The instructors are top notch and they keep adding talented new instructors yearly! Nathan and Christina are my new instructor faves. Riley is my all-time favorite instructor. She challenges more than you could ever expect and makes you want to rise to meet it! The staff gets to know you. They celebrate your milestones. We have themed rides. We play cycling bingo. As someone who spins frequently, I decided to switch things up and attend a RIDE class for the first time yesterday. I arrived for the 5:45AM class and the woman at the front was welcoming and quickly got me checked in. I like the vibrant colors of the studio and all of the adorable merch they sell here. Additionally, I appreciate that their merch isn't overly branded with their logo or business name. Once checked in, the instructor came out to introduce herself and chat a bit - she was great! I was shown to the classroom and they helped me switch my bike as I didn't love my original space. I should've taken more guidance on the bikes as they were different than my normal studio and things like "the lever" ended up not making sense to me during class. The studio room itself felt a bit tighter than some of the other studios I've visited but still it had a fun atmosphere and got people together. The class itself had great music and our instructor did the queues appropriately so I knew what was coming up. Compared to where I normally ride, there was quite a bit more quick cardio out of the sadly where people seemed to just throw themselves up rather than maintaining control which I didn't love (and chose not to do myself). Purely from a personal preference point, I also did not love the bikes themselves as they don't have monitors to manage the RPM and Gear. While this is good for some, I prefer to use metrics for my ride. All in all, this was a great studio worth giving a chance and it's only because of a few personal preferences that it wasn't my new favorite. read more

At first I was iffy, no lie. I do not like cycling classes but I went because it fit in my time. I was a little off put by the music choice. But when Taryn got up and started dancing and bringing her energy, I was all in. I sweat so much. Part of it may be that the air wasn't on and there weren't any fans and the room was packed. Might as well have worked out outside but it made for an excellent workout. read more

Absolutely Love Ride! The best cycling product I have ever experienced. Movements are all intentional and while classes can be challenging, they are always safe for all levels. Best way to burn lots of calories while strengthening your whole body and improving your all around coordination. Their Instructors (all of them) are not only athletes, but also great coaches and entertainers. I've been attending this cycling studio for years and never tire because of the *amazing* instructors, fabulous choreo and fire playlists. It's a great workout, but so super fun, as well. I love how balanced the format is so that you get a combo of cardio and resistance work. It's also a supportive and encouraging community with friendly fellow riders and staff. I tried out a RIDE Cycling class today, and the bad news is that I died 3 times during class. I initially thought Maggie was going to let me take the easy way out since it was my first time, but Maggie told me to get my ass up, and that is exactly what I did. Her energy was so infectious that I found the energy to finish to class....I had not been to a cycling class in about 7 years so I was very nervous. I have to say that every employee was very welcoming, helpful, and kind. I am strongly considering making this class a part of my routine. read more

I took my first class at Ride (not to be confused with Ryde) over the weekend and it was awesome! The staff were super welcoming and friendly. The studio is clean and modern. Lockers and a water fill-up station are available. Compared to other studios the bikes here are a little older and don't capture any data like watts and speed which is the only negative thing I can say. Will was the instructor and he was great! Super energetic and very easy to follow. The music had a strong beat so I was never lost. I had kind of a weird bike location (on the side). I would recommend they put new people in the middle facing the instructor. Since I visited with my classpass membership that may have been why I didn't have a bike assigned beforehand. BEST SPIN STUDIO IN HOUSTON. From the second you walk in the door they are extremely welcoming and friendly. Front desk is inclusive, always has a smile on their face and willing to help out. There is someone in the room to help with your bike settings and weights if needed. The room is clean, smells fresh and bikes are properly spaced out which is MUCH appreciated because i've been to other studios in Houston that have bikes crammed in the room and still covered in sweat from the class before. THE INSTRUCTORS; you can tell they genuinely want to be there and enjoy working for Ride. Something that really stands out is that they are all authentic -- which says a lot about the owners & the work environment they create. The instructors are motivators, coaches and entertainers all at the same time. It is never boring in that room. They know how to work a room and make everyone feel seen even those in the back. The playlists are always fire. Choreography is always perfect, clean and intentional - not too much/not too little. They cater to all levels and ages; even cueing an advanced move. As for speed, it's a well rounded class with a little bit of everything. They even finish class with a cold towel which is a great treat after an accomplishing workout. read more

