2 Hot slices with a drink makes a very reasonable lunch deal. Slice was good with just enough cheese and grease to keep eating. My only negative on the slices were they were too thin to hold the cheese. But the cheese was delicious. You ever walk into a store and you just smell the deliciousness of the food they're making and then you see all sorts of different style pizzas with different toppings and you can get a slice and you say I'm gonna get one of each. Well, that's how I felt when I got into this place. It took everything in my power not to eat every single slice or try one of each when I got here. Lasagna and salad were both delicious! Service was great except for one thing. Lasagna on the menu is listed at $15. Bill came and it said $17.51. I told the server that the menus should be updated to reflect new prices. She said that it was because I used a credit card. I would have liked to have been told that ahead of time. I just returned to get the name of the terrific young lady, Zhen, who helped us. Zhen has found herself admitting after 3 years working at Rico's, " to LOVE to cook" . When you find staff as genuine, happy, and hardworking , the realization of this definitely adds a special ' kinship' towards the establishment. Zhen's enthusiasm and joy in preparing her dishes and pizzas shows in her ' finished product' ! Today I again ordered my favorite medium pizza with thin slices of cooked eggplant / Italian sausage with EXTRA sauce, plus their chicken and pasta Alfredo (added some kosher salt) made with fresh cream and lots of genuine butter - - delicious! - -wish there were more Alfredo sauce! Zhen works at Rico's all day Wednesdays and Sundays (9am to 10 pm), then 10-4 Mondays, 4-10 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Dined in at Rico's. Very small place with limited seating but the Pizza was DELICIOUS! Former NY'er and this is by far the best pizza we have had in Florida so far. It is not a polished place, more a place with character, the dining area home to both a British telephone booth and a stack of flour bags. They also have a TV. I stopped in for lunch. They have a large menu, including many pizza options. I saw a few others getting pizza by the slice, a quick lunch option. For me I decided on the Carnivore, one of their specialty combo pizzas. You guessed it, all meat. My 10" personal sized beauty was ready in about 15 minutes. It had a traditional crust, not oily, and was very good. Love Rico's pizza it's more than just pizza. It's an experience all the pasta dishes are like family style, lots of food where you can actually split any of those pasta dishes and the pizzas to me were outstanding, very thin crust, delicious fresh hot, and the service cut. It was good. They do have multiple locations. We normally go to the one on Bay Road Across from the public shopping center and the service is great. You could sit at the counter or beers or sit at the tables. They are really good desserts as well and the ambience is nice. It's got a really cool feeling and like I said the food is delicious, but be prepared to take leftovers home or split a plate. read more

We used to love this place. We order the hot wing pizza all the time but the last two orders have been extremely subpar. We ordered a hot wing pizza on Sunday June 11th for pick up at around 4:30pm The dough is so wet in the middle the crust completely rips off from the pizza when you try to pick it up, even the box was soaked in grease there was so much grease it was impossible to eat again as the dough was too wet. I hate to write this review but this is the second time we couldn't even enjoy the pizza and hope it can be corrected to come out like it used to. Never tried Rico's before, and we decided to pick up a cheese pizza tonight. Staff was friendly, and our order was made within the quoted time for pickup. Unfortunately, this was just one of the worst pizzas I've ever tasted. I thought it would be thin and crispy, but I guess I was looking at old pictures, bc this pizza was super doughy, undercooked, and the cheese was really white and almost sour. And they gave it to us with a bunch of oregano/herbs sprinkled on top, not sure why they do this automatically without asking the customers first. Was hoping for a good mom and pop pizza place, so I really wanted to like this restaurant but just couldn't. Pizza was just average at best. The chicken Alfredo, was totally swimming in a gluey thick "Alfredo" sauce. Somehow it managed to be cold on the top and hot underneath. Blackened chicken was chopped like it had been previously chewed. No care whatsoever. The salad that came with the dinner was wilted and old. Mushrooms were so old they had turned black, tomato was over ripe as was the onion. Lettuce was browning and wilted. The kicker was, when we sent it back, we didn't ask for a replacement btw, the waitress came back and said they wanted to know if we had tasted it! They said they tasted it and it tasted fine. Who needs to taste salad that looks like that to know it's old! No apology or anything. It came with my meal but before bringing it the waitress asked if I really wanted it, I should have taken that as a sign. The garlic bread also average. Adding to that the female chef in the open kitchen was 'f'ing during just a normal conversation. The place is overrun in hanging signs and things on the wall. Ok, maybe it's supposed to be eclectic. But it's just dirty, very dirty. All that stuff is just collecting dust, grime and grease. The place stinks of grease and oil. The fridge looks like it's never been cleaned and we could see into the kitchen where old food and stuff was under the appliances and sink. It's just gross. Paint peeling. There's really no excuse, it needs a good clean out, coat of paint and a cleaning schedule. We saw lots of people taking out pizza. There are way better, cleaner places around. read more
