When we asked if we can choose our scooter, the staff responded that they would choose one for us, and they gave us the worst one. So there is no choice at all. Raisel here at Sobe rentals is the best!…read more We walked in around 10:30am (no reservation), just looking to see if there were any scooters to rent. Raisel was inside ready to offer us a scooter to go. Filled out all the necessary paperwork, ($200) deposit, and payment. If you need copies, just ask he will give everything to you. Also make sure to take his card, as we contacted him a few times and if he didn't answer, text worked great. We informed him that although we were renting for full day, we needed to be back earlier about 3pm to head to the airport. He kindly showed us where the scooter was parked in the garage, and gave us the code to enter so that when we do come back, if he was not around we could drop off the scooter without waiting for him. Also, when we left Raisel assured me the deposit processes same day after drop-off. The next day, I still didn't receive a refund notification so I texted him. He responded immediately and looked into it; made sure the deposit went back to me with receipt. Communication is great! The scooter itself was a bit banged up, so always remember as they takes their pictures of dents/dings, you do the same. The gas tank was just before full, he advised to come back with it the same but it only needs $2 to fill up. We went everywhere up and down south beach to downtown Miami. It was so much fun exploring on our own without restriction or worrying about paying for multiple ride-shares. Just make sure you always cover yourself when going to any rental (especially family businesses like this) - asking to see the scooter before you sign anything is perfectly fine so you know what you're purchasing.
