Especially because I have a bad back, and was just looking for a reverse hyper machine when I found this gym. From young professionals to the senior "legends" classes they offer, there's a community here for everyone. The owner Josh is an Aggie AND a Marine. He took his time to teach me proper form and technique when I just happened to wander in one day. Not knowing anything about me, he treated me with respect and as family from day one. I think one of the things I didn't realize about crossfit is the community aspect of it. In theory it makes sense but you never really understand it until you do it. There's a bit of magic that occurs when you have team mates working towards a common goal, led by a professionals who have our best interests at heart. Some of the workouts done here will be core memories of mine in my fitness journey and in life in general. It was a great experience and I'm glad I gave it a try when Josh offered it. I am a healthcare provider that is actively taking care of COVID positive patients and have requested a cancelation of my membership given that I cannot workout with a mask on and the risk of spreading a respiratory disease is very likely. I do not want to take away from the safety of the other patrons at the gym and requested a cancellation of the 6 months prepaid membership I had paid. Instead, the response I got back from management was that they could push my membership back to Dec 2022. However, there is no telling when an effective vaccine will come. I am trying to protect the other members that come to the gym and not put them at greater risk. I wanted to make sure that the other people coming to the gym understand that I am trying to minimize the risk to others but ownership is not letting me do so.

Membership is on a monthly basis, and it covers UNLIMITED group fitness classes + open gym. The group classes range in size. Sometimes you're working out with 2-3 people, other times it's 20. But you always get personal attention from the onsite trainer who is there to correct your form or provide modifications. They also provide ice baths (I believe $15 each) and access to their sauna. They do a lot of community and social events, like happy hours, pickleball, beach days. Mike, Nancy, and Brian are great at what they do.

Mike is great and has offered good tips and suggestions for better form, etc. everyone who I've met here has been very kind. The gym is dog friendly and while I don't have a dog of my own to bring, it's always nice to see "the regulars" there. The dogs are friendly too and don't get in the way of those working out. There seems to be a few options for group/individual trainers. There is also preset workout for members to do if group training isn't your thing. I can't wait to try out some of their fun events and community events that they put on.
