Literally the worst service I have ever experienced. After taking the ferry from West Van and treking out there with my son's hockey team, we showed up at the restaurant after the rest of the team had been seated. There were about 20 people in the restaurant, all of which were my son's team, and the capacaity looked about 60 people or so. The hostess just said 'we cannot serve you'. I asked if we could just sit with my team and not order, she said 'no'. So we walked down the way and had a nice Tim Horton's breakfast. We will be back in the area for hockey many times in the years to come and will definitely not be going to Ricky's! read more

We were in town for a wedding over the weekend and we were on the search for some good ol' hang over food. Why not go to rickys? We were seated pretty fast and I went to the washroom first I came out and my friends were already sitting. They hadn't been greeted by the waitress yet and we began to wait it was probably about 15 minutes. She was busy with another larger table but, she could of said she would be a moment because we felt a little ignored... Soon after we mentioned that to each other she had came over and said she'd be back in a moment to take or order. She had taken our order down I ordered the chorizo bowl and requested sour dough toast my husband wasn't even asked which toast he wanted with his meal. I guess she forgot. I mentioned to my husband if he asked for sourdough too and he said he didn't mention anything so we let the server know he would like sourdough bread Her response was... " I'll see what I can do" what a weird response what does that even mean? Lol she was a strange lady. Anyways our meals came and she gave me my food with whole wheat bread instead of sour dough. I said I asked for sour dough but, you brought me the wrong toast. She asked me what she should do with the toast. I said take it away man I don't want it. She was just awkward and not very polite even when she messed up not apologetic at all. When my bread did come it was like buttered so hard that my toast was flattened out. Finally got the chance to go to Ricky's! Well worth the wait. New menu, AMAZING! Old and new favorites. Portions are generous, food is made to perfection and the service is the best ever. We needed to plug my daughter's power chair in...and the ladies made sure we could. Seriously with costs going up everywhere and businesses having staffing issues, if you go to Ricky's, you won't be overcharged or disappointed. We've been customers there for a long time and it's a family favourite...breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We take our out of town guests there all the time. Thanks Kim, and all the staff. read more

We came here this morning with some friends to watch World Cup final and had breakfast. The place is quite spacious but unfortunately the tv's are a bit too small for the space. The Yolk breakfast was quite nice with a decent portion. read more

One star because the food tasted decent. My boyfriend and I came in on Saturday morning and both ordered chorizo breakfast bowls. Service was slow and it seemed like the waitress didn't want to be there at all. They were also really loud taking amongst each other , like yelling at across the resturant about their inventory. When our food was up I watched it sit in the window for a few minutes while our waitress was hanging out with the hostess. We never had our waters topped up and my boyfriend found a HAIR in his food. read more

Came in for brunch requesting a table for 5 and felt immediately unwelcomed. They told us they would not be able to accommodate us for at least another half hour and that we were allowed to bring our dog inside - or tie her up outside. Our host went to ask her manager if there's any chance they could seat us, even if it meant splitting into two groups, to which the manager flat out said "no". As we were leaving we noticed that there were empty tables in opened sections including a table that could easily seat five. We were excited to have breakfast at this location for the menu looked very good, however upon this experience I would not recommend for the staff made us feel poorly. read more

I wish I could give a half star . This was the worst restaurant I have ever been too . All our breakfast came cold . My grandsons waffle came so hard we couldn't cut easily and was also cold . To boat the waitress had the biggest attitude after we sent back some of her our order a few times . Never ever again will I go back or recommend this place . Stay away !!!! read more

Ricky's has the best breakfast on the Coast! Huge selection and portions that two can easily share...which we did. We swapped out the grated hash browns for breakfast potatoes. Delicious. We also love so many of the sandwiches and seasonal features. They had a real Thanksgiving plate with all of the favourites. The servers are sometimes a little disorganized but that's typical on the Coast. Our server was kind enough to steer us away from a dish that was not quite perfected yet. If you haven't tried it in a while, it is definitely worth a revisit. Fantastic comfort food! read more

20 of us (10 under the age of 9) descended upon Ricki's on a rainy Canada Day morning. After the initial wide-eyed reaction of the waitress who informed us that there were only 2 of them on that morning, we were seated and Cheryl took care of us like a rockstar! It's been a long time since my wife and I didn't enjoy going out for supper, but our experience this evening was one of those experiences. From not having their advertised Mexican menu because 'they were out of most of the essentials', to prime rib sandwich which was fatty and flavorless and when we complained being told that's way it was because they had to buy everything correct, to being overcharged for drinks that were on the specials menu. Don't bother with this restaurant when there so many much better ones in the Sechelt area. read more
