Customer service is always horrible workers act like they're too cool to talk to anyone so they just sit behind the counter. I took some shoes to sell and they said they were fake and couldn't be verified maybe they couldn't match them to the ones they had since they're known for having fakes. I got my shoes checked elsewhere also on the check check app and passed I double checked them myself and used a black light all cleared out. Anyways, I brought some shoes I was looking to trade. I knew they were legit because unlike them I have a black light at home and I don't even have a shoe business. So 2 guys are looking at my shoe for 5 minutes to tell me they can't because they're not sure if it's real. "Not saying they're fake but" UM, what?! Then I asked them if they had a black light which they said no. As they were putting my shoes in the box they didn't even know which was theirs and which were mine. Every 1/5 rating is because some hypebeast walked into RIF expecting to get resell market value for their General Release shoes. This is a business. Of course they're going to lowball you to turn a profit, why would they even bother buying your shoes then? To break even? Come on. Take an economics course. The shoes mentioned were UB 3.0s, Multis, Zebras, Mystery Grey, all shoes worth $220 on StockX or GOAT app. After fees you get what you paid retail for them. The Wings 1 aren't worth much now like they were during the initial hype and nobody likes Jordan 8s except the 2007 Aquas. If you want market value, sell on Twitter, Facebook groups or Instagram through PayPal, even Craigslist. It's going to take more leg work obviously by cutting out the middle man. Stop leaving negative feedback because your unrealistic expectations were not met. RIF is a spot to get authentic merchandise that you slept on or didn't have a plug to cop. You gotta pay to play. So my son comes home after spending his own hard earned $60 on a t-shirt that normally he wears a medium. So he buys a medium ... but it barely fit him and I knew after one wash it would definitely not fit. So I ask him to go back and return it or get credit. He just back home with it because they don't allow returns. Love this store! Parking is annoying to find but once inside it's a open feeling with nice AC on during these hot days. Went in for a legit check but didn't end up buying the shoes. I found some nmd masterminds and they hooked it up with a great price! I would definitely recommend going here to find some dope shoes for a fair price. Don't expect super cheap however but the shoe game is an expensive one so be ready to spend money. Shoe selection is hit or miss but overall good selection. It really comes down to what your looking for and how much you want to spend. Probably the worst shoe store in the LA/OC area lol Took my girls off white vapormax that she won from Blends CM and asked me at least 6 times where I got them from. Kinda annoyed but I let it go. First a girl was looking at them and was comparing them to another off white vapormax they had but the black pair and took her about 10 minutes. She switched with another guy and before the guy was gonna check them out she kinda turns her back to us and tells him something so when the guy "looks" at them he says "we're not gonna be able to take them" I asked why and HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW! He was like ummm uhhh and continues to look at them again for like 3 minutes LOL then his answer was "the air logo on the bottom doesn't match the black pair that we have" i told him they are different shoes lol I'm annoyed at this time so I asked if anyone else can check them because they are real and I have the receipt and everything. He tells me to come back in 30 minutes for their "off white guy" because he's on lunch, like what? If you work at the place like this you should be able to legit check stuff and not wait for other people because you don't know what you're looking for. So I leave and come back 30 minutes later and he checks them out and in less than 5 minutes he says everything is good. The other 2 people wasted my time and they offered like $250 which I didn't take. This is not my first time dealing with RIF OC and having them wrongly legit checking stuff. Came in today a Friday Afternoon. 1st off, Parking situation on 4th Street sucks. Good Luck finding a spot and if u do, it's metered parking. I luckily realized that the Parking Garage on 5th Street behind 4th was easily accessible. My intentions after following their Instagram page for awhile now were to bring in some pairs of shoes to sell. Deadstock Pairs which have never been worn. Upon entering the store, I approached a young frail Asian man behind the counter and let him know that I had some pairs I wanted to sell. He immediately had a look of disgust on his face and basically made me feel unwanted from the jump. But me being the confident and unphased individual that I am I carried on with business as usual. He immediately passed me off to another Asian guy who was obviously in charge of the buying. He proceeded to inspect my pairs intensely, as if I had worn them. I don't wear my shoes I intend to sell. In my opinion there's just not any money to be made in selling your used kicks. Regardless, he then wrote down some notes on a pad and did some internet research since he clearly didn't have much knowledge of the Sneaker Game in general. After wasting about 15 minutes of my time he made me a Lowball offer of $400 for the 4 deadstock pairs I brought in which was downright insulting. This guy must've really taken me for a fool. If he expected me to part with my kicks for $400, which wasn't even a fair offer for the 2 pairs of Ultraboost 3.0s I brought in (Mystery Grey and Zebra) homeboy was trippin. I asked him where he was getting his data from regarding his delusional offer and he told me that he was in competition with Flight Club. Flight Club is notorious for charging insanely high prices and ripping off ignorant Sneakerheads who don't know the game. Which is why I think they should change their name from Rif OC to RIP OC, as in Rip Off. This place is a major let down and I recommend anyone who is considering selling their kicks to not bother wasting their time. They may be taking advantage of Tweekers and Crackheads who are flipping their collections for a chance to get the next sack of dope, but good luck getting a Dime out of any Sneakerhead who is seasoned in the game and financially stable. It's a shame that they conduct business this way because they will not succeed in the long run with this approach to buying. They may sell a high dollar pair once or twice a week but that's not gonna pay the bills. These guys will be gone within the next 2 years and I will be happy to see them pack up their hypebeast garbage and head back to LA/SF. OC doesn't need this kind of attempted highway robbery. Too bad Round 2 doesn't move to OC because they at least pay respectable prices to resellers and collectors. The guy here JJ told me they were buying pairs of Yeezy 350 Zebras for $280..any dumbass who let their Yeezys go for that price fucked up majorly and these guys were laughing all the way to the bank. Shame on you RIP OC..You guys truly are a clip shop that has no business in a great town like Santa Ana, you guys should pack your shit up and move it back to Hollyweird where u belong. read more
