I had been to village baker before but never this location. It was easy to get to and had lots of parking. I had ordered pick up online after work. It was ready when they said it would be. I got the chicken cordon bleu pizza. It was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious! The inside is really cute with lots of seating. They have a fridge with drinks as well as a soda fountain. They also sell baked goods. I really like their cookies. I've heard good things about the salads and sandwiches as well! read more

I personally love the turkey cranberry but never remember that the bread is sliced a foot thick and you have to unhinge your jaw to bite it. Worth it. They have some tables on the sidewalk, which is kind of weird but kind of nice. Hot tip: you don't have to pick just one dessert. Get one for now and one for later. read more

I can't believe I forgot to review this place! I visited some time ago around 2pm for a lunch. It was amazing. I was feeling extremely hungry and this place delivered. My friend had the Cesar salad and enjoyed it. I had the warm turkey and provolone sandwich and it was great, it felt like quality ingredients, it was packed with turkey. My broccoli cheese soup was also delicious. My favorite part had to be the raspberry peach (I think that was the combination) muffin. It was spectacular! My friend got the lemon bar and I had a taste, it was very lemon-y! The restaurant felt clean and there were plenty of places to sit. I would love to go back sometime. The pizzas sounded good. The parking lot sucks because there are so many businesses packed into that strip mall, but if you go at not a busy time it is for sure worth it! read more

I used their catering service for a work lunch and requested delivery. After they were 15 minutes late, I called to find an update on the food. I was told the manager had forgotten to mark the food for delivery and instead had it marked for pick up. I had paid $35 for delivery and they admitted the mistake. The food was about an hour late. I had asked for a discount or hoped that possibly the desert would be complimentary, but the manager declined. Over 30 people had to wait an extra hour for food and it didn't sound like she cared. I have lived in Utah for years but I can't recall ever going to the Village Baker until this visit. I am not entirely sure why but I really loved my experience! This Village Baker location is in a tricky spot. They are almost on the corner of Redwood and 9000 S so getting in and out of the parking lot can be chaotic. I was northbound on Redwood, passed 9000 south and then turned right into the side/back lot. Getting back out, I was sitting by the KFC for several minutes getting blocked in by cars until one finally decided to be nice enough to let me in. I went around lunch time so there was a bit of a line but it didn't take more than a minute, since there were so many people at registers. The guy was waving down the couple in front of me but they weren't ready yet so he looked at me and said I could come over. This was nice, as the couple was just standing there and not really letting me order in front of them haha. I decided on the turkey and provolone sandwich in a combo. I got the full size and then it came with chips or a cookie and a drink. He gave me a number for the table and I met up with my friends. I was so busy chatting it up with my friends that I honestly forgot about my food lol. It did take quite a while to get, but I wasn't worried about it. There was plenty of other orders they were working on. This isn't your average sandwich. It was huge and on a big loaf of bread. This sandwich was DELICIOUS! The bread tasted fresh, was fresh, and the perfect ratio to the rest of the sandwich. It was big enough to hold the rest of the ingredients within the sandwich, without overpowering anything else. The sandwich still had explosive flavors throughout. I believe the sandwich came with some kind of mustard--it tasted amazing. The lettuce brought a cool crunch to the sandwich. They didn't skimp out on the turkey and it tasted fresh. I forgot to grab my chips so I had to run back up to the front to snag those. They had your average lays chips to choose from--BBQ, Sunchips, Salt & Vinegar, etc.. I chose the salt and vinegar chips and also filled up my drink. They had a fountain with Coke products and I opted for a Dr. Pepper. They also had the good pebble ice! I appreciate that they have to-go boxes right next to the drinking fountains so you don't have to worry about waiting up at the front for a box. There is plenty of seating and they have tables & chairs with umbrellas for the warmer months. This is an awesome lunch spot and I absolutely loved my sandwich. Came here with a decently large party. I got a pizza and it was very good, but if I remember correctly it was almost $20 for a personal pizza. This is on the pricey side and while it was delicious, idk if it was $20 worth. Our party ended up getting a ton of pastries and desserts so we could share them and try a lot of different things. Again, each of them options were good, but nothing really blew me away and I'd rather go to somewhere like the gourmand or Schmidt's for dessert. read more

