1 star is generous. It's been about a year since I did business with this place, and they did their job so poorly I'm still feeling the effects today - reason for me writing this out. Not only were there so many hidden fees that were not discussed when signing the contract, but the costumer service was horrific. Each time I asked to speak to a manager each employee told me that they were the manager - that's a lot of managers! Once I spoke to the district manager, I was answered with " Listen, what you're going to do is pay and that's the end of conversation." I've never heard managers settle situations this way, but it's my guess this business is very lenient with managerial titles. The balances were never matching up after my payments and no one ever seemed to communicate within the business, because each person I spoke to seemed clueless about the situation. It was so bad I gave up on the very nice rims and tires, simply because I refused to give my money to these people any longer. Luckily, I was able to find new rims and tires at another, unaffiliated establishment, but to my surprise, they informed me that when my original rims were swapped for the rims given by RimTyme, they took my sensors! When I think back to the day I got the rims, I do remember the employees telling me that my tires didn't come with sensors - which should have been the major red flag. But, being that I was at a supposedly trustable establishment, I believed them and proceeded. I felt pretty naive when I was informed I had been robbed and fooled. I just moved here from CA, which my car was driven cross country. Needless to say my tires and wheels were shot. RimTyme of Spring Lake had an easy purchasing program and when I came in, they were helpful and courteous finding me the right wheels and tires for my car!! Spring Lake Store Lies Lies Lies! That's all the salesman Jay did from the time I walked in the store until I left. If I could not give them a star I wouldn't. Don't believe the reviews those are all made up. On 26Aug I went in to get NEW rims for my car and I was sold use rims. At no time was I ever told that the rims I picked were use. I even asked the salesman Jay if the rims I was purchasing new after seeing used ones on the floor and he said yes they are new. Once the rims were put on my car i didn't like them so I then asked if I could get another set and pay the difference Jay said he had to get with Raleigh and Raleigh said that he had had to get with the General manager. Jay then said I could purchase a new set. I then picked out a new set Jay took them to the back but then Raleigh said I could only get another used set I'm like why because all I want to do is purchase a new set and pay the difference what company doesn't want more money "go figure" but because I paid cash all sales were final. At no time did anyone say all sales were final and that I could not exchange them out. I feel I should get my money back and pay only for the restock fee if anything because they never explained the policies prior to me buying. Now I still have used ugly rims on my car! It is unfortunate, that I've read all these great reviews about Rim Tyme customer service and practices, however, today my experience was not a representation of the reviews I saw published. About the latter part of September, maybe early November, I went to the store on Bragg Blvd in Spring Lake, NC to purchase four tires for my son's car. The tires sold to me was said to be for the vehicle/rim type I own. The clerk had only two rims to put the tires on. I was told I could bring the other two tires back so they too could be mounted after the car came out the shop. On November 13, I received the worse news a mother care not to receive. On that same day, the mechanic also called to say, of the four tires, only one is correct. This was not a priority at the time, however as I navigate through the grieving process; I was now at a point where I could address the issue of the wrong tires sold to me. I thought this would be an easy fix, since the tires weren't mounted. I thought an exchange, or a payment of the difference if there was an increase in pricing would resolve the problem. It was not so, instead I was told by the manager, that the owner, said there is nothing he can do. His rationale was since it's almost six months ago since purchase. I explained it had not been, and refer to the fact that the tires I was sold were not the ones for the vehicle. I then asked for the number for the owner and was told to write on the website and the owner would call me directly. I don't believe that's a good business practice, especially since I was deceived into purchasing erroneous tires for my car. One would assume that the store owner, managers and workers would practice integrity when dealing with customers. That they would represent their business with ethical standards. So, what am I to do with 3 tires that I can't use and the store won't take back? Is it fair for me to just cast those out and go buy 3 more? This is not fair, I am advocating for self and others, hoping that someone from this company will take action to resolve this problem. I am concern for the local citizens and soldiers who support our local business. If this is how we are to be treated, why not just give your money to the big box stores? I will pursue a resolution through the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and will also be consulting with the Fort Bragg Judge Advocate General (JAG) for legal advice. This is a military community, and I will not stand by while our soldiers or local citizen are being taken advantage of. I have a social responsibility to my community and I hope this organization would have the same obligation to their consumers and the community also. read more

READ IN ITS ENTIRETY!!!! **Conclusion at bottom** I bought a set of rims 4/2016, paid them off 2/2017. June 2017 I hit a pothole and bent both rims and popped both tires on passenger side. Was told to have car towed and they would "take care of me". I was sooooo grateful only to be given the run around for WEEKS to find out the rims haven't even been fixed. They put me in loaner rims while mine were "getting repaired" and then called me three weeks later and told me the rims were not fixed and they could no longer loan me rims while mine got fixed and I probably just needed to get hem fixed on my own. I had no choice but to open another contract for a new set of rims and tires. Was told at that time by Stockton that he would take care of it himself and call us when they were ready. I never got a call back. Left several messages just to find out Stockton has been fired and my rims are still sitting back in the warehouse damaged. So not only did they not provide he service promised, they forced my into a new contract based off of lies and broken promises. ****Update**** I have spoken to the owner of the company and he has resolved this problem over the phone as of now. I will re update when it has been resolved completely. **CONCLUSION** This place has redeemed itself. Just left with a new set of exact rims I had purchased and didn't cost me a penny. They fixed the problem 150% with no stipulations. They went above and beyond to find a new set of exact rims for me. The owner was professional and Shaun was very accommodating. He got us in and out this evening and even gave us a free week on my tires. The whole ordeal was an attempt to do a good deed without the resources, but they didn't bat an eye to fix it! Hello, I have had one of the worst experiences with this RimTyme. The guy (manager) that sold me the rim and tire set was real unhelpful and could not rectify the issue after the sale. My vehicle was not vibrating when I brought it in and once he sold me the other ones it does. I told him 20 minutes after I left the shop what it was doing. He makes every excuse not to fix it. Told me to go get and alignment, wasn't the problem. Then told me to go get the power train checked and bring him the receipt. instead of him fixing the problem he was trying to say it's the truck. Now today he says he can't do anything. Been going they this for over a month. He told me it was the align 1st... when that wasn't it he said it was the lower train... on a new truck. He was running me down a rabbit hole. To this day he tries to finesse me to prove to him that it's not the truck instead of fixing the issue. Sorry excuse for a salesman And business. I'd say there is at least a few guys in there are great. The female employee this morning I witnessed extreme disrespect towards other people and customers. Bad days happen but she acts as if she sits on a throne and everyone must cater to her. She tried covering her butt on a mistake then stared me the customer down as I was a piece of crap. I started recording when I started to feel degraded and I sure hope it was nothing other than a bad day but felt more serious. It's been a long time since I've felt so uncomfortable and Un welcomed in a businesses because of an employees actions and hostility. Honestly, I felt because I wasn't the same as her I was to not get respect. Another employee hit me with a clipboard and I had to apologize for his actions. It was a simple mistake but he dismissed me as well. I give 4 stars for the one employee who did great!! read more
