The food here was good, but pretty expensive for what it is. I was not a fan of the high top table only option (there are only a couple low tops.) The place is cute inside, but when Portland is such a foodie place I wouldn't go back here over somewhere else. There are so many options In Portland, but you can't go wrong at this spot. I've been there twice, once for coffee and hanging by the fireplace, and once for a big group dinner on a Saturday night in the private room - Both were good experiences! It has a cool coffee house vibe during the day with good coffee, lots of space and comfy seating. For dinner my group loved the food. We Recommend the sticky ribs, the wings, the whipped ricotta, and the prohibition soup (that really is only 33 cents!). The steak frites were really solid too, but I think the apps stole the show! Stopped in for a quick beer and ended up staying for hours. It was raining and this was the perfect spot for us to stay dry. Sat for 30 minutes after ordering when our waitress finally showed up to tell us that due to a computer error, our order never got out in and they only had one person in the kitchen and he was working on the order. They were soooo oversalted (and I LIKE salt) that I was rubbing them in my napkin trying to get the salt off. My wife got the lobster roll. Got sat immediately with few others in the restaurant, but proceeded to wait 25 minutes for a server to come over. Then waited an additional 25 minutes for our appetizer to come out. Finally got our drinks 5 minutes after our app arrived. We got the fried buffalo cauliflower, which was not fried at all and overly drenched in buffalo sauce. No blue cheese as promised. Lastly, we never got plates or utensils and had to ask for them. After 1 hour and 15 minutes and only 1 drink and 1 appetizer, we paid $35. Been here once before and stopped in today for their Sunday brunch. We knew they have good cocktails and that's all it took to swing in. Started out with their High Liner (Rum, Campari, Orange Juice, Crème Coconut, Pineapple Juice, and Nutmeg garnish) and their Frosé (frozen strawberry vodka drink) and both were great but the best was their Lynchburg Lemonade (Jack Daniels, Lemon Sour Infusion, Orange Juice, and TripleSec). It was an absolute perfect drink for the warm day. This place has a great outdoor patio right on wharf street. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed but kept up well despite seeming possibly a little understaffed. The hostess and waitress were both friendly and helpful. A nice atmosphere and location if you are wondering the old port and wanting outdoor dining. Next for food we went with the Breakfast Bowl and the Biscuits and Gravy. Both were tasty and plenty of food for a lighter style brunch. I only wish the eggs had been a little more runny but not bad at all. I highly recommend checking this place out for brunch as their cocktails were phenomenal and the food was quite tasty as well. The price was not bad, what I would expect for brunch in the old port. We were looking for an upscale gastro pub but this did not really meet expectations. Service was slow and unenthusiastic. It was very loud inside. The drinks were good but when I asked what guns they had the server said, "the usual". We started with a charcuterie board with plans of having dinner after. Came here in a whim. The atmosphere was chic and the service was exceptional. The girls tried the latte with vanilla and they loved it! Such great coffee! Also had warm coffee cake which was so delicious! The big kids had various local beers and we shared the charcuterie board. The best parts of the charcuterie board were the homemade tomatoe jam and mustard cheese. We will def come back here when we find ourselves in Portland again. read more

Checked out this new spot in Portland today! Brunch was delicious- super fresh and different brunch options than just your typical eggs and meat dishes. You've got to save room to try the banana bread pudding which has a slight bourbon taste that makes it to die for! Staff was great as well as the coffee which was from Time and Tide in Biddeford,ME. Only thing is that we wished there was a simple house coffee that had free refills like typical breakfast spots! Didn't try the alcohol drinks but they looked good. Went for a casual breakfast on a weekday, very nice space. Amazing breakfast sandwich with fresh lobster, good coffee, and mimosas.

Great location, great concept, but, if you are going to offer food, even if it is a limited menu, please add a couple of more staple items - maybe a simple BLT or grilled cheese? The Italian pressed sandwich was waaaay too heavy, greasy and spicy, and other than the lobster roll that's really the only "lunch" type item. They have several breakfast items available on the menu - but nothing I would call "lunch". The hummus plate was good - nothing spectacular. If they expand the lunch menu a bit, it will be a lovely lunch spot to eat out in their patio area. Edit: I was contacted by the owner for the above review. He reminded me that they are actually not a restaurant - they are a business space. So that said, I still don't think the food was great and, since they do serve food, seems like a restaurant to me?? Horrible service, went with my husband and baby after dinner for coffee. After 5 minutes a group came in after and was immediately served water and able to get an order in. 10 minutes later no service and my husband decided to order at the bar. He got an espresso that tasted like battery acid and then ordered a cappuccino. The wait staff never came over to take our order. The group that came in after us was able to get their order pay their check and leave all by the time his cappuccino came. I had to suggest he pay so we could get out of there ASAP! read more

I don't know what the food here tastes like, because the kitchen was "not willing" (their words) to make a simple substitution to accommodate a food intolerance (we had asked them to sub out mashed potatoes for something else). We have literally not had this experience in the last decade or so; even restaurants whose menus explicitly ask for no substitutions are always willing to make accommodate allergies and intolerances - and it's not like they were super busy as there were open tables available inside and outside). To add insult to injury, they made a substitution in my beer flight (a sour for a farmhouse ale), without checking first or even pointing it out when the order came.
