    Great atmosphere.

I had the Kobe style burger with a side Cesar and the Mrs. had the Market Bistro salad with chicken. Great flavours! Walnuts in the salad were a nice touch. Capers in the Cesar were awesome. Wife loves the salad and the burger was great and juicy! Great place for a good meal if you're staying by the airport. Great for a layover!

My expectation of Rics Grill is that of an upscale casual franchise steakhouse and at first glance, that's the feeling it conveys by the large wine bottle glass display at the entrance, the funky bar set up and comfortable trendy seating throughout the dining room. And that's about it hehehe. When it comes to service and the meals, that's a whole different story. Take an elegant place and add Denny's greasy spoon service and you get this Rics Grill. Our party of 7 endured a dinner that stretched the span of over three hours. The highlight of the evening was the red lentil and beef soup which was excellent and came very fast; had I known, I would have grabbed a bowl to go and avoided this sad experience! ... read on lol. After the good start from the soup, things went downhill from there. Next some appetizer of stuffed mushrooms came to the table which were ok and about an hour and fifteen minutes (yes that's over an hour later); the steaks. I had the 10oz New York striploin which was terrible, tough and fatty, appeared panfried and not flame grilled with the broiler marks. What kind of a steakhouse panfries its steaks; yuck!!!! I had ordered no starch and steamed vegetables for my sides. Well, the vegetables looked great and farm-to-table as advertised BUT, yes, unfortunately there is a BUT- the veggies were swimming in butter; I mean there was so much butter lathered on those poor veggies that the carrots alone could do laps in that fat pool!!! Not to mention the rest of the party got their meals spaced out so we each finished at various times; had they waited for everyone to get their plate; everything would've been cold and worsened the aggravation! Desserts were so-so. We had given up by then on loitering any longer and wanted to leave ASAP. So, we spent all this time in there, only to remember how carrots do laps in a pool of butter accompanied with trailer park service. Would we return or recommend Rics again? "No, thank you."

    Great steak

Thought I would give this Ric's another try after being emailed by the Manager when I gave it a bad review. And I'm happy to say that my meal was top notch. I had a New York and it was a perfect medium. It was a little pricey but worth it.

Food was very good but was also quite pricy.

We saw they were going to open at 11am, and decided to try our luck by getting there right at opening since we didn't have a reservation. We got lucky and got seated right away! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you take note of how long you paid for! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The ambiance inside is so nice and airy, with greenery and natural light shining through. There's also a super cute swing area next to the bar area that you can sit. I really liked the overall interior design! The staff was very attentive for our large party throughout our meal. There are bathrooms downstairs as well. - FOOD - Bacon Jam Benedict ($20.00): Loved the flavor combination in this! The sweet savory maple bacon jam worked so well! We upgraded to the fried potatoes ($4.00) and they were pretty tasty. Carrot Cake French Toast ($24.00): We got one to share with the table, and I'm glad we didn't commit because it was just OK to me. I wish there was more mascarpone filling, and also a different sauce than chocolate because it didn't pair well for me. Winter Nights ($19.00): We wanted to get some greens in and chose this salad. I enjoyed the mix of greens and also the fennel salami which gave a salty bite! Truffle Parm Fries ($13.00): We also got this to share with the table and you can't go wrong with these! - OVERALL - Great brunch option if you have a small or large group! Really nice airy ambiance for a nice start to your day.

As the morning went on, it seemed to fill up fast so I recommend making a reservation. Vibes: Bright, airy space decorated with lots of plants. There were many tables available including 4 swing seats by the bar. Very cute inside! Bathrooms are downstairs. Street parking only. Service: For a party of 12, our servers provided great and quick service. Food: -Cold Brew ($6) with Sweet Cream ($1): it seemed that the cream curdled in the drink. The taste was okay but it got the job done. -Breakfast Bowl ($24): braised beef short rib with 2 poached eggs on a bed of caramelized onion fried potatoes. Large serving, it was perfect to share with 2-3 people. -Kale Caesar ($19): topped with cheese croutons which were interesting. Also great to share with 2 people. Overall: Porch is a cute brunch place that can fit a large party. If you're looking for an aesthetic place, I recommend this place!

**Decent overall, but missed the mark on execution and service consistency.**…read more We were searching for Japanese food near our Airbnb, and Donkari popped up. The menu reminded me of some of my favorite Bay Area spots, like Gochi, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 6 PM to a fully packed house, which is usually a great sign of a successful restaurant. **What we ordered:** Tempura udon, salmon sashimi, buta yaji don (pork bowl), and ice cream. My daughter absolutely loved her meal and is already demanding we come back. Seeing her so happy with the food was a huge win, and I'd be more than willing to return just for her. For me, however, the experience was a mixed bag. I purposely ordered the buta yaki don because it's always a great test of how a kitchen handles pork. Unfortunately, the execution wasn't 100% right. The meat seemed to just be pan-fried, leaving a blatant, unfiltered pork smell. I hope it could have been marinated more to get rid of the smell. Overall, it's a decent spot, and we will be returning for sure!

My friends and I got and shared the Katsu udon, classic gyu don, and karaage curry. Every single dish was a banger; I especially loved the gyu don with perfectly seasoned beef and the rice soaking up the sauce. I liked that each dish came with a couple side dishes like tofu, tempura egg, or miso soup. Everything was priced around $18-23. The service was also very friendly; we raved about how delicious the food was, and our server seemed delighted to hear that. So here's your chance to go try the food out and tell her the same thing!

This is an incredibly mixed bag. I'll start with the negatives so I can end with the good stuff…read more As someone else mentioned, the wings are on the smaller side, but 15 for around $14 isn't a bad deal these days and frankly I'd prefer more smaller than less bigger. Personal preference, but obviously not everyone will agree with that. The bigger issue is that they are breaded. The pictures on the website make it look like they are traditional chicken wings, they definitely aren't and there is quite a bit of breading on them. This matters for a few reasons. The first is unless you are talking boneless "wings" a traditional chicken wing is unbreaded. If you serve a dish that is prepared in a non-traditional manner you should probably footnote that. The next issue is caused by the first. When you have a breaded wing that is then spun the breading gets soggy and you essentially end up with a chicken sponge. When your restaurant only functions as a takeout/delivery location that sogginess gets compounded by the breading taking on moisture from the steam. Hot soggy mess. The good? Well the Extra Hot sauce is actually extra hot! Which is great! Most places their hot tastes like ketchup and their "extra hot" tastes like ketchup that was stored near a bottle of Franks Hot Sauce. The sauce was well flavored and a great heat level. Other thing, their blue cheese is just so-so, but their garlic dipping sauce is outstanding. It almost reminds me of the garlic sauce that schwarma places serve. The lady working there was also really nice.
