    Gondola Panini. Good but messy.

Pretty good for a quick lunch with fresh and healthy options. The only thing lacking in the eggplant sorrento was a little kick with some more seasoning or onion or hot peppers or something like that. Otherwise it was a hearty and fresh sandwich. My daughter enjoyed her panini with chicken cutlet that was also a pretty good size. You'll need a couple of napkins but great taste and value. The place is a casual and clean restaurant with good service.

I stopped by this place to grab a coffee and bagel before heading to work. They have a parking lot, which has lots of spots, so parking is never an issue here. I ordered a large coffee and an everything bagel with cream cheese and jelly to go. When I came inside, it wasn't crowded, so my order was ready fairly quickly. The service here was great. The staff were friendly. However, the coffee and bagel were both just very average. There is nothing wrong with being average. But nothing stood out to me with this bagel. It got the job done in satisfying my breakfast hunger. I guess I just have high standards when it comes to bagels. Overall, it's a nice spot.

Had a delicious onion bagel at this charming and quaint af little spot. I pay special attention to the attitude when I ask for my bagel to be scooped cuz I feel bad for being high maintenance. Super pleasant nice people with fresh bagels. That's all I really need.

Driving by and I seen this cafe, I instantly knew I to hit this on my way back from my destination. So I did & I went in to a sanitized well cleaned cafe. I asked for a hot chocolate & you could sip sip and it wouldn't burn your lip. Meaning it wasn't hot hot but it was just right right. The texture of the drink, sweetness, and overall chocolatey taste will definitely have me back here again when I'm passing through the town again.

    Chicken Cutlet Wrap

Amazing wraps and subs! I would definitely recommend. The chicken cutlet wrap is divine.

We came here for a quick brunch of sorts. They don't have much seating here so we grabbed our food to go. Out of the 4 of us, three of us ordered the lox special and one ordered the eggplant sorrento wrap. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I had the lox special on a plain bagel. I don't think I've ever had such a large, fluffy bagel. I've been told that that's due to them boiling the bagels before they are baked. They also put a ton of cream cheese on, which I like, and just the right amount of salmon. The bagel also had onions and tomatoes on it. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and was very satisfied with the amount of food. The only thing that sucked was that we had to wait a very long time for our order. We probably waited 15 minutes for our order. I have no idea what could've possibly taken so long as the bagels were pre-cooked. Other than the wait, everything else was great.

$6.37 for a bagel breakfast sandwich with turkey egg and cheese seems a little steep to me. Especially since it wasn't spectacular.

I would rather not add stars for this review because I have been here 2X and really like the food…read moreand the service is great. However, last week I looked them up and ordered through Yelp (facilitated by Grubhub, apparently). I ordered 2 of the roast beefs, 2 chopped chickens and a chicken Caesar salad and salivated during my 30 min drive to pick up. I arrived to an entirely still and locked store. No sign of anyone. I've often noticed vendors failing to update working hours, and that is frustrating. But what's worse is when I've got Yelp blaming Grubhub and Grubhub blaming everyone. I called and there was never anyone at the store though Grubhub took my money and gave me a pickup time. They agreed to refund me in several days but did absolutely nothing to compensate or remedy the situation and took no responsibility. So I will not be using Grubhub again (and that may mean ordering through Yelp if they only work through Grubhub). I hope Carved cleans up their act with times. Very frustrating when nobody takes responsibility and I don't know whether I can even trust ordering food through Yelp.

We tried the Stirling Dip, which consists of sliced roast beef, sharp provolone, and caramelized onion on a garlic baguette. It also comes with a side serving of beef au jus, pickled cucumbers, and red onions. The beef was high-quality and so tender! The sandwich was stacked with a lot of beef, and we split it. It was super filling, and we had a hard time finishing it. The bread was soft and delicious. The sandwich cost $18.00. It was juicy enough that it didn't need to be dipped in the au jus. I would have given it 5 stars, but it was on the salty side. They told us that they will start serving meals in the future.

