We enjoy their sandwiches, tried several and especially enjoy the tuna on wheat. A taste of home. I can not recommend the chili unless your preference is a bowl of greasy spiced meat. No beans or veggies of any kind. Most people don't go to a restaurant that specializes in sandwiches and milkshakes and order a salad. But that's just what I did. I have no regrets. The chef salad was phenomenal-fresh ingredients, generous amounts of everything...it hit the spot! The young man who took my order was friendly and patient with me as I struggled to place my order. I'm not sure what my problem was, but my brain was not firing properly and I had a hard time communicating what I wanted. He figured it out and got me just what I wanted. There is a drive thru, and the dining area is also open and spacious. Everything I saw was well maintained and clean. I'd imagine that this place gets pretty busy around lunch time with all the large industrial businesses out this way-and few restaurant options. The food was super yummy, the sandwich bread is better then jimmy johns. The ingredients taste more fresh then jimmy johns. The service was okay the people seem more invested in talking to the other employees then customer service. the food was pricey but somewhat worth it. Unfortunately it's just a 40 min drive for me so it won't be something I visit monthly. The ambiance was interesting it seems like they tried to do a 60s theme but were very limited. The egg salad was freshly made, not too much mayo but the egg pieces were a bit small for my liking but not to the point I wouldn't order again. I was disappointed that "panni style" did not impart the crispy groves into the bread I am used to. Next time I'll have to try the shakes. Just note that everything is made to order so plan your time accordingly, especially in the drive thru line. They did recently open up to in store ordering but not to dining. We have been customers to Riley's for years. We love their veggie sandwich. Went there today and ordered two in the drive-thru, got home and they were turkey. Called in hopes of getting the order fixed. They told me they "listened to the recording of my order and they clearly heard me order turkey." I DON'T EAT MEAT! WHY WOULD I ORDER TURKEY!? Had a coupon for Rileys Sandwiches so we decided to try it. Wanted a whole Sandwiche but the computer only knows how to honor the coupon for half Sandwiches and the guy taking our order didn't know either so we were not able to use the coupon!!! Also there is a surcharge for a beef or pastrami..but on our recipt it didn't tell us how much we paid for that. Only gave a total . Overpriced!! The employees try hard, but the owner is a narcissist who has control issues. Meat on sandwiches is very small and the shakes lack ice cream is only allowed to be filled to a specific spot on the cup. Only one person is allowed to make the sandwiches so wait times are always long. I try to support local, but honestly you'll get a better meal at a better value at any other sandwich shop. They charge for fry sauce, even when you order fries. Save your time and money and eat somewhere else. read more

My family and I used to come here quite a bit, but then they got sloppy, and the service went down hill, we'll long story short, I believe in second chances so we decided to come try them again, and I must say, the younger older lady that helped us last night was amazing!! Super fast service. Employees all wearing masks. I love that they have gluten-free bread but the sandwich overall was bland. I'm pretty sure the "special dressing" was just mayo. Mixed review. Husband got the club on sourdough. It literally had one small deli slice of each meat and was ALL lettuce and bread. However, I had the turkey avocado on ciabatta and I loved it. I got mine without lettuce and it was piled high with turkey (don't know if that's because I ordered no lettuce or because I only had a one meat sandwich). My mouth watering as I wait d thru all the construction, thinking about that freshly shred lettuce, thick tasty marble rye bread and that juicy pastrami. 15 minutes later I arrive place my order pull up and pay and wait patiently. 5 minutes later the employee comes and tells me we have no pastrami. Our family has had a favorite sandwich at Riley's since they used to be on Redwood Road in West Jordan. We moved South to Utah County in 2003. Whenever we were in South Salt Lake County, we would go out of our way for that sandwich. What is it? A whole Turkey Cranberry on Sourdough bread. One of their signature sandwiches. We stopped on our way home today. We were SO disappointed that they have switched the turkey to some common, cheap sliced deli style. The sandwich is a shadow of itself now. This is the same Riley's that was on Redwood Road now located at the old Ab's on Airport Road. The food is pretty much the same, they still don't put enough meat on the sandwiches and still offer the same tired potato cheese soup. With this new location they do now offer fries that they didn't have before. The fries taste good but I don't like that you have to pay for the pleasure of having fry sauce, they should at least include the initial cup of fry sauce for free. The fry sauce was not good, it tasted like sugar was added and was way too sweet for me. For now I'll stick with my previous 3 stars. read more

