who then he got the service director involved and I asked why if Dean said that the roof was ruined from the smell didn't we replace the roof lining and Dean started to deny everything even though he told me this while yelling at me over the phone. They both explain to just take the car and drive with the windows down for a few days to try to get the smell out which they believe is the smell of the new carpet adhesive that they did cover under warranty. I had it professionally detailed spent well over $150 and product and still can I get rid of the smell out of my car and not getting any return phone calls. If you wish to deal with a problem like this, just know Felipe or Dean will never have your back and ensure that you pay the most money you can pay. The funniest part is after I got the general manager involved and he gave me the loaner when going back to the service area to complete the paperwork, Felipe wouldn't want to even be in the same room as me so he decided to leave like a child yet the general manager says he wants to keep me as a customer to come back after all this. For context, I purchased two Acura RDX models from them at one shot and I was planning to buy another two cars within the next one in two years as my cars will probably have a lot of mileage at that time, but based off this whole situation, it has put such a bad taste in my mouth and I hope you the next customer Possibly wouldn't have to deal with something like this and go to a place that will actually take care of you. read more

I was shopping for a used truck. I'd done a load of research online and had narrowed down our options between a truck at Rick Case Acura and one at another dealer. The truck at Rick Case was newer but $800 over my budget. It was my top choice. Unfortunately, they said they couldn't come down the $800 to make my deal happen so I bought the other truck at the other lot. The sales people were helpful but finding out the "out the door" number was not as straight forward as it should be and the sticker on the truck was thousands of dollars more than what they were advertising online so if you just happen to walk the lot... make sure to check the online price before starting negotiations. Once we couldn't get the number that I needed, the salesman started to try and get me to add more money by suggesting I put it on my credit card then telling me that the other car lot was shady and couldn't be trusted. I purchased a brand new MDX A Spec from Vlad & Mitesh last June 2023. The experience was really amazing. I ended up referring my co-worker who bought a TLX Type S and my sister-in-law who bought an MDX Type S. All three of us had the same experience. Vlad was the most sincere, knowledgeable and professional salesperson I have ever dealt out. Mitesh was also amazing - the entire process was smooth, transparent and professional. I had to buy a car recently because my old car died. Rick Case Acura was recommended to me by a friend. The sales staff were very nice; and not at all pushy. I test drove several late model choices. They just so happened to have a trade-in, low mileage, Hyundai Tucson which was much nicer than I thought I could afford. I left the dealership to think about it, returning the next day to buy. The sales, service and finance teams all treated so special. I was really taken care of, even filled up the gas and made sure I was really happy with my purchase. I contacted them days in advance and told them that I needed to bring my 2020 Acura MDX Sh-AWD Tech SUV into the dealership as I was experiencing technical problems with the GPS system. I sent emails to Dean Dumetz showing the issues with the unit and asked for a loan car to be ready for when I arrived. When I arrived today, I communicated with Service Advisor Agustin Grandinetti and Francisco about the problems... They did a write-up and it seemed everything was good to go... Unfortunately, they did not have a loaner car for me. They literally told me to call Uber... I had set up this appointment day in advance and explain the situation??? I told them when I made the appointment I was going to need a loaner car if they were going to keep my car and replace the broken GPS unit. For Rick Case who claims to be the biggest and the best...the service just keeps deteriorating and honestly just became PISS POOR!!! Two Thumbs Down... FUTURE CUSTOMERS AVOID!!! I just don't get how you buy a $50,000 vehicle and it's within warranty that you don't get proper service and a loaner car from the dealership. I have never experienced this elsewhere with other Acura's, Lincolns and Lexus. Immediately after I left, I contacted PINES ACURA and made an appointment and asked if I was going to get a loaner car and the service tech there said yes...without any hesitation. Poor service from the service department at your Plantation FL location. I purchased an MDX from Acura in Plantation FL in July and had the best service from my sale team Compton and his manager was excellent... 15years ago I purchased my first Acura in Texas and had the best experience on my purchase and with the service I received from the service Department. I currently have a very high demanding management position at American Airlines in Miami FL which requires me to be in the operating. I have had 2 service issues with my new vehicle within a few months of my purchase and have had to sit at Acura for hours at a time. The service department can't drop me off in Miami to work and they wouldn't provide a loaner vehicle so I don't have to miss another day off work. When I explained my concerns with the Acura representative she share it would take 6 months or more for me to get a loaner vehicle. This vehicle doesn't have 7,000 mile and I have an issue with a brake sensor and the company that sold me this vehicle will not take care of this issue with transportation while they work on my vehicle. Poor service I will have to consider making a different move regarding this purchase. Some of my family members currently own another vehicle with Lexis and Mercedes that provide loaner vehicles an excellent service. read more