Sandwiches - Pick your bread, layer on some different protein and topping options, be happy. A 1/2 sandwich is great for lunch and a full sandwich is borderline "food coma." Turkey Cranberry on Honey Wheat is a winner if you need a recommend. Pizzas - You just can't go wrong here. Even though you would think breads and sandwiches are their primary expertise they lay out some amazing pizzas that will keep you coming back for more. Stopped in for lunch on an errand run Saturday. Pretty busy, and had a basically full parking lot. I was greeted with kind customer service from the cashier who helped answer my questions. I ordered the half BLT combo with chicken noodle soup. The sandwich was delightful; Crisp veggies and perfectly cooked bacon. The soup tasted pretty decent, but it was lacking in the seasoning department. Also grabbed the pumpkin pie bar and an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. The bar was honestly one of the most delicious things I have ever had. Perfectly spiced pumpkin pie flavor, and the topping was a wonderful, lightly sweetened whipped cream. The cookie was also good, just nothing over the top great. Seating arrangements were not my favorite, but I understand the need to make use of all of the space the have. read more

The bread and sweet treats are displayed for the taking and tempting as you enter and the line moves quickly when ordering. They bring the food to your table when it's ready. Plenty of seats and a clean environment. I had half an egg salad sandwich on honey rye. Loved the bread but the chunky eggs were not my fav and it had a bit too much mayo for me. But, I will gladly go back and try another sandwich or salad or pizza or soup because I could tell the quality is there. The bread is thick but I'm not complaining or asking for thin; it was delicious. Others had a half salad, which was huge, shared a turkey/avocado, which was a hit and we all tried a little something sweet. My chocolate chip oatmeal cookie lasted me a while and was very good. No sticker shock here, the prices are reasonable and appropriate. (I paid $5 for a cookie in New York last week.) This may become a new tradition whenever I make a trip to West Jordan! read more

Visited Village Baker because I was looking for a good breakfast sandwich. When I walked in I was met with amazing smells of fresh bread and breakfast. You immediately see all of the cake slices individually packaged on the counter along with tons of loaves of fresh bread. They have everything from whole wheat to cranberry orange loafs. It all looked SO good and SO fresh. I wish I could've bought one of each. My breakfast sandwich was bacon egg and cheese on a deliciously fresh roll. It was supposed to come with cheddar, but I chose provolone and they were completely accommodating. The bread was so fresh and the sandwich was nice and hot. I wish I could've tried the cakes and many treats too, but maybe next time. I ate my sandwich too fast and forgot to grab a photo, but the bakery itself was so cute. Not to be missed for lunch. When you're craving to eat a sandwich, skip Subway, go here. We arrived roughly before 1pm on Saturday. Not a huge wait. Was able to sit down at a booth, the booths across from the fountains have outlets so I could charge phone/watch, comfortable plush seating. I was so impressed they came out with our order so quickly!! The price and the service was very good. I ordered half of cranberry Turkey and the broccoli soup, my husband had the whole BLT sandwich and we ordered grilled cheese for the girls. The kids meal comes with a decent size juice box. I hadn't visited Village baker since I worked at Granite Furniture years ago before they closed. I came back earlier this year on a whim taking my son on a mother son date, and we both fell in love with the food! My son didn't really enjoy the grilled cheese but on our second trip he LOVED the ham and cheese and we've since tried the turkey and cheese for kids. The best part, they use the same bread just sliced thinner for the kids meals. We have done several pick up orders on our way out of town a few times, and it's so delicious! The bread is so tasty and soft, and such a good size. My son would say that his favorite thing would be the cookies :) It's by far become my favorite sandwich shop. They also always have broccoli cheese soup on hand as one of their soups of the day and it is super delicious! read more

We have had so many issues with ordering from the West Jordan location, either it be on Door dash or the actual store itself. I don't know how it can get messed up when you order a turkey cranberry sandwich and all you get is a basic grilled cheese when you get home. The desserts are always missing and there is always something missing from our order. Excellent bread and very good sandwich. Turkey Avocado Provolone sandwich was not overdressed with mayo/mustard. Honey rye Bread was cut thick, great crumb, and had incredible flavor. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. More tomato would have been over the top - tiny thin slice was not enough. Personal taste. Bread pudding was dense and the sauce was overstrong (rather amazing feat, that). I had to cook it down at home a little more. This is the only reason I'm not putting this rating at 5 stars. I'm looking forward to going back for that same sandwich and trying almond cake, lemon bars, snickerdoodles, and the cereal bar I've heard so much about. read more

Definitely such a great choice! We always get their Turkey & Provolone sandwich and their broccoli and cheddar soup!