I really enjoyed my ride at Ride! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I love that the shoe rental is only $1, including tax. Other places go up to $3.25! Parking is very easy. Changing stations/restrooms are super spacious and well stocked with amenities. The lockers are plentiful and roomy too. I recently had a class with Riley, who was very energetic and engaging. I appreciated her enthusiasm and interest in the participants. You don't always see that. The class was challenging but really good. The pace and music makes it really fly by. Would definitely come back for Riley's class and would like to try the theme classes too. I've also tried Will's classes before and he is great as well. The only thing I didn't love were the bikes. They just didn't seem as new/modern as some of the others I've been on and for some reason mine didn't feel 100% sturdy although I didn't have any issues. My first time ever! RILEY has been a friend for years and I finally came out and took her class. Guys she is unreal! I knew it would be tough but I got through the whole class and she was super encouraging, excited, and made you feel like you were as much of a rockstar as her. Which is a talent that not many have. I can't wait to come back!!! I literally can't recommend her enough. Playlist was amazing, really made you feel accomplished after and the facility is in the perfect location of your local to the heights like me. Your first ride is free!!! Obsessed with spin. This place is def worth trying. I went Memorial Day weekend. The class I went to had cool music, top 40 and lots of arm work. By the end of the class 11am I already had my 10k steps of the day on my Fitbit. Lockers done need a lock. Shoes are $1. The whole process is so easy online. The studio is huge and the lights make it feel like a Vegas club. I'm trying to go back and go to the Taylor swift and Calvin class. No showers but they sell tons of cute workout clothes. read more

I had my first ride last Thursday with Riley! (First class + shoe rental is free) You can book your bike and reserve/purchase classes on their website. Riley's class is intense but so much fun! I was a regular for years at a popular national chain that sounds like Pole Psychle but after moving to the Heights last summer, that was no longer a reasonable option to drive over for a workout. I am so glad I tried RIDE, which I have found to be FAR superior to other studios I've tried over the years. Ashley is my go to instructor. She is great & always has the best playlists. The thing I like most about RIDE is there's more focus on the workout itself and encouraging you to keep going. Too many times at other studios I felt like the instructors were auditory self help books repeating their cringeworthy memorized mantras from corporate all class long- felt a bit culty at times. I have a Peloton at home and still come to RIDE 1-2 x a week because it is FUN and I know I will always get a great sweat in. Even when I am exhausted from work, I know I will always feel better after attending an evening class here. Logistics-wise, this studio offers: -better range of class time options -plenty of parking- parking is never a problem here -setup of spin room is perfect and it is never groggy/sweaty/moldy smelling like some other studios can be at times. -plenty of space to get your shoes on and off -no ridiculous waiting period before being allowed in to set up a bike (if you've been in other spin studios you know what I'm talking about, where they make you sign in 15 mins before class or you lose your spot & then force you to wait in the lobby before herding you in when they say it's OK) -this gym is welcoming to all people & politics free - pricing is a great value for what you get. -This studio is very clean and has done a great job this past year w/ keeping everything sanitized read more

It was my first time coming to RIDE and the front desk didn't even greet me, show me the studio, how to get set up on my bike, how to use the lockers, etc. I'm glad I've been to a spin class so I was able to figure it out myself, but terrible if it was someone's very first spin class. I did enjoy the quality of the bikes and the amount of parking the studio had. I wanted to like this studio because it's close to home but I don't think I'll be back. I've been going to RIDE now for a little less than a year and I have to say it's probably one of my favorite workouts. I've even moved farther away and still make a point to go Saturday mornings...and that's dedication. I've been to multiple different instructors but have really enjoyed Riley's crazy class. I mean every now and again water random falls on me or there is a towel being thrown around but she has the greatest music and really pumps up the room. I've never regretted going and always have a great workout. I highly recommend RIDE to everyone I know that is interested in a spin studio. read more

I love ride! I've been cycling on my own using a peloton for a few years now but my best friend is the one who convinced me to come to a class with her. I honestly did not know what to expect. First off the location is amazing, who doesn't love the heights? As soon as you get there you can feel the energy. Everybody is so positive and happy in the process to get all set up for your ride is quick and easy. We went on a morning where the class was a Drake and Beyoncé mix. That's probably my favorite thing about the classes is the awesome music mixes! Even though it was my first time in the class they were very patient with me and helped me and were so encouraging! The high energy music mixed with the lights and the great personalities of the instructors really make the class what it is. I literally cannot imagine myself going back to just doing the peloton on my own! The party feel really makes you forget that you're in there dying lol I've consistently come every weekend and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon! read more

BUCKLE IN AND RIDE! The BEST cycle studio in Houston! Maddy is honestly the best instructor. She's animated, full of energy and really gets you pumped! They have 'themed' rides with different music from time to time too. Good cardio and we also do arm weights - you can choose different sizes in the basket in the front of the class. Parking is provided either on the street or the lot next door. Beware of leaving items in your car. There are lockers provided for a reason! I've witnessed people crying because they left items in their car and their car was broken into. I would say the parking lot could use better lighting though. read more

I've been a handful of times this past month. They recently upgraded the bikes and they are fabulous. The instructors are great. However, I zip in and out without often a hello, how are you, hope you have a good day. It is a little disappointing that the staff are really only focused on engaging folks who have been coming to this location for a while and not new customers.