I spent WEEKS following up with the service dept for a part that was schedule to arrive for my brand new TLX that I purchased back in March. I've spoken with Bruce, Moe, even texted & called my service advisor Augustin and still, weeks later, no status update on when I can bring my car in for service. I've blown two days of work waiting for a loaner only to be told that I would receive a call back once there was a loaner available, and shockingly, I was still 5th in line. Every time I call, I get falsely reassured that I will get a call back with a status update and that my complaints would be escalated to higher level. It is abundantly clear my complaints have fallen upon deaf ears. If only I would receive the same type of courtesy from the service dept that I otherwise received when purchasing the vehicle. Perhaps I am the foolish one for thinking my loyalty as a customer mattered - apparently it's only my pocket book. I will never do business with Rick Case Acura again. Once I arrived I drove the vehicle (I bet you were thinking they didn't have it) and really liked it. Then they added $4000 to the price after being told MSRP plus accessories TWICE. Last time I went to a Rick Case Dealership it was VW and they low balled my trade, when I said no thanks they offered to raise the trade value. It was too late then and its too late now. In all honesty, It seems to me that all their dealerships are run to benefit them and no one else. When I left a review on Yelp for their VW store a manager replied asking me to reach out, Guess what? No answer, no reply because at Rick Case dealerships they get everything from you they can. I want to start by saying that my review is specific to the Service Department and the service I've received from that department over the 14 years as a customer at Rick Case Acura. There is no perfect dealership or service department but with 2 Acura purchases under my belt from Rick Case and entrusting Rick Case Team with my cars upkeep I am very pleased with my experiences; which is why I've rated them 5 Stars. Over there years they have worked hard to maintain a flow to the service department and have added team members to help in that process. Kudos for acknowledging the need to add staff in order to add customer service value and experience. Today for instance Francisco Garcia who has been my service advisor for years has always been very professional, makes sure that everything was taken care of, listens very well to my concerns and follows up which is extremely important. The service team on a Saturday is always very busy! I was amazed at the timing I was in and out. Today was a first I've experienced the shortest wait time and I commend everyone who is making that happen. Note to Customers: honestly be patient, make an appointment!!!! For goodness sake make an appointment unless obviously it's an emergency but make an appointment!!! Things go smoother for everyone when you have an appointment. Waiting Room: Nice job providing complimentary snacks, coffee and water for customers. Great that there are two areas with TVs to wait for your car. My only suggestion and opinion is that it may be time to order new seating and also give the waiting rooms a small upgrade to modernize it a little. On November 09/24/2021 we purchased a 2021 RDX. The purchase process was fast and fair but the problem came with financing and the over charges they made for the tag and title. We called and talked to financing many times and never got an explanation for the excessive charges and they even tried to blame the state for the excessives charges something that is illegal . Under that situation we Emailed them and copied the general manager but never got and answer from either one of them. Be aware of the over charges made by the dealer at time of closing because ones they get your money you won't get help not even from the general manager. read more

After given written confirmation of a deal, they tacked on an additional $200 for tags, which they had previously said was included. In addition, I asked for 15k miles and was given 12k + 2.5k miles forgiveness. I was later told, after signing, that the 2.5k forgiveness was not guaranteed. Treating customers like this is unconscionable and unfair. I gave them an opportunity to make it right and they promised to call me back. After two weeks, I have not gotten a call back. read more