Stopped to get the car oil changed next door at Jiffy Lube. Since it was close to dinner time, and greasy fast food just didn't sound good, I saw this place and decided to give it a try. I ordered the club on sourdough, and added bacon. I didn't try anything else, so I can only base this review on a simple sandwich... First off, the staff was cordial. Although I was the only customer in the place, they seemed to be working. The dining area was clean. Nobody appeared to be waisting time and playing on their phones. Now about the sandwich... Sometimes we make assumptions about what we believe to be normal. I assumed when ordering a whole sandwich, it would be served on an approximate 12" long roll, such as is typical in sandwich shops like Subway, Jimmy John's, Blimpie, Quiznos, etc. Instead it was served on sliced bread. Guess I should read or ask questions next time. I mentioned that I ordered bacon on the sandwich. There was an additional charge of just over $1 for it, which seemed reasonable. What I received were three strips of cold precooked bacon, like you find in bulk at your local membership warehouse. Precooked is fine, but, again I assumed, bacon would be served warmed up. I mentioned "next time" in an earlier paragraph. Yes, I'd go again. Next time I'm at Jiffy Lube, and if it's near meal time. The sandwich was okay. It was something comparable to what I could have done myself. It didn't have anything unique or "craveable" that set it apart. I wouldn't go out of my way, or make a special trip to eat here. After eating at Riley's I looked them up and was surprised to see they didn't have more positive reviews. Great little sandwich and soup spot, sandwiches had tons of meat, to the point that I even commented how much meat they had. My boyfriend did too and he eats a lot! I got the classic potato cheddar soup which was just what I needed on a cold winter night, but they also have a daily soup that looked really good too. The fries were great, much better than any other fast food place, and the fry sauce is house made. I would even consider going there in the future for just the fries and fry sauce. Any sandwich you can make panini style and they have different types of bread that you can choose from, which I'm assuming is from a local bakery. When you buy local you may be paying a little more than if you were to go to a corporate chain restaurant, but you are paying salaries for a family in your own neighborhood, and honestly the prices are reasonable. It's a perfect place for anyone in West Jordan to stop at after running errands or if you need a quick dinner, and much better than anywhere in Jordan Landing (since Ledgers Deli is gone anyway). I hate leaving reviews and if you look at my profile you will see that is true. I think I've maybe left two or three in the whole time I've been using Yelp.. So it's got to be something completely out of the ordinary and I ordered takeout from a place called Riley's sandwiches that I have never heard of before which I see now make sense. I thought was strange at first because I love sandwiches and to be honest if you think about it, have you ever gone to a place and ordered a sandwich that was not over packed with meat on it and personally I can't recall a single place this has ever happened until this day... The sandwiches itself was fine, I mean I could have got white bread ham and cheese from a Walmart and made it taste the same but the sandwich itself was fine.. My problem was and especially for a place that has sandwich in the title, my problem is, I have never ordered a sandwich from anywhere and I literally mean anywhere and I'm talkin all the way from a McAlister's in Dallas, Texas(that's where I'm from so I would say I know sandwiches, if you've ever had McAlister's you would say the same) to a Subway in Utah, I have never in my life ordered a sandwich with such little meat and cheese on it. I couldn't believe it, you're able to get a half or a full sandwich and I got a full sandwich and would you believe and I swear to God would you believe the sandwich is supposed to come with provolone and cheddar cheese and again I swear to God but they put provolone on one side of the sandwich and cheddar on the other half and I have not seen this cheapness level since the last time my mom took me to a Goodwill store when I was 7 years old.. Yes, I am not exaggerating,,so okay fine, I'll go home I'll get an American slice of cheese from Kraft out of the refrigerator and have to add it to my sandwich (which by the way of course you should not have to do). The only problem was that wasn't the only problem I have never in my life ordered a sandwich with such little meat on it and I'm talking this was a club sandwich that according to the menu came with ham, turkey, and roast beef and I shit you not it literally had one slice of ham, one slice of roast beef, and one slice of turkey and the particular sourdough bread they use, one half of slice of the sourdough bread is thicker than all the meat they put on the sandwich.. So that is the end of my interview and believe me I hate to leave it and I will only leave an interview when it is so far out of bounds from the normalcy of ordering from a restaurant that it makes you come home 4 hours later and think about it.. If this would have been a gas station sandwich I would have paid five bucks for ,,I would have said screw Subway, but when you pay $21 for a sandwich, a vanilla shake and a $0.50 bag of Doritos (not the big bag your thinking you would get at any other sandwich shop in the entire world) it better be good enough to call your sister in Louisiana and tell her about the hell of a sandwich you just had.. Unfortunately it wasn't though and believe me I wish it was, for nothing else except if you put sandwich in the name of your restaurant, I can't even comprehend how will you as a corporation or franchise owner would accept them being anything less than perfect.. you know how you see reviews about someone going to a restaurant and then exclaim in all the food that was on their plate and there's no way they could finish eating it and they couldn't believe how much food was in a single serving will trust me that is one thing you will never claim about Riley's sandwiches and of course I was thinking since the club came with ham, turkey, and roast beef I would have enough to take off and save for the next day and make two days worth of sandwiches out of one meal,,, but oh hell no it's not even a full meal on its own.. I've been coming here for a long time and I don't know why I've never left them a good review, I'm always happy with my experience. Such good food and friendly employees working there, their shakes are good and have lots of variety, fries are always fresh and the fry sauce is the best around! Worth paying extra for. Lobby is always clean when I do go in there, over all I love this place and it's away from the craziness that is Jordan landing, more people should come and experience this awesome place.
