Love the food. I can't give it 5 stars because the music they play is horrible! I know, I am old, but come on, it is screaming at me!

These are truly some of the best tacos I've ever had! You may even need a fork. The dip we ate was fantastic as well.

Went here for an early dinner on Friday 8/25/23. Place wasn't super busy yet, so that was nice. Deja was our server and she was wonderful from the start- very friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, as always! Started with queso & chips-YUM. I ordered 2 tacos: Frito Bandito & the Taco of the Month " The Italian Stallion. Husband ordered The Handle Bar & The Crown. Frito Bandito was so good! Many different textures and flavors going on! Crunchy from the Fritos, fresh from the toppings, and creamy from the sauce. Tortilla was super fresh too. TOTM- just like a yummy chicken Parm, but in taco form! Saucy, lots of mozzarella and crispy chicken! I let my hubby try a bite and he almost didn't give it back! The Handle Bar looked good too! Full of toppings and flavors! The Crown was tasty according to my husband, but he preferred The Handle Bar. Overall, we had a great dinner & experience. Our family was split with our feelings about Ricochet tacos. Interesting combination of ingredients and flavors, unique, questionable and tasty were some of our opinions about their tacos. Did not have a gluten free menu, but the corn tacos are safe. Definitely let them know of your intolerances if you have any. Half of us we go back and they others who are Mexican Food snobs, wouldn't go again. The Hostess/Host was indifferent, and our server was a bit flighty. It is a bit loud too. I never came here before. I was greeted diligently and quickly sat for lunch. I sat at the bar and had Amanda serve me. Very friendly nice person that wasn't afraid to express her honest opinion. She let me try a few brews and I narrowed it down to "half acre". I also let Amanda know I like surprised so I let her pick a couple tacos for me. She chose a no country. It had a very sweet mango taste to it with the perfect mix with the beef I had. The second was a true romance. A chicken taco with a mix of heat ranch and Buffalo sauce. She must know me better then I know me because I never would have picked either, but was EXTREMELY happy with her choices. I highly recommend. read more

I usually go to the one in Valparaiso. I like the food OK. Margaritas are great. This was the first time I was at the location in Crown point. The music was so loud that I had to ask for it to be turned down. It was lunchtime. I honestly don't understand why the music needed to be at "club" volume. It did get turned down a little bit and then I went into the bathroom and got blasted by the volume again. I don't care how good the food may be, if I have to shout across the table at my lunch partner, it is not an enjoyable experience.I admit that their choices of music is were not what I would choose to listen to, so that doesn't help. However, I don't think there's any excuse for any restaurant to be blasting its customers and they are trying to enjoy their food and some conversation. read more

Ok here's the T.. if you want a cool experience that you cannot get elsewhere and are willing to not be a cheap azz you will love it and enjoy the experience. If you're not afraid of trying something different do it! And if not.. they will alter any taco for you .. if you're looking for real Mexican. I wish I could give Ricochet zero stars. These aren't tacos. They are an atrocity disguised as tacos. No one that enjoys real Mexican food should ever go to this place. Not only do they combine horribly-made ingredients that do not belong together, but the individual ingredients are not tasty at all. i mean... this place is so good. stopped in crown point (i don't live locally) to grab coffee and walk around and i had to stop here because who doesn't love tacos? super super friendly staff, super cool, fun environment, and the food is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! will definitely have to come back!! read more

Honestly this spot rules. I think people get mad at more expensive tacos but these tacos are epic. I've had a lot of tacos and I love that they have a variety, they're filling and the drinks here are great. The staff is friendly and the space is dope. I love going here especially in the summer and sitting outside. Taco haters can go eat Taco Bell. If they haven't noticed yet chalupas are expensive AF and give you the runs. So I'd much rather invest in quality tacos and drinks and go home fat and happy. read more

Cute place, lovely presentation, great service, fun vibe. Tacos are super pricey so unless we had a fluke they weren't made to order. The poke tuna taco was not edible and shouldn't have been served as the fish was going bad. The fried chicken was dry and the steak was burnt. We also had the queso dip which was ok. Great tacos, good drinks, friendly and helpful staff. The tacos are very tasty and they have a new taco every month. If you are a marooned Texan, you can get your Torchies tacos fix here. This is a sit down type restaurant, not fast food, and the prices are as such. You can easily spend $100 for a family dinner with drinks. My only complaint is that the drinks are tiny and not worth the amount you are paying. read more

Food, drinks and service was amazing and delicious! The tacos are not your usual tacos - they are gourmet tacos and priced very reasonably for the loaded meat and fillings! Their guacamole is excellent, and their chips are very light and tasty! The drinks - try their Watermelon Strawberry Margarita on the Rocks! So so good! And Zach is an amazing server. Went for the first time last night and will never step foot in there again. I was so excited to try this place, but left without eating anything. We put our names on a waiting list online and checked in when we got there. Got the text that our table was ready and when they were walking us to our table THAT is when they told us they couldn't seat our party of 7 due to the new lake county restrictions. Ok, no problem. Following the Covid restrictions is respected. We asked if they could just split us up into 2 tables. Ohhhh no.... we will have to put you back on the wait list. Whaat??? I asked the manager why and she said that it's just not fair to the people who are waiting for a table. Ummmmm.... you knew our group was 7 people when we put our names on the online wait list AND when we checked in in person ... and now as you are seating us it becomes problematic? I asked to talk with the owner just to let him know how this went down and to see if maybe he would split us into two tables without having to be pot back on the wait list. After talking to him, he agreed that the hostesses didn't handle it correctly and he was going to split us into two tables. As we were talking, my husband came back into the restaurant to see what was going on and the owner lost his mind. He told my husband that it's none of his business and to back off and that's when things got ugly. The owner should be ashamed of himself for the way he spoke to us. Absolutely despicable, deplorable, and downright DISGUSTING. I have zero interest in giving them my business when the Covid restrictions lift. This was handled unprofessionally and the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and we didn't eat a bite. We happily took our business to another establishment on the square and had a wonderful meal in a festive atmosphere where the host/manager treated us kindly and it was so appreciated. This is really a terrific place with very good food and large selection. My wife and I dined here on a whim. We were seated quickly. There are upstairs and downstairs dining areas. There are booths and tables. We selected a booth. Our wait person arrived in 5 min., was very pleasant and attentive and sked if we had questions about the menu. We started with the chips and quacamole. The quacamole was simply the best we have had, really fresh with large chuncks of fresh quac. My wife and I ordered tacos. I had the No Country for Old Men (I'm am old by the way, so a good fit) and The Crosshairs. Both tacos were simply deliciious. My wife had the Gin Jitsu with ahi tuna. Our waitress communicated that the ahi tuna was raw if that was okay or it could be seared. My wife opted for "seared." Her taco as well was delicious. We did not stay for desert though we eyed a desert coming out of the kitchen that looked very, very good. If you are looking for a new experience and very flavorful food with great service this is your place. read more
