Tldr: Wally is the best! His work is amazing! This is the first time I had my car detailed. I was always cheap about car washing and a little dirt in the floor never bothered me. But since moving to downtown SF, I could not find a convenient drive through car wash like Lozano's in the South Bay and Peninsula. So my call to Ride On Drive was initially reluctant. But I completely changed my mind! The technician who worked in my car was Wally. He drove a well cared for Acura that had been modified for racing and told me he would take his car to a car show the next day. I could tell this was someone who really liked cars. I was amazed at the water-free solution he used to clean my car. When he first told me he did not need water I was concerned about scratches. The solution he used removed all the gunk and dirt without scratching. It left a water repellent surface. So when it rained the next day I did not have any water stains! I was also impressed at the interior of the car. It was vacuumed clean and felt like a new car. I attached a picture so you can all see! Every nook and corner was thoroughly cleaned. I think it was cleaner than when I got it from the dealer! Ride on Drive is much more expensive than Lozano's but worth it. When you call them, try to get Wally. I decided to finally detail my car for the first time since buying it brand new. It's a 2014 Honda Civic and it was looking awful mostly on the inside. When I called to see if I could drop it off while visiting a friend downtown I was impressed that they were able to fit me in since the reviews are impeccable and I thought they might be too busy. I left my car in the afternoon and only a couple of hours later it was ready. I barely recognized my own car when I got there. It looked like new again and the inside was just as impressive! Ever since moving away from the South Bay, I've struggled to find a reputable and trustworthy local car wash/detailing service. Enter: Ride on Drive! I contacted them via their website. Communication was smooth; scheduling was an equal breeze. Masaki answered any and all questions to make sure I would get the service I wanted for my 2017 Honda Civic. For reference, I only wanted an exterior detail w/clay bar. While I try to keep my car in relatively good shape, I have never had it clayed and just felt it was time. I mean, I could - literally - feel the paint surface contaminants. The service itself? An absolute 5 stars. Wally - the detailer - goes above and beyond. I felt he treated my car with care and respect. The whole process (wash, clay, + wax) took ~2 hours. And the results? Amazing! The surface of the car felt as smooth as glass (as it should).