I purchased my "certified" Acura RDX at Rick Case Acura. I searched the Internet, and I chose this car since it was "certified." My sales agent, Robert, was very good, patient, and helpful. But the managers were a mess. They wanted to charge me extra since it was certified. But if you advertise that it certified with a price, that's what it should be. Certified usually means that they do extra checks on the car to make sure it is in excellent condition. I later found out that I was missing the locking wheel nut key. If it was certified, that should've been checked for and replaced. Now they want me to come in and pay for a new set. Went to Trade in a car with a friend. Told them what we want, how long we had so they were fast. What she wanted was more then she wanted to spend however with a 10 minute negotiation everyone got what they wanted ran credit, we left once the car was clean and paperwork was ready to sign she went back. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We spent a total of an hour. She new exactly what she wanted and didn't need to test drive. I highly recommend this dealership. read more

Well...we're back. Rick Case finally bought my car back - the lemon, with the "Certified Pre-Owned" sticker on it that legit means nothing (in case you're wondering). So I snag a new one from them, and work with the team below. When I buy my new car, Dave Karsten, lovely gent that he is say..."We can't find your second key. BUT we'll get you a new one." Well, he finds the second key. Then quits, and tells NO ONE where it is. It took me 6 months to get a new key, and LOTS of arguing (which doesn't shock me). SO I have this new TLX. It's a year old. They swear up and down, no issues. Let's play a game called how many times have I taken it back, since I've owned it less than a year? 3. 3 times. Want to guess for what? Electrical problems that every time I bring it there, they look me in the eyes and assume I'm nuts. They magically "can't find anything" and then I pull off the lot and my actuators go nuts. i never. even knew. what a FREAKIN' ACTUATOR WAS until these two cars. Bruce...you are the new hero. He has taken his TIME. He has pushed the mechanics. And I pray when I get it back it will be the THIRD AND FINAL TIME. Before I sell it and move on. I showed up promptly for my 10:15 service appointment only to be told the part required for the recall was not in stock; no one ever told me this during the appointment process or in the myriad of reminder emails and texts I received before the appointment. Since I was there, I asked them to proceed with the oil change & tire rotation. The Service Advisor said it would be an hour and forty-five minutes. Two hours later, I asked for a progress report; and was told they hadn't even started on the car! In short, I sat there for two hours for nothing, plus an hour round trip drive. What can be said about Rick Case Acura? Well yes it is the oldest Acura dealer in the nation..YES it looks like it too. This run down dealership is in the middle of a very bad poor neighborhood that resembles a ghetto to many. Benny Chahal is the General Manager and this place suits him very well. The dealership looks rough and so does he. I guess all those years of being a first rate liar is starting to take its toll on Mr. Chahal. I can state firsthand about his unethical practice of lies and untruths. The real sad part is at the end of the day he will sit along with the other members of management and laugh about all the people who they fooled out of their hard earned money. He takes great pride in choosing his words wisely to have customers and others believe him to be saying one thing and then to try to explain something completely different once you confront him about it. This dealer also is known to advise you that they have colors, models and makes in stock over the phone and internet only to have you pull in and then state "ohh we just sold that car" or "we do have it but it's at the port"...all of these are just an excuse to get you into the dealership so they can tell you more untruths. He will also try to add fees to any totals quoted for things such as destination, dealer fee, processing ect. The building is full of water damage, mold and an overall crappy feel to it. This dealership is the armpit of any luxury brand. If you desire a beverage when you arrive you may be in a state of shock when you try the very bad instant coffee or tap water. Yes that is all they have...and if you do buy a car they will coach you to answer the factory survey that the sales staff offered you a "quality" beverage. The survey also asks you if you cannot live without your Acura. They actually want you to answer on the survey that you cannot live without your Acura as if you were to die if it went away somehow. Bottom line is if you want to be lied to and sit all day in a dump of a dealership then this is the place to be otherwise you should consider your options. OH due to the bad neighborhood it is also a fact that customers cars have been stolen from here and even the employees have had items such as phones, ipads and keys stolen from them as well. I was in the market for an SUV and I came back to this place since I had a pretty decent experience 10 years ago and bought my car there. Not sure what happened but it was a terrible experience when it came to negotiating. The sales manager was condescending and was not willing to really negotiate with us.