They have a variety of hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches and paninis as well as a selection of prepared sides, desserts, baked goods and coffee. You come in, order what you want and then pay at the end. My mom and I grabbed one of the 4-5 tables they have to sit and eat inside. I had the Black Forest Ham and Brie with Honeycup Mustard on Pumpernickel and my mom had the Hot Breaded Eggplant and Mozzarella with Roasted Red Peppers and Balsamic on 7 Grain. My mom's sandwich was excellent but mine was pretty soggy and had way too much ham for the thin slices of bread it was served on... I'd definitely try something else if I returned. Other than that the ingredients are high quality. I especially liked the taste of the breads.

"Under new management" - really ? What was the old management like ?…read more Walked in on a Wednesday during lunch hour - anyone behind the counter ? Hello ? Young Latin male appears to take order - he seems to be the only one in the store. Here we go :/ He plays cashier and rings up a nice lady who seems to have been waiting for a while judging by her sighs, huffs and puffs, he finished and takes the order of another couple waiting at deli counter (I'm still milling about mind you, observing the half empty shelves and loads of wine and booze for sale), and eventually takes my order. He was trying - we'll give him that - but no training at all, no demeanor, no banter, nothing. Since this deli was recommended, I'll order compare it with the NJ deli industry standard setter; Millburn Deli. I order a chicken cutlet sandwich. I asked him to press it - no press. He had no other recommendations. How could he - he is probably not "in country" long enough. At this point (the owner?) shows up - elderly gentleman who takes over the order and makes the sandwich. I asked this one if he had a press, he says no, but he has an oven. Okay - heat it up. I pay just $13 and change and walk out to eat elsewhere. Now the test - maybe it will be worth the trip? You readers be the judge - if the chicken looks dry, it's worse it's no better than cardboard. Wilty lettuce and super thin onions. Uff what. Waste of time. It's Millburn deli again hands down. Any positives ? It looks like they had some couple day old salads - standard stuff and some Italian stuff - but nothing impressive. And that's it. The chicken must of been. Day or three old. Which is basically it - the place is so NOT impressive for billing itself as a gourmet or "fine foods" establishment. Fine food has nothing to do with this place. I think I would have had better shot of a food deli sandwhich at Gary's Wines across the street and down a bit. At least they have fresh product all served with a smiling "hello - thank you for supporting us." Bernardsville is the wrong town for Monterey Fine Foods - much higher standards expected.

This popular cafe is located right in the heart of Basking Ridge. It's small inside but there's outdoor seating also. We had a half hour wait for a table inside. My wife ordered the Blintzes with blueberries and I had the Paris Morning breakfast. We both loved the food! My dish came with 2 potato pancakes, 2 poached eggs, and smoked salmon. Just delicious! A cool bit of trivia is that Paul McCartney and his wife stopped in here a few years ago. We didn't see Paul today, but we did enjoy the experience!

It was very busy yesterday around 11:30 am. When we finally got seated, the place did not disappoint. We first ordered macchiato, cappuccino, and lemonade, the coffee was strong and great! We ordered two American breakfast and Warsaw breakfast. One of the American was scrambled eggs and the other was egg over medium. The sausage was very tasty. It was not salty and the bacon was a little thick, and it was also not your typical salty bacon. The sausage was delicious and the bacon was nice and crunchy. The side potatoes were so delicious with onions and peppers. I finished all of mine. It was perfectly seasoned and not salty so eating this brunch was such a joy. The side roll was also delicious with butter. It looked like a sesame and wheat roll. It made it even so more enjoyable. The Warsaw breakfast was on a very hot small iron skillet. The Kabasa was delicious and it was typical on the salty side. The breakfast potato was delicious with the Warsaw breakfast, it had small cherry tomatoes with the potatoes. We also ordered two side pancakes. The pancakes were not as fluffy, but it was very good. It was on the expensive side for one pancake. It was around five dollars. Overall this breakfast restaurant was awesome. Small with a lot of character inside. The service was quick and on point.
